  • @Mummins Nascar mostly defines who wins the race in the last lap, F1 does that in lap 2 and 90% of the races its Vettel, F1 is just a technology showcase of the stuff they will be using on gran turismo cars in the future, not a real sport.

  • I have like 3 months with the audio as my ringtone :D

  • Soooo many armchair mechanical engineers posting here. Go back to your video games, kids.

  • Go fast, brake deep, turn left, all the while running on the razors edge of flat losing it in the turns 1000 times. Work constant heavy traffic at 190 mph. Make millions doing what you love...hats off to these guys...

  • This is the sound of American freedom. If you don't like Nascar, no problem. Save it for the true blooded Americans that enjoy it.

  • bourdais was team mate of sebastian vettel at torro rosso 2008 and he had absolutely no chance. vettel 35p bourdais 4p, vettel won in that shit bucket the gp of monza. vettel now is the 2010 and 2011 champion of f1. nascar is a special thing and montoya isn't that bad. there is no driver out of the us who could do well in f1 except andretti in the late 70s. mansell f1 champion 1991 came into the indy cars as a rookie and won the title 1993 the first ever rookie to make that.

  • Don't sound bad for a Ford.

  • They're making a left turn!

  • @Jellyman5536887 they also do left and right turns, i suggest u learn more about NASCAR before taking the piss

  • I have to agree with KKFan9 It just does not have that "crisp" sound when it revs Doesn't sound like a race engine

  • This is like music to me!

  • nascar sound is cool, everything else about nascar - no

  • super cool

  • think this is loud? imagine 43 of em going around a track at 9000rpms, now thats fucking loud! gotta love nascar

  • That silver thing on the top is not a carburetor pabloVEVO it's an air filter the carburetor is on top of the intake which is below the air filter

  • look at the huge carburator..

  • sounds like a kitty

  • sound like a kitty

  • wat a great sound

  • i want one of them motors in my 83 chevy pickup ;)

  • the concept of nascar seems simple. you go fast and turn left. however, i wanna see all the shit talkers drive down the expressway at 200mph and weave through traffic while taking exit ramps with 3 cars wide. then you can talk shit. i LOOVE nascar and the following! my first race was the 2009 Coke Zero 400 and i met some of the nicest people on the planet there! im hooked baby!

  • @roydied15 Amen !!! It's so awesome !! Because of NASCAR my car is now really loud!

  • The sum of running in circles everywhere....

  • guahuuuuu is cool

  • i'm working on an 85 cutlass with a slightly modified ls1 and am thinking about running an exhaust like the one used on this car what do you think

  • nascars awesome

  • American muscle forever, the birthplace of V8 sound

  • There are muscles

  • nothing makes you appreciate American muscle more then a nascar stock car.

  • this sounds like sweet music to my ears! good ol American V8 power!

  • Swanhyk. They already have better engines in f1 than nascar does.

  • @00through09 ya lol. these are just good old fasioned carbed beasts tones of fun. but f1 is way more advanced. two diferent race styles.

  • @fatdan172501 Ya you right. F1 engines got much more high rpm but that gives them the horses. Nascar has the torque. Combine the two and you got a powerfull engine. Putting a nascar engine in an f1 car would be dirty

  • @00through09 exactly and putting a f1 engine in a nascar would be no fun lol

  • @00through09 no it wouldn't. A Nascar engine+transmission is way too big; all of that bulk would ruin the power-to-weight ratio and the aerodynamics of the F1 car, both of which are crucial. Also, 700 ft-lbs would tear the featherlight F1 car apart. It comes down to two different ways to acheive speed. Reducing mass and friction means small, aerodynamic parts; increasing thrust means big, heavy parts. F1 engine does not produce much thrust per revolution, but less is needed for a lighter car.

  • @majicLS9 Okay. I think i knew that. No shit it would never work.

  • @majicLS9 At one time, "It did"... It was call Formula 5000.

  • @therrydicule Formula 5000 in the united states was popular in the 70's, and the 5L pushrod V8's made about 500 horsepower. Formula 1 engines at that time were either 3L or 1.5L Turbo, and were making up to 900 HP.

