That was such a contradiction from edz father wow...now he is tryibng to turn lucas father to stop them from getting together but its too late..thihs is getting so suspensful I love it. I am so glad that Edwin is so strong with his devotion for his lucas i hope it stays that way...As for edwins father I think he really needs someone to wake him up but i think lucas's father is the very one to do all that and soon and i hope it doesnt spoil anything between lucas and his dad.
I think Anton's behaviour is quite realistic for someone of his generation and upbringing. It's not always easy for parents to accept things about their children that go against all their plans and dreams for them and I think sometimes their children push too hard. In Anton's case, tho, I'm a bit mystified. If he just didn't want to accept his gay son, that would be one thing, but he can't even acknowledge that Ed *is* gay. That's disturbing and I'm worried him taking his anger out on Lucas.

@yamdev11 no it's not true he is a very good brother and he is also very adorable to the rest of his friends and family but when you mess with lucas he will show that he is Mr. Bitch because it's his character he is very forward and honest and that is what i like about the lucas character no nonsense just honesty there are a lot of people who can learn from him he has his weak sides (don't tell him because he will deny it and tell you he is flawless) but we al have our weak parts i adore lucas.
It's amazing how Anton's seemingly good intentions are so destructive. Although homophobic, he means well: he earnestly wants what he believes is best for his son. At first blush, Bianca "mothers" Edwin while Anton treats him like a young adult. In fact, the truth is quite the opposite: Bianca trusts Edwin's evolving understanding of the world and how he fits into it. Anton treats him as if he were an easily duped child who needs constant shielding from the big bad world.
oh, well...i knew the father will do everything he can to persuade Edwin out of Lucas. It can get ugly, but, what matter is Edwin's true feelings. Go Edwin Go! Edwin's father will never listen but his, until something really will get worst or Edwin and Lucas fight for what they have. It' s just how the world goes both in real life and in soap. The world never listen until something happens so bad. It's just a fact. Nothing different from other shows, but rooting for L&E FTW!♥

@axreason I agree. Wiet has spent a lot of time in her life feeling abandoned and having to be alone and take care of herself and she worries about not being wanted or loved. I think that's why she acted the way she did with Noud and Lucas at first and I think they know that and that's why they were willing to forgive her. She acts bossy but she's still a kind of fragile 16 year old who has never had a stable home or stable parenting. I think Sjors and Jack realize now that the needs them

@nyser1 Well actually Lucas hasn't known Ludo for very long, not in an intimate way. He may think Ludo tolerates him because of his mother, Janine. For all Lucas knows, Ludo may feel the same way and simply doesn't say so. I mean if I was told that some man, even my friend, threatened my wife's child, I would at least want the kid to know I have his back. Ludo should have stood up for Lucas and let Lucas know that he has nothing to fear from Anton and Ludo would never let it get that far.

She liked having a nice boyfriend and Edwin was a challenge and I'm sure they will be friends. But Wiet is part of a long line of transitional girlfriends for teen boys who come out of the closet (happens in the real world every day). Wiet is smart, and pretty and she has family that loves her. And she almost died so I think she's just happy to be alive. I think she understands
@nyser1 There was a little bit of tension between them in the beginning right after Edwin came out, but Edwin did say to Wiet that Lucas is her best friend, I think this is ok and some girls actually do react like this when the guy is gay and not just falling for another girl, though I do wish that he would spend more time with his old friend Noud, ever since Wiet came into the picture the Lucas/Noud friendship just disappeared.
@nyser1 Wiet doesn't blame Lucas for Edwin being gay and I think what Edwin say to Wiet made alot of sense to her. Yes her feelings are hurt but that doesn't mean she has to be mad at Lucas. Lucas is her best friend and she knows he wasn't trying to hurt her. Life is too short to hold a grudge. I think the whole overdosing thing made Wiet realize how out of control she'd gotten. Who could stay mad at Lucas? Wiet and Edwin only dated for like a month or so, it's not like they were engaged.

On another note, what's up with Lucas going to discuss his Edwin-troubles with WIET?? Insensitive much? I guess I shouldn't be bothered since the show clearly wants us to ignore any (realistic) possibility that there would be tension between Lucas and Wiet.

Also, Lucas has no way of knowing that Ludo has a very good reason not to get on Anton's bad side right now. I still find it... petulant for him to suddenly leap to the conclusion that Ludo - who has never been phased by Lucas' sexuality - is a "gay hater"!!

@nyser1 No, but he has a LOT of experience, the last time with the Noud and Nina debacle, in harrasing people and making their lives a living hell! Ludo is non other than a Lucifer incarnation!

@nyser1 Well actually Lucas hasn't known Ludo for very long, not in an intimate way. He may think Ludo tolerates him because of his mother, Janine. For all Lucas knows, Ludo may feel the same way and simply doesn't say so. I mean if I was told that some man, even my friend, threatened my wife's child, I would at least want the kid to know I have his back. Ludo should have stood up for Lucas and let Lucas know that he has nothing to fear from Anton and Ludo would never let it get that far.

@nyser1 Had the exact same thought over this episode. Just a week ago Wiet was still burning anything that had to do with either Lucas or Edwin, and now she's the good ol' friend again who's there to listen. :S

@nyser1 depends on the person i suppose wiet does have her eyes on someone else now women get over things a lot faster than men do...for gay men even faster... life is short a failed relationship or your Bff ya either wallow in self pity or u move on and get over it.... its a small town u can't avoid them

@nyser1 @Smouvmaster I want to remind you that Lucas and Wiet were in a "competition" for boys. Wiet was in it to have sex with a boyfriend, she was trying to get a guy for now....First Edwin, then his brother, back to Edwin. She is very young... very very young. YOUNG people in the real world bounce back quickly. In the "reel" world it can be even faster. Edwin told her he was in-Love with Lucas. "Game" over... she let it go. She would love to be the flower girl at their wedding.

@DocDawg79 LOL! You have a point. I still find the show's refusal to acknowledge any tension between them (beyond those few seconds in Noud's bedroom) a bit unrealistic, but I'll employ "the willing suspension of disbelief" and move on. XD

@DocDawg79 I agree. I do think she has genuine feelings for Edwin but I also think she knows it's not about her. She liked having a nice boyfriend and Edwin was a challenge and I'm sure they will be friends. But Wiet is part of a long line of transitional girlfriends for teen boys who come out of the closet (happens in the real world every day). Wiet is smart, and pretty and she has family that loves her. And she almost died so I think she's just happy to be alive. I think she understands

@nyser1 There was a little bit of tension between them in the beginning right after Edwin came out, but Edwin did say to Wiet that Lucas is her best friend, I think this is ok and some girls actually do react like this when the guy is gay and not just falling for another girl, though I do wish that he would spend more time with his old friend Noud, ever since Wiet came into the picture the Lucas/Noud friendship just disappeared.

@nyser1 Wiet doesn't blame Lucas for Edwin being gay and I think what Edwin say to Wiet made alot of sense to her. Yes her feelings are hurt but that doesn't mean she has to be mad at Lucas. Lucas is her best friend and she knows he wasn't trying to hurt her. Life is too short to hold a grudge. I think the whole overdosing thing made Wiet realize how out of control she'd gotten. Who could stay mad at Lucas? Wiet and Edwin only dated for like a month or so, it's not like they were engaged.
