I bought a used 40d as a spare body because changing the aperture is rubbish and slow on a rebel series. You have to go into the darn lcd screen press a button, then press more buttons and then you can turn the dial. On the 40d you just turn a dial. Plus the top lcd is a god send and both these things together make photography much easier and more fun.
la 350D salio al mercado en 2005,,que kereis mas...la mejor en su año.Ahora una reflex de 21,1megapixel no te atreves ni apreguntar que precio sale.asi que nada de comparaciones.
These two cameras are almost not even comparable. The 40D in it's own class can be considered one of the lower-end "semi-pro" backup body, and what not. As opposed to the Eos 350D, is an entry level DSLR designed for most generic people wanting to capture a photo, someone like a hobbyist.
not trying to prove anything, just a comparison in shooting speed between the two cameras. obviously the two cameras aren't in the same class so its not really a "vs" type video.
I have both models and in fairness theres not a huge difference? I mean yes the 40D has better quality blah blah blah but I find the 350D is more enjoyable? Mainly because it wasnt as expensive and if it was nicked or broken then I wouldnt mind too much (as long as no amazing shots were lost). But I always take my 350 everywhere and its a lot lighter. Plus who needs the extra FPS? Unless your an action photographer and you need it?
Hey I have done thousands of good paintball pics with the ball in the air... i am very happy with 350D... now i am going to 12 mp xsi yis the same cmos sensor but is lighter than 40D .... 40D has WI FI transmitter as an accesory... xsi doesnt but what i need most is resolution...so I can get rebels...
w/e floats your boat, some people need the FPS ^^. I really dont need the 10MP its over kill since I never blow up anything past 8X10. 12MP is even more of an over kill. O_O
both are great cameras. i own them both. the 350d is easier to carry around its more practical for every day use. the 40d looks and acts like a pro camera.
isn't just FPS, it is a big diff, quality of body, viewfinder, function, buttons. In one sentence: 40D is proff . I see allot of people that runs only for hightech, but they just don't use cameras. I see persons that actualy have 1D and use it in full auto!!! All that is matter is the person ho push the button. By the way both are APS-C so ... the wide is .. you know
isn't just that, its the money! not everyone has that money for the 40D but... many people make bad pictures with the 40D, other people make wonderful great shots with a 350D ;-)

Thats great and all, but some people don't need super fast shooting speed. But yeah that is a big difference. I have the Canon 350D and I love it.

Hey, 3 FPS is fine for me with my Rebel XT. Although those sounds from the 40D do sound pretty slick... :O
