  • i came for 0:10

  • i got the rare pc version of this game :]

  • @CrAzY3AGL3 is it rare? how valuable is it?

  • @NITROLANCER1 well pc version was released in small amount of numbers and it dint get the commercial and it sometimes came only with a pc i say if its mint condition $50 and if sealed well $70

  • Seth Rogin stole your voice and made millions!!

  • Looks like this gamer...

    *Sunglasses*

    ...got a game over.

    YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

  • They've got this game at my used game store, tempted to get a Dreamcast for it...

  • Alright already, quit rubbing Philips 21:9 in my face there's still not a chance in hell I'm gonna afford one.

  • why doesn't my game say game over YEAHHHH? it just writes game over and that's it

  • GAME OVER YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • I hope Dreamcast returns like CGR did.

  • this is more street racing than rally racing

  • I have this game and I really like it. I think that graphics hold up pretty well, and it plays beautifully on the dreamcast.

  • Dreamcast = Flawless victory + A fatality

  • @Turtlewax851 Using emulator disks on it is like adding a TOASTY! to it.

  • Boooooo for dissing the music! Searchin' For My Dreams is an amazing track (despite the fact that you cannot understand the female vocalist's terrible Engrish). There's something to be said about that turn-of-the-century Japanese game production era where even racing games required studio musicians to record jazz flute solos!

  • I want "Game Over, YEAAHHHH!" as my ringtone.

  • nice goodfellas reference

  • Holy shit that guy looks EXACTLY like I thought he would!

  • You got this review soooo wrong ,music like segarally on sega saturn is amazing and one of the things that drive you in this game. The frame rate is NOT constant 60fps or 30fps ,even with the cheats to remove backgrounds the game runs very poor on the dreamcast.

The PC version is the one of choice until the arcade board is emulated fully and sega rally 2 is an amazing game 9/10 (sega rally saturn 10/10)

  • 4:26 for GAME OVER YEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

  • 15 people have been designing the music to this game! :D

  • game over NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

  • Game over yeah transition... XD

  • f*** you YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

  • the bungalowpark i visit every year has a sega rally arcade machine. but it was broken so you could play 6 times with half a dollar

  • HHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEY REVO EMAG!

  • the game over yeah should be a new meme

  • "look at those graphics" " yeah those are graphics"

  • the graphics are- GAME OVER YEAAAAAAAA

  • To think you'd forget the name of the Puro Puro Pack when you said it was a awesome name...

  • i just bought a used copy of this game for dirt cheap: $0.88+$3.99 shipping! Disc only though.

  • the dreamcast version look 10 times worse than the arcade version..... because it's a port of the windows version......... and the windows version had very crappy graphics.

  • OMG BOOKS! CAN THEY EVEN READ?

  • see the difference of graphics in the past 11 years. i wonder how racing game would look like in the next 10 years.

  • GAME OVAR YAH!

  • LOL, waiting for GT2, but the Dreamcast was the next gen console over PS1. So, Dreamcast was way ahead of Sony at that time. The Dreamcast games were PS1 games in transition to PS2. But Sony had it head on when the PS2 was released!!

  • If I can recall correctly.. there was a game for the dreamcast running at an incredible 60fps I forget Wich racing game it was though...can anybody help me out on this one???

  • @7890628 Daytona USA was one of them. It still looks awesome.

  • Thanx man!!! Hey, I always wondered how come dreamcast seems to be the only home console to produce games at 60fps? Aren't these next gen consoles more powerful? Wtf? @DieselDiaz

  • @7890628 F355 Ferrari?

  • Sega Rally Championship>>>>>Gran Turismo 5

  • @stadusunids i hope you're joking or being sarcastic

  • 145 mph, what the fuck?

  • 1:25 teehee

  • Mark, please reuewe "V-Rally '99"

    for the Nintendo64!

  • dude the dreamcast and the 64 is the best consoles the most funny but the dream take my heart jejejeje love the dream

  • sega rally 2 is the best arcade games of sega

  • love people that constantly say erm throughtout there reviews... erm, erm, Its awesome

  • a great game, but in no way is it a constant 60fps. You can lock it at 30fps by disabling some effects, and at 60fps by removing all other cars, weathers, etc. You can do these through codes. It's just a poor port of the Windows PC version using Windows CE. Still a great game though!

