  • What I would do to be a fly on the wall when they recorded this.

  • One day, 13 years ago, a little toddler heard a wonderful noise coming from the living room. She wanted to know what was making the noise, so she climbed out of her crib for the first time. Her mom then told her about Queen, and the little girl learned many more glorious queen songs. She has grew up with Queen ever since. That girl was me

  • @ilovefreddie09 And a grown 53 year-old man such as me understands this. Love this man to this very day I do. I could offer what I have heard over the years, however? May I humbly offer Innuendo? Statement of fact song is I hope beyond hope you understand?

  • extremely talented band

  • Crazy that this and the Prophet song are on the same album

  • This is a great song to Lindy Hop to :)

  • Queen, one gutsy, progressive, aggressive band. They just didn't care about trends or what ever was going on. They just did their thing. I wish more bands would do so and not be stuck trying just to sound like everybody else.

  • Fun Fact: The bridge from 0:51 to 1:20 contains no instruments except piano and drums. That's right: those "wind instrument" sounds are from Mercury and Taylor's voices.

  • @batman9161 And Roger playing the kazoo :)

  • @lulzyandoli That wasn't a kazoo. That was his voice overdubbed several times to sound like brass and woodwinds. No joke dude. It's the same as on "Good Company", where Brian May uses his guitar to sound like a Dixieland band.

  • @trainchugger53 Haha, I'm talking about around 1:03, Roger uses a kazoo :) but yeah, it's so incredible that Freddie and Roger pulled it off perfectly with just their voices, a piano, and drums. :D

  • This sounds like it should be played at a ride at Disney world xD

  • Hey Freddie, I'll meet you tomorrow on your birthday.....at the seaside!

  • Mon rendez vous avec toi au bord de French Riviera une nuit, j'aime tellement les paroles et elles sont ecrites pour nous

RIP Freddie and we still miss you as much and thanks for these beautiful words as I am living in a dream of your words

  • Wow what a great and fun song :D

  • simply brilliant..Freddie Mercury had the most purely perfect voice I have ever heard. Amazing song writer,he designed Queens logo.chose their name in part because it is regal and absolute.he was the Greatest Frontman EVER.he was loyal to his friends shy and sweet in his private life..he was part of something so rare Queen.Brian May guitar master Roger Taylor extrodonary drummer John Deacon fantastic bass I was lucky them in concert '77 and'78 nothing like them.will always miss Freddie

  • freeench...

  • I love this song.I was lucky enough to see Queen live a few times.'77 '78 and '82..they just blew me away every time!! Pure Genius..4 Amazing Men..this group never disapointed..Freddie Mercury..perfect voice..beautiful, sexy.sweet! Brian May master of the guitar..Roger Taylor great drummer..John Deacon..loved his bass..everyone an amazing songwriter...what a perfect combination..I miss your presence Farrokh Bulsara..you were a gift..This bands music will endure.I will always be a fan!

  • @helga284 wow I'm so jellous! lol...tht's awesome you got to see them when u did...I love watching the live videos...Mercury had a real stage presense!

  • @matco24 yea I was lucky...Its really great that now I can watch all the videos...and see concert clips..Freddie was a gem..they were all amazing..saw alot of big names in the 70's..they were all good..but no one ever touched Queen live...

  • 2 people don't deserve to go on a seaside rendezvous.

  • @Crdmapleleafs I know, right? I love the light-hearted songs on this alblum

  • @matco24 People just don't get how great this music is!

  • @Crdmapleleafs for sure man...for sure.....man...on this one page...this guy was calling freddy mercury the "aids guy" I so wanted to punch him! lol

  • @matco24 No need to, haters gonna hate.

  • comment removed for stating Queen is the BEST BAND IN THE WORLD.

  • this song always gives me butterflys in my tummy :)

  • ^_^ so happy!

  • soooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuute!

  • QUEEN = THE BEST

  • I love listening to pure talent.(:

  • It's so complicated

  • I love Mercury's stuff. Very big on ragtime. I love this one and Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy....brilliant stuff.

  • Queen's my clementine <3

  • Queen are the best band ever. When you hear this you have to agree unless you´re deaf of course.

  • @TheJumpyPopcorn I like them but they aren't my favorite, but they were at one time!