  • @majicLS9 Well, you put F5000 a bit late... That was from from 67 to 76 therefor F1 had from 450 to 550 hp. The turbo era in F1 was from 77 (well, the RS01) and up, therefor it was the single-seater Can-am which is somewhat different...

  • if they had these engines in F1 it would be THE sh!t

  • this sure sound like nigga technology

  • where can i get a real nascarengine ?

  • Go to your local race engine builder and buy a sprint car motor.

  • That sound never gets old!

  • 4 letters one word: nice^^

  • i went to a craftsman truck series race and out in the midway there was a car (david ragans i believe) and they started it and it was wayyy louder and had a different sound.

  • Yeah I think in real life anything is going to be louder than this. Videos never do race cars any justice.

  • While I love the sound of NASCAR engines, anyone with a trained ear knows that does not sound like a full-bore NASCAR motor. It may be the camera used, but the motor you hear in this video sounds more like a high speed popcorn popper. This was probably a crate motor decked out to be a NASCAR motor. But also, while I have much respect to F1 for the technology they have, NASCAR engines remain old school. I think they are more amazing than F1 engines because F1 motors are only 1.8L stroke

  • to add on, NASCAR has a 5.8L stroke. More stroke is harder to get the engines wound up to such a high RPM due to the natural physics. Its badass enough that my 3100 V6 Chevy Corsica motor can go up to almost 5,500 RPM stock. NASCAR engnes are double the size and do a hell of a lot more RPM. They are old-school to the bone. F1, yes I like how they are very top of the line, but to me you can make almost any 1.8L motor spin and sound really loud. Thats just my opinion. Im a fan of both racings too

  • It's not hard to get more stroke from your mom when she polishes my knob.

  • NHIS48, please delete this guys comment

  • Dude your 31. Your talking at an 18 year old like that. Your real mature. My mom wouldn'd do anything with a child like you.

  • Not only that, I tried sending you a PM on what your problem is with me, seeing as how you attacked my other video. Apparantly you have "friend lock" on. You are a bitch.

  • @KKFan9

    Don't get mad--get even!

  • @KKFan9

1.8L motor?! It would be the first 1.8L V8 I have ever seen. :P

  • @Kronis72 Oh yes. The F1 motors are very small. Besides, most F1 engines are V10 now.

  • @KKFan9 no there all V8s now 2.4s

  • 2010 is the last year with the 2.4 V8. In 2011 there will be new engines.

  • @KKFan9 F1 engines make more power, F1 cars are faster, and you should be giving your respect towards the opposite side based on the numbers you gave. F1 engines are producing MORE power with LESS space to compress the fuel in. There's a HELL of a lot more "natural physics" to overcome in trying to accomplish that. But good to hear that you're an F1 fan. I don't see whats so exciting about impalas and camrys on cruise control in a circle.

  • @majicLS9 I love both sports man. I love motor sports in general. Yeah I watch more NASCAR than anything else but I always am watching WindTunnel and Speed channel for that matter. As much as I sounded as a very pro NASCAR engine guy, I respect the hell out of what F1 engines can do. All the very modern aspects of the F1 engine, all the technology that goes into F1 engines and the fact that they can do 20,000 RPM and not have pistons raining from the sky, man its amazing.

  • i love you f1 fags

my advice is hop in a nascar and let see how long you last : )

  • @RIEKSONE Nascar is made for rednecks. YYYEEEEEEEEHAAAAHHH theyre so close to each others bumpers holy shiiiit this is gooooooooood raaacin booooyyyzzz!!!!! And HOOLY KRAP their in KAMRYZ!!!!!!!! AND PHORDZZZ!! Name one Nascar driver who went on to dominate the F1 driver's championship. Drawing a blank? yeah me too. However, I can think of one very significant dude who did the visavis.................... think for two seconds, you fuckin styoopid inbred.. god damn i hate retards

  • @majicLS9 Mario Andretti. Now name one F1 driver who went on to dominate the Nascar driver's championship.