  • just like the arcaDE version when i bought this game

    great game and so underrated

  • Ahh SEGA how I miss thee.

  • I think the helicopters are filming the replays.

  • the graphiccs are amazing for 1999.

  • Game over YeAAAAAAAAHHHH....I know, it's redundant...But it rocks!

  • I guess you don't have to be good at a game to review it.

  • @ddrhero ooooOOOOooooo!

  • GAYME OVA YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH !!!!!

  • Rumble Pack

  • Looks sweet maby ill pick my self up one of thoes

  • All the best games ever were on Ps1

-Tekken 3,Metal Gear Solid 1, Tenchu Stealth Assasins, Eagle 1, Duke nuken time to kll,Dino Crisis 1 there are so many of them, all of them great games

Ps2 and Ps3 games are just great but not as exciting as the very first games...

  • It seems like your car just keeps sliding even when it shouldn't, which is a shame. Definitely doesn't feel right

  • GAIM OVA YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • This is what the video game system generations are in my head.

(Sega Saturn) (Playstation 1) (Nintendo 64) = [First CD Generation]

(Sega Dreamcast) = [Second CD Generation]

(Gamecube) (Playstation 2) (Xbox) = [First DVD Generation]

If the Dreamcast had DVD support then the Dreamcast would have survived.

  • It's a sad thing to say, but this SR2 was a huge pile of shit. It was vastly inferior to the Sega Saturn SR1 in terms of gameplay. Only thing on par was the "Game Over Yeaaaahhh" jingle.

I bought it on day one, and returned it the following day.

  • Hey Mark! why dont you recrute James Rolfe, you know, the AVGN

the show would totally KICK MAYOR ASS man.

your both funny as hell, think about it.

  • still 1 of my favorite games

  • The graphics in this game are great bec-- GAME OVER YEAAAAAHHHHHHH-- it's got 2 playe--EAAAAAHHHH-- the music sucks but that's se--GAME OVER YEAAAAAAAAAHHHHH....

  • This is the second of the most funniest episodes of CGR!!

The funniest was SEAMAN for Dreamcast xD

  • I think it's very easy to say that the Dreamcast could do much better games, because there is no way to proof it. Maybe it would have been so, but how can you know?

I think that the DC can show better graphics than it did, but the question his how far it can go.

  • This is the first video i've seen where you reviewed something with the guy from your old channel! Wow!

  • "Ah lahk bein' taped to da bumper!"

  • Yeah, what did happen to Dave in Classic Game Room HD?

  • Lucky you in NTSC regions. Over here, Sega Rally 2 had no 60hz option so we get a really laggy and bad framerate.

  • @topsyandpip56 to get 60fps on the PAL versions, on title screen press UP, A, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, B, B, DOWN, A (a sound means its worked)

  • Tremmer or Tremmor Pack (vibration pack for Dreamcast)

  • no mournful game over tune in this game....

    you get GAME OVER YEEEAAAAAAHHH!!

    lol

  • This game was legit. This still blows me away today.

  • Game Over YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! :D

  • @AceySucks6606 YEAH!!!!!!!!!

  • @AceySucks6606 hehe a lot of my game pads would have been saved from being thrown up the wall if every game over screen praised you like this one does :D

  • @AceySucks6606 god that was awesome! game over yeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhHHH!

  • The one the you choose to complain about is the music...?

  • thats were the one gi joe dub came from lmao GAME OVER YEAA

  • what happened to dave in classic game room HD?

  • 5* for random Game Over yeahhhh!!!

  • Do any games have snow these days!?

  • Sega Rally, perhaps. Lost planet?

  • Im going to shout that once i finish having sex to my girl, lmfao how funny would that be :) Fuck, the graphics o.O !!!!! Wow

  • this is sega saturn omg!!!

when i see that i think that was for ps1

    i have the 1995 version

and the diference of the graphics is big

  • where did that second guy go in the new classic game room?

  • Game over...uh.....NOOOOOOO!

    rOFL

    good 1

  • The hellicopter reminds me of Ridge Racer 64

  • This still looks excellent

  • re: random chopper overhead -- "We feel like Ray Liotta when the cops are following him in Goodfellas."

