  • what type of string are those???

  • @crazybob1306 the strings are D'Addario normal tension, so about as bog standard as it gets and certainly not pretending to be historical. Simon tried some Nylgut but was put off by the settling-in time.

  • @JacarandaMusic I noticed they were not nylon strings..I don't like using nylon cause I feel like I am cheating and the sound is different but I can never figure out what type of strings or gauge to get.The playing is Great BTW..I have been mostly rock and roll Pentatonics but I always try to play Flamenco..

  • @crazybob1306 er well they definitely are nylon strings, the trebles, and wire wound on nylon basses. Its one of those things you could do a blind test and many people wouldn't notice the difference between nylon, gut and gut-imtators like Nylgut. I didn't choose the strings, the maker did. Main thing is use what helps you play best, which for most folks is normal tension standard classical strings...

  • she´s a beauty ...

  • Honestly, I know music is more or less subjective, but this is what players should strive for. Wonderful tone and control over the piece. This is such a superb performance, I can't get over your wonderful tone production, it's just that great.

  • @Ironst4r that's extremely good of you, appreciation like that makes all the hard work worthwhile!