PD: I love F1, Nascar and DTM.

  • @Hazendado Mario Andretti retired to nascar after he got too old to drive F1

  • @majicLS9 No. Mario Andetti did 4 incomplete seasons in Nascar winning the 1967 Daytona 500. He was a F1 champion in 1978

  • @majicLS9 wrong, sorry. andretti didnt even win his f1 championship until 11 years after his Daytona 500 win in 67. andretti raced whatever he could... indy, f1, stock cars, sprints, midgets, ect. he just loved racing.

  • @majicLS9 personally, i love all forms of racing. but these days f1 drivers are all a bunch of uppitty hacks who just try to run each other of the course. and its the same 3 teams winning every race. take jpm for example, he came into nascar and all hes done in 4 years is win 2 road races. not to say hes not a great driver but its not nearly as easy as you think it is. if kyle busch busch went to f1 in a decent ride the euro prissy boys would get smoked. nascar is america's motorsport.

  • @Canon39 I agree mostly, but I'm not sure Kyle Busch is the best choice to represent nascar in F1. He's a very talented driver, but I think his maturity issues are holding him back. perhaps Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards, or (love him or hate him) Jimmie Johnson? I know Gordon and Montoya once switched cars back when JPM was still in f1 for a publicity thing.

  • @Canon39

no one out of the nascar would smoke any of the f1 drivers. look at bourdais he won 4 champ car titles and had no chance in f1. he had no chance because of the late breaking, he simply couldn't do that to be fast.

  • @Mummins First of all Im going to throw a name out for consideration: JUAN PABLO MONTOYA. Secondly, nobody cared about Champ Car when it existed, AJ Allemdinger won 5 times in Champ Car and has yet to win a NASCAR race. Lastly, who are you to say why Bordais didnt succeed in F1? i doubt it was due to his braking ability, but rather the fact that he was on a team that has one victory in its entire history. you clearly have never actually competed in this sport, your arguments lack reasoning...

  • @Canon39

gerhard berger said in an interview that bourdais had a problem with braking that late, f1 have carbon fibre brakes not so the champ cars. f1 is much more technically than nay other series and if you are not into that u have no chance today.

  • @RIEKSONE hey didn't tony steward come out of Indy cars and go into NASCAR?

  • @majicLS9 top fuel Funny engines make more power than both F1 and NASCAR engines put together

  • @KKFan9 solid lifter cam and high compression and a little rich because its not at high rpm. you are an idiot .

  • @theantinignog I been to a NUMBER of races and work around engines enough to know what I'm listening for. REGARDLESS of what it is, it's not a fully-tuned race motor. It's a show car.

  • @KKFan9 your wrong that is not a dealership show car with a crate 350 and a lumpy cam. listen to a few more and rethink your stance.

    .

  • nascar is cool

  • Comment removed

  • @Millennium9000 For gurls! Its all about F1

  • Are you kidding me?

  • Oh yeah? try driving one dickhead... that would change your opinion

  • that's a ford, kurt busch's #97 in 2005.

  • sounds like a chevy,cool

  • go listen to a mercedes v8 race car engine....

  • Why? Who cares, krispenev?

  • aww im in love :)

  • LORD HAVE MERCY WHAT A SOUND GREAT

  • it's like a FART hahaa. NOW this is a proper engine watch?v=bbCcGQXuqXw

  • @Choice777 altough European and Japanse cars (F1) are above American cars in every way these days, I still get a way more goosebumpy feeling when I hear a Nascar than that wyning F1 sound

    watch?v=N78-va_Y6mk&playnext_from=TL&videos=_Gfc3iwn1sw

  • @Jayskiallthewayski sound is not a true method to judge the performance of a system..take for example combustion engines and electric engines...the electric oen might be silent, but still be stronger...or take coal plants and nuclear plants..i bet it's the more silent one that's got the punch.

  • @Choice777 not to say a F1 is silent :D

  • @Choice777 I totally agree with you, that's kinda what I said up here.