  • @Crimzoid21 omg Thanks for that information. My Mailbox has been FUCKING overflowing with mail. Yep! Wondering how much you were into Queen.

  • @TheJumpyPopcorn Everyone has different tastes, but I agree. Even though I'm more into metal right now, Queen will always be the best for me :)

  • All the brass you hear is Roger and Freddie, and the tap-dancing sound is made by tapping their fingers on the soundboard. Queen is amazing when it comes to making sounds :D For example Brian May imitated the sound of a dixieland jazz quartet only with his Red Special in "Good Company"

  • @Kalabanano He played the ukelele in that song, right?

  • The brass on this record was roger and Freddie vocals

  • lol

  • Queen, what else?

  • Amazing, considering all "brass" you hear was played by Brian on the Red Special.

  • @fyncimynci not all, i beleive some is done by Freddie and Roger

  • This song makes me happy :)

  • I JUST realized why I named my goldfish "Silvery Moonlight" when I was a kid.

  • always makes me happy this one.....got my first electric guitar and tried to play along hahaha stil got the guitar a BELWOOD SUPER SWINGER.....And altough I have bought other guitars trough the years...When I look at my first one i hear seaside rendez vous...and of course death on two legs and sweet lady...still love that song.......

  • I'm so glad kids of today like Queen. My dad gave me this album after it came out and I was 9 years old. Now my daughter loves them too. She's even tried to steal the album from me.

  • @oldpunker1

I wish my dad had that album. I've been looking for a CD everywhere, but I couldn't find it in my country. Seems that E- bay is only soluttion for me.

Say hello to your daughter from me. :D If I were her, I'd do the same thing! :)

  • @kraljina888 u can download ofcourse, it's free.

  • you can never have too mutch kazoo in a song :) and no one can do it like queen.

  • Tammy True Mason my precious girl I LOVE SOOOO MUCH !!! D.DOODLE

  • me and Queen:

one day, a 12 y.o and her mother were in the car, with the radio on, when a song by the name of Bohemian Rhapsody came on. the kid laughed because she didnt believe that there was a song so epic, then the mother explained who Queen were and what the song was about. then nearly 2 years later, i am nearly 14 and asked for A Night At The Opera for my birthday, so i can add to my Queen collection, in memory of my absolute hero Freddie Mercury(♥)

    i hope i get it!

  • @maximumridechik If your mother could tell you who Queen was, then I'm sure she will grant you your wish just for asking. Happy birthday!

  • @adlibman i bought it with my birthday money, i enjoy it

  • @maximumridechik A great way to invest your birthday money for many years of listening pleasure. I first heard Queen when I was about your age, then got busy and distracted with life.

I just started enjoying them again recently and like everyone who missed out, wish I could have been at one of their great live concerts.

At least the music will live forever, even if Freddie couldn't.

  • @maximumridechik lol kewl but i ehar in walmart u can buy a night at opera and day at races :D i got em both :D :D :D i hope u do 2 c:

  • @killdoser123 i have both!

  • @maximumridechik When i was 12 i got it on vinyl for like 50 cents. I'm 24 now, keep rockin!

  • @nickslespaul WAT!!!! no fair ^^ i hopin to get ALL queen cds that wuld be an EPIC b day present

  • @maximumridechik

    OH WOW SO UNIQUE, <3

    Get the fuck out.

  • @CrispyAnt why? i got it, did i not? i believe you are being a hypocrite, as it's YOU who should GTFO

  • @maximumridechik That totally happened to me

  • @maximumridechik MARRY ME

  • @Zestypanda lol just kidding.

  • @CornPolitifunnyed Darn, I guess I will have to return this delicious cake.

  • @maximumridechik Awesome I am 14 yars old and my art teacher gave me his A Night at the Opera record.

  • @MegaGammo Peed in your pants, did you not?

  • @MegaGammo Good for him/her

  • exelente!!!!

  • I still have a hard time believing that the brass section is really just Freddie and Roger's voices. Those guys had no limit. Absolutely brilliant.

