  • 2007?? How old was she here? Lol, ”shut up!”

  • Betty was one of The Best there ever was.

Thanks for this beautiful, energetic, sweet reminder, daveholm.

Rest In Peace, Sweet Betty. And, Thank You.

  • I own many Betty Huuton films, with Bettys autographs. I own two signed photos w/ her autograph even all her hits on dvd with her autograph..Love it

  • This film was made in 1947, but this scene is supposed to be taking place in about 1915. Typical of Hollywood at that time, this song has absolutely no resemblance to American music in 1915 and is completely of the 1940s, since it's basically a boogie-woogie - that's the "rumble, rumble, rumble" part.

I've liked Betty ever since I started seeing her old movies on TV in the 1960s, but a little of her can go a long way, with the crazed exhilaration that sends her arms and legs flying.

  • i am a new huge fan of betty hutton. it really burns me that most of her movies are not available for dvd. they're just rotting away in some studio vault..

  • She was a class performer!!! What energy. She can sing and swing....A great act.

  • betty hutton was simply amazing! i am trying to find all of her movies on dvd. i am having a tough time trying to find them all..she did about 35 movies that i know of. hopefully, the studios will release more of her movies on dvd, or maybe come out with the SIGNATURE BETTY HUTTON COLLECTION. that would be cool.

  • lol...

  • I was like, that hat is going to fall off! But it didn't!? Hum they must have had it hooked to her hair. Anyway i love that song!

  • A new book on betty Hutton. it is called "Rockin Horse" Just came out...

  • That's an awesome dress!

  • Both her and her sister were great talents! Great video!!

  • wow ! I discovered Betty over the summer and fell in love with all of her numbers ! she was a ball of energy and such an actress ! I am a jazz vocalist and am determined to keep this spirit and talent alive . I ordered a few of her numbers to perform one of my favorites includes Murder he says it was hard to find ! but I was determined what is this songs title ? Is it Rumble?

  • Aw, that's great! :D I sing her songs too, but I sing more "show tunes" than "jazz"

The song is called "Rumble, Rumble, Rumble"

  • She had so much energy, just totally put it all out there. What guy would have had enough confidence to pursue her? I loved the way she got help for her exit :~)

  • Wow, that lady had talent!

Nobody could do this scene these days!

  • frogrfb, I agree with you totally. Betty was an enormous talent that would almost be impossible to duplicate in this day and age.

  • Sigh... I found out she died only a couple of days after she did when I was looking for an address to send her a fan letter... I was so sad and horrified that I cried!

    RIP Betty, you're an inspiration.

  • One of my favorite Hutton numbers! Such energy! Thanks for the clip!

  • She's smokin' baby! Boy could she rumble!

  • it's strange and sad how today never matches up to the standards of tomorrow.

  • She knocks spots off all others including Judy Garland.

  • She had her own acting style. One of the best actresses I ever seen. We will probably never find another one like this. Thanks for the vid

  • we lost a star when betty died......heaven gained one of the brightest..she will not be forgotten....

  • what film is this? i LOVE that number!!!

  • A little known 1940s musical called The Perils of Pauline. I must've viewed it over ten times on dvd. It's pretty underrated.