I'm just talking about the fun factor, you can have a woman with a few extra pounds that is a lot of fun to be around with, great sex or you can have this perfect build girl that bores the shit out of you.

Not that I would say that driving a F1 is boring, I just think the Nascar V8 is more fun, a lot more "sex" in that engine, lol.

  • @Jayskiallthewayski you cant compare sex to engines dude those are two completely different ballparks. For example with engines faster is always better, no matter what.... quite an obscure metaphor if you ask me

and the video that Choice777 posted sounds millions of times better than this piece of shit!! God damn this thing is like a pile of firecrackers by comparison watch?v=bbCcGQXuqXw if the hairs on the back of your neck dont raise at 0:50 you seriously have to be dead

  • @majicLS9 You really think comaring sex to cars is an obscure metaphor?

Than you never called a car sexy or drove 250 and said damn this is better than sex????

    It was a joke, mark.

  • Lovely sound, but youtube never does justice to sheer volume and presence these race cars really have, it really is mind blowing.

  • mercedes-amg sound beats em up

  • Mercedes are built by people who were toilet trained at gunpoint.

  • @MrExnihilo Mercedes are good cars, IMO. Nowhere near as cool as this, but their road-going V8s sound beastly nonetheless.

  • @MrExnihilo Jealously will get you nowhere!

  • nice engine!

  • how many bhp?

  • arent these around 800 or r those formula 1? not to sure. but there powerful

  • Yeah they are both around 800, really depends on the manufacturer...

  • My god what the hell are in these things???

How much money go into these engines??

  • 850hp small blocks.. $100k easy

  • It's about 50k. I took a tour at Hendrick Motorsports and asked them. :). I was like: can I just have one for free? haha.

  • nice...

  • lol anyway mr subhuman you are not stating anything stating is another thing you judge people what? --how is watching a bunch of hillbillies drive around in a circle a sport or whats so badass about watching hillbillies drive around in a circle for hours ---this is your idea you say they are hill billies we say they are normal people not like your sub character

  • It is probably awesome to be an F1 driver, but it is dead boring to watch. NASCAR on the other hand is bad ass to watch and I love the sound of those mean machines.

I've already started saving so that I can import a nascar and race it here in Norway, even though there are only a few suitable race tracks around hehe...

  • sound like a drag race car

  • yep, a nascar`s technique is to be ket simple, thats part of the idea, andwhat are U talking about vai!? F-1 engines just sqeak like pigs when they get slaughtered, whether a nascar sounds like sheere power, they might be slower, so? i did not say they were faster, but they sound much better, you should visit an F-1 race, then you're gonna find out what i mean.

  • F1: 925 HP at 19.800 rpm - 2l (122in³) engine - seven gears

    Nascar: 850 HP - 5,8l (354in³) engine - four gears

    Nascar is an ancient technique

    F1, however, is ultra-modern technology.

I like for example the sound of the Mazda 787b also.

  • wow, that sounds so much better and more powerful than the squeaky F-1 shit,

  • sounds weaker and slower you lose.

  • 800

  • How many horses does a nascar have??

  • i never thought nascar sounded like this until a while back and now i love the sound real nascar fan 2

  • I love hearing the engine rev!!!

  • my race car sound like that to, but mine only hads 400hp and raced on dirt

  • no mines 400hp and mine sounds like that but the vid proobaly messes with the sound, im sure in real life its alot better sounding

  • When i was in college we had a ford race team from the busch series have their car there. I thought it was a show car just sitting on campus, then i got to talking with them, car had the real 358 ci pushing around 650hp. The guy asked me when classes were letting out so he could start it up. I can tell you from first hand experience it was an awesome feel and sound. Kinda thing that "tickles your weewee." quote Mike Rowe-Dirty Jobs :P

  • This is a de-tuned show car, the real enignes are much louder and way too expensive to use. Most teams just use 350 crate motors.

