IMO, busta shouldn't be making music, he rarely raps(i heard him rap once but i can't find the song it was on...), he is just talking with the sample, not rapping..... he should have left black sabbath samples to mix a lot
@avatar9103 All this is is the great guitar riff from Iron Man and some guy swearing ever 3 seconds. Black Sabbath is heavy metal and Busta Rhymes is rap, on their own they're great but mixing the two.... ugh!
@neji100 I'm talking about where Busta Rhymes is rapping on it. It just doesn't sound right mixing heavy metal with rap. Nothing against Busta Rhymes but it just don't sound right. Save with the song that Black Sabbath did with Ice-T.
@TheRokunana Your a narrow minded moron music is about collaboration and collaborating different genres is amazing so if you got nothing nice to say fuck off troll
@MrCityBear I'm not trolling anything. When I was looking up Black Sabbath stuff I noticed this Black Sabbath tribute album Nativity in Black, one of those was this song right here and I just wanted to know what this was like. I listened to the whole thing and I didn't care for it. Not everybody has to come in and watch this and then sing its praises. It's called having different opinions. Try learning that everybody is different before you call people morons.
@MrTreraygibson I guess having different opinions than others is no longer accepted. *sigh* Why does everybody have to agree with everybody else? If every comment here said this song was so amazing then what would be the point in having a comments section?
I respect your view - but I think it introduces Black Sabbath to millions of people who may not already know of them, and if Black Sabbath didn't approve of Busta doing this, he wouldn't have got their permission.
I like this version a lot - and I also love the "gimmi some more" song with Bernard Herrman's music from Psycho - it's not better than the original score but it gives the music respect.
I mean, aye - the original shites all over this- but it's not in competition
@craigfromnewcastle Yeah I understand where you're coming from. I really phrased my statement badly. I ment to say I just don't care for it. I like the fact that the song is being reintroduced though as you had stated.
Thanks - it's nice for Ozzy too - he's done the metal music for 40 years, he loves the Beatles, and they were all about mixing up different styles - I don't think this song is great, but I love the fact that 2 artists respect each other.
I just found out Ozzy sang "shake your head" "Was not Was" - with Madonna - and he did a song with Miss Piggy too- Ozzy is a rock god for ever, Sabbath are rightfully in the history books for ever.
@Bustersword6piece It's just my personal opinion. I don't really care for this song. What Busta Rhymes is saying in the song doesn't go too well with the riff.
@TheRokunana Actually It does! Ive listened to this song 5 times so far and Well I think this is The best mix of metal and rap. I dont care for rap at all, Its about that fag bullshit Dubstep and the rapper are sweater then Gummy Bears. Busta Did a great Job following Iron man rythem
@blackserenade24 WHAT?! Man Bus is 1 of the coldest mutha fuckaz ever. What the FUCK are you talking about. ALL OF THE HIP HOP NATION (in the industry & outside) gives Bus mad love & respect. Just bcuz YOU don't like something don't mean it's wack. Actually, YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN TRY.....to make an intelligent comment.
while this version is massively altered compared to the original, it still exists as a homage and was made out of respect. its merely proof that black sabbath influenced even musicians and artists outside of its genre.
This isn't Busta at his most lyrically dense, but this is intense.
I feel like he's just punched me in the face. I may need to go to the hospital because of the sheer force of this song. I mean this in the best possible way.
Busta & Ozzy kilt this shit!!! I'm not a fan of rock music, but I don't get pissed off when rappers and rockers collaborate, so rock rans shouldn't either!
I'ma die hard sabbath fan, I like the beat to this song. Don't see all the hate, I mean Ozzy's in this FN song, he had to think it was atleast decent.
I feel he should pay for putting this horrible song out there. The point of this album was to cover Sabbath songs as a tribute. Apparently Busta just can't sing a song without screaming nigga
@reivenlocke@reivenlocke Huh? You make no sense; what is Rhymes supposed to do, get down on his knees and give the dude a blow job? The "shout out" in of itself is collaborating on the song.
What song have you ever heard, where different artists are collaborating, do you hear one stop and thank the other for being in the studio? LMAO. The thanks, hand shakes, hugs and props are done before and after.
All the time. Busta did it for Zhane on "It's a Party" on "The Coming". He did it for Janet Jackson on "What's it Gonna Be?" and Mystikal on "Iz They Wildin Wit Us" on ELE. But Busta can't be bothered to acknowledge the man whose beat he's using even though he's right in the studio.
@reivenlocke Fair enough, although you say: "all the time" but only site three examples; but I won't split hairs with you. I guess my bottom line is that just because someone does not give a shout out to an artist during a recording, it does not quantify disrespect.
I would use athletes giving shout outs to "mom" as a proper analogy; it does not mean the kids love dad any less.
Ozzy, in actuality, didn't need to be in the same studio as Busta for his part. Ozzy could have been requested to sing that verse and a half and have the tape sent to him. Nothing Ozzy couldn't have done in his studio at home.
@avatar9103 he doesn't understand the Flow i guess. i mean this was back in '98 or '99. Busta pretty much rips this beat. then u have Ozzy, no need 4 me 2 explain him, just simply that he's 1 of the prominent Rock Legend.