  • me gusta mucho esta cancion.....buenos recuerdos

  • Awesome song from an amazing album!! Easily one of, if not the single greatest album to ever be released :)

  • it's a testament to the genius of Queen that not only would they have the balls to actually put songs like Seaside Rendezvous, Good Company, and Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon on their album, but the fact that they did such a damn good job at them that diehard rock/metal fan like myself considers them his favorite songs on the album

  • @steakdiaper Haha im the exact same way.I grew up on 80s thrash but there is always a place in my heart 4 some Night At The Oprah

  • haha i love the middle! daaaa de de dededidededeeeee!

  • lovely

  • Two people who dislike this like Justin Beiber obviously XD

  • I love when he says, " c'est la vie Mesdames et Messieurs!" Gosh, I love that man.

  • Queen's "Seaside Rendezvous" was another one of Freddie Mercury's ingenious accomplishments in music writing. A trumpet, clarinet, kazoo, and tubas helped create a "Your Hit Parade" moment from the swingin' '40s. The tap dance segment was performed by Freddie and Roger on the mixing desk with thimbles on their fingers, but then again, that was "Freddie" ... I mean, were there any limits to his extravagant abilities and genius?

  • @70sPopRock None of those instruments were actually played in this song. That was all guitar and singing.

  • Freddie Mercury. Genius. End of.

  • Cute song :))

  • Freddie Mercury: great musician, or greatest musician?

  • PURE GENIUS,,,, QUEEN LIVES FOREVER... RIP FREDDI.. THE BEST MUSICIAN OF 20TH CENTURY

  • LOVE THIS SHIT G

  • @DocWyldeCard Thank you buddy i found it

  • This is a take-off on 19th century and early 20th British beer hall songs. Freddie wrote it; he could write any kind of music. I really love this song and play it often. Queen -- there's never been anyone to equal them.

  • this is Queens` answer to LedZeppelins` "DownByTheSeaside"???? Its very good, sounds like queens answer to the 'Sgt.Pepper' album a little bit, what with all the generous track use.

  • the BEST band of ever!

  • give us a kiss!

  • ....."shine on silvery moonlight"

    Love that Harmony part!!!!!

  • If anyone knows another use of multi-tracked kazoo (1:00 to 1:21) anywhere in the history of music I'd love to know...

  • @randomtrivia384 Those aren't kazoos. Freddie and Roger used their voices to imitate those instruments. Roger hits a nice C7 at the end.

  • @Fr0zenT0ast Thanks, didn't know that. Still great for comedy value though.

  • this reminds me of your mother should know/honey pie by the beatles-beatles rule as usual

  • For the tap dancing scene Freddie and Roger put thimbles on the top of their fingers and tapped them on a table. Haha I love them.

  • Freddie and Roger mimicking a horn section in the middle: freaking brilliant.

  • i dont like the new youtube =/ good song tho

  • I don't think Queen has made one song I don't love. I'm not sugarcoating it, these guys are perfect.

  • ;-)

  • "Mein kleiner grüner Kaktus"

  • Best queen song ever!

  • So tres charmant my dear

  • great song

  • great song!!

and to think that at 0:53-1:20 is just freddie's and roger's voices!!

  • reminds me of a more upbeat version of 'When I'm 64' by The Beatles. Its got a nice old fashioned theme to it :)

  • That is exactly what is sounds like, excellent comparison.

  • 0:43 es verdad jajajaja

  • 0:43 "en la cima dame presion" jajaja

  • hay, did anyone catch that seemingly new biography of him on the bio channel tonight? I think they got a couple of things wrong though but it was still highly enjoyable to watch. This song must have been so much fun to do in the studio lol!

  • queen = my favorite band

  • i love this song. it makes me smile xD

  • This song makes me happy :)

  • Lovely song... became my first favourite Queen not belinging to the Greatest Hits Album :)

  • excellent song, i luv it

  • This could be a Ween song, that isn't saying anything bad about either band, Queen, Ween, they are both great.

  • Let my imagination run away with you gladly!

A brand new angle - highly commendable!

    Seaside rendezvous!

  • one of their best songs and one that captures the best things about queen; how fun they seemed to have while making music, that they didn't take themselves so seriously y'know, and also... I love that there's so much going on in this song, all the time there are likt ten things happening at the same time, it's completely insane and brilliant. Bring back that Leroy brown is even crazier. love queen.

  • one of the best songs of the 1975's

  • just doesn't sound 70's though---much older themes-- and campy

  • Cute song, its happy!

  • mitico album...

  • awesome song!