  • its better than renault sound my opinion

    greetz from belgium

  • why do people keep comparing F1 and nascar? its obvious that F1 technology is the testbed of technologies that would eventually funnel down to road cars which NASCAR uses. So there is no contest here. F1 engines are louder and more powerful. Even if NASCAR has 1000 HP engines its obvious that 19000 RPM accelerates faster. The reason why NASCAR doesnt whine is because its engines cant rev that high. Americans arent used to F1 so theyre amazed to whats available to them (a brick).

  • Well, just imagine, a NASCAR engine has got only four gears, a formula 1 seven, a NASCAR can reach the 9000 RPM with only 4 gears, imagine the force prower of this engines, that's why I love NASCAR

  • What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

  • ROFLOLCOPTER!!!

  • hahahaha billy madison yeah

  • Yes maybe so but the last time I looked in my car I had three pedals and stick, not a fucking paddle shifter.

    F1 makes me sick

  • I know! they do like no passing. And the guy with the lead in turn one is probly going to win. Whats the fun in that?

  • lol how does f1 make you sick? if you like cars you should like both types of racing......f1 is just the best of technology that's all. paddle shifting is for more then one reason, and if you can't name them all, then you shouldn't be saying I don't like it.....

your not even giving it a chance.

  • I tryed to watch an F1 race once and there were 3 things I noticed

    1) No close racing for lead

    2)Not very many Pileups

    3) No side by side finishes.

I have nothing agenst you or F1. I just think its boring.

  • If this an 800 hp engine then why are the people around the car not covering their ears as the engine revs? Stand next to a revving F1 engine without earplugs and your eardrums will exploded.

  • I can smell the alcohol now.... I'm into dirt late models so I smell alcohol unlike you asphalt crowd with your racing gasoline.

  • maannnn...rite at 0:24 is ridiculous sounding

  • lol broken lawnmower ? it's called a cam

358ci pushing 800hp all motor, mmmmm

  • LoL. No, just.....no

  • No. It can't. There's no traction control in these babies.

  • haha BS buddy, f1 is an annoying quiet wine, this is powerful engines, christ

  • you call a <3.0litre engine with a 19000 rev line quiet, jaqu you're sadly mistaken. The engines used in F1 cars are beautifully engineered art. These cammed and stroked nascar engines are quite cool but you can not compare them to a engine used in a Formula 1 car.

  • I agree totally with you. F1 sounds awesome and Nascar sounds awesome. Both series use great engines-but it is dump to compare them when both series are confined by very different rules. F1 certainly isn't quiet as jaqua524 said, but neither is a Sprint Cup car engine. If you want true ridiculous loudness, stand next to a top fuel dragster!

  • most f1 drivers say nascar drivers are then them

  • 66612345678 is correct

  • Broken lawn mower? With 800HP give me that lawnmower any day

  • I wish my broken lawnmower sounded as good as that.

  • The greatest sound in the world.

  • true words... true words...

  • Nascar is my favorite sport! Why the fucking fuck don't we have this in Europe? I hate Europe just because we don't have this!

  • No I hate Formula 1 and love Nascar. Nascar is all about high speed, badass sound and amaziing crashes.

  • SO don't watch Mr.--- Nobody forces you to watch..You talking about European style but you still CAN'T LEARN DEMOCRACY SOME LIKE ,SOME DO NOT ---WHAT IS THE POINT

YOU CAN NOT JUDGE PEOPLE NOBODY CAN--

  • shut the FUCK up, what r u talking about democracy? I'm stating my opinion about this so called "sport"

  • pussy and nascar hell yeah!

  • damn rite lol

  • thats right! Its the fastest that get paid and the fastest that gets laid! (By beautiful smoken Hott cicks)

  • it's 850 horse power not 800

  • Actually, I talked to the team manger of a nascar team today, and He told me it was 800

  • i just loove that sounds makesthe ground shake

  • That sound is why I love going to races.

  • shit you know that's every bit of 800 horses

  • that sounds Amazing!

  • hells jyeah! what a beautiful sound

  • Nice sound, indeed.

  • music to your earssssss....

  • More like heaven.

  • They should make a street leagel version of the nascar nextel cup stock car. But how much would that cost?
