  • Responding to the Matters9139 comment about the tempo of Francisco Fernandez's performance, I believe there is historical evidence that Haydn often liked fast tempos for his virtuoso performers, and I think he would commend this performance. On the other hand, performers should be free to experiment with different tempos and see what they can do best. This is excellent.

    One hopes "child prodigies" will remain successful and happy and involved in music as they mature. Accompanists excellent.

  • nice playing, im compliment you on being able to get the complicated trills to sound so crisp at that tempo, but it sounds a quite rushed. if you slowed the tempo a bit i think you would get more of the light and joyful atmosphere that i believe haydn is trying to get across.
