It's my personal opinion that homosexuality is nature's birth control. It's happening in the animal kiingdom where the land or water will no longer support large population. humans are no all that far ahead of our relatives in the wild but have turned sex into intertainment as the need to populate is no longer as urgent or there as it was when the average family lost over half of it's children to disease/sickness.

Growing up in a conservative church, our pastor taught that homosexuality was a rebellion from God.
Since then, I have met so many devout, fine gay Christians that I know better now.
But lots of Christians still do not understand that many of their fellow church members are quietly gay or in the closet. (half of all church organists, it seems!)
Chely Wright has done us Christians a good service by coming out.

I never really had a "coming out" moment. My mother and I had just got back from a dat of shopping. We both sat down and out of nowhere she looked right at me and said, "you're gay arent you". I said, "yes I am". She hugged me and told me that I have her full support and the her love for me knows no bounds. Then we of course cried. My mother to this day is my best friend. My parents are wonderful, caring, loving, individuals. I would NOT trade them for all the money in the world.

I met Chely this past weekend. I can honestly say she is the most amazing and inspirational person I've met. Her life story is so powerful. She's so genuinely kind. Most people these days, famous or not, pretend to be something they're not and pretend to be nice. You can tell with her that she is really loving, sweet and simply amazing. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to meet such an amazing person.

I am a huge fan of Chely but it was she who made a deal of her sexuality.Last I checked others haven'tt issued press releases or doing interviews saying, Hey! I'm straight! Accept yourself & don't expect everyone to accept you If you say you are open-minded and accepting then be consistent. Think Gahndi not Gaga.

Growing up in a conservative church, our pastor taught that homosexuality was a rebellion from God.
Since then, I have met so many devout, fine gay Christians that I know better now.
But lots of Christians still do not understand that many of their fellow church members are quietly gay or in the closet. (half of all church organists, it seems!)
Chely Wright has done us Christians a good service by coming out.
(BTW I still love the Lord. Totally straight. No longer a fundamentalist.)

I never really had a "coming out" moment. My mother and I had just got back from a dat of shopping. We both sat down and out of nowhere she looked right at me and said, "you're gay arent you". I said, "yes I am". She hugged me and told me that I have her full support and the her love for me knows no bounds. Then we of course cried. My mother to this day is my best friend. My parents are wonderful, caring, loving, individuals. I would NOT trade them for all the money in the world.

I met Chely this past weekend. I can honestly say she is the most amazing and inspirational person I've met. Her life story is so powerful. She's so genuinely kind. Most people these days, famous or not, pretend to be something they're not and pretend to be nice. You can tell with her that she is really loving, sweet and simply amazing. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to meet such an amazing person.
