it was how i got it. at first trial the key didn't got into the switch and when i wanted to just hot-wire it i found out there are no wires at all to the key switch. so... basicly the orange switch is ignition and the push button is for start :)
no idea. not very secure idea for cabrio anyway :) could be broken switch and previous owner didn't had spare one? still way too much work rather than finding a working switch :)

no doubt, besides you can get a new ignition sw. for like 5 bucks through j bugs. Same day shipping, and then just plug it in an go.