    Nice one.

  • This game still holds up graphically.Really doesn't feel like a game from 1999.

  • most games for DC didn't feel like when it was made thats why they say it was so ahead of your time

  • the slow mo "game over yeah" was freaking epic. thats something you'd hear for when the world ends lol

  • damn good

  • Love the "Game over yeahhhhhhhhh.....!!!!!"!!! love it so much that i sampled it and use it at the end my DJ sets!

  • the hilis in real life will have a camra on them

  • I miss the way Sega make games... :(

  • Good ol' Dreamcast... *tear*

  • !!!!haaaaaaeeey revo emag lol that backwards was funny

  • translated to the home very well? i dont think so

  • How did they got that great framerate? With full details?

  • SEGA is the answer!

  • Dreamcast graphics should have been MUCH BETTER than ps2 but sadly they never had time to Evolve!

  • They always were better, just the ps2 devs had more time to squeeze every ounce of power out of the ps2, if the dreamcast was still herem, chances are we would have games looking similar to early 7th gen games.

  • meh prolly level out to be about the same

  • @sonicgamer2 That's a complete misconception. On paper and in the real world, the PS2 was much more powerful. Having said that I just ordered a Dreamcast with Sega Rally 2 and Fur Fighters. Can't wait.

  • @fatsgt ..Not really, the only thing ps2 had over the dreamcast was a slightly larger polygon count and a faster processor but, the dreamcast had thing that the ps2 could never do like anti asailing and texture compression. The dreamast uses a powerVR graphics board and no game in its 2 year lifspan ever used its full capabilities. So yes on paper the ps2 seems better but, in actuality its not.

  • @santiago262 No offence, but that's a typical fanboy response. IF the Dreamcast was around long enough it could do better! No, it couldn't. Shenmue was probably the extent of it. I don't know why people can't accept this and understand that in no way could the Dreamcast's PowerVR2 CLX2 chipset produce anything close to Gran Turismo 4. When developers became used to the PS2 hardware, they were able to produce FSAA. Compression was used to compensate for 1.2GB GD-ROMS, PS2 could use 8.5GB DVD's.

  • @fatsgt im a dreamcast fan boy and i agree , the ps2 could handle far more polygons at one time on screen not to mention it was clocked slightly higher.

  • @sonicgamer2

Dreamcast graphics ARE better than the PS2.

  • @Terramax yeah,right,keep telling yourself that....

  • @VICIUS2

I've played enough from both consoles.

  • @sonicgamer2 in allot of ways they were better...

  • @sonicgamer2 dc graphics have ALYAYS dominated ps2's

    1. dc=60fps/ ps2=30fps

    2. dreamcast is more clear with anti-aliasing, bloom, etc. with ps2 having none of that

  • @sonicgamer2

To be honest most people say that about most consoles.

The graphics on most consoles only improve slightly over a 5 year period.

I feel 3/4 years gave us a damn good experience on the dreamcast.

Another year would have given the edge sure; but don't act like it was some "super computer that was never seen".

  • @ExtremeBogom Hell, the Dreamcast's hardware wasn't even cutting-edge in 1999. It was pretty damn good though, but 2 years later would see the release of the Gamecube and Xbox, and those at much better visual capabilities, even over the PS2. Look at games like Far Cry and Conker on the Xbox and you'll see the major leap in graphics.

Even so, the Dreamcast kicked ass. Not gonna deny that.

  • @thatsistheguy -Perhaps you hould compare only games that were available for Dreamcast when it was still alive, when comparing to other consoles... -It takes 5 full years to use all the power of the games console...

  • @sonicgamer2 The biggest reason the Dreamcast failed was due to poor timing. Sega advertised that the system was much more powerful than the N64, Playstation or even their own Sega Saturn. This was an obvious fact. However, it was 1999 and the PS2 and Gamecube weren't far from being released. The Dreamcast didn't have the time to evolve and become popular because of the extreme hype surrounding the PS2 and the fact that it and the Gamecube were arriving so soon.

  • what are you talking about the reason the dreamcast failed was because everyone was getting chipped ps1s & the games were 4 sale everywhere 3 for £10 so people were all stuck on playstation so when the ps 2 came out it was the next step to them plus it had dvd an expensive house hold appliance at the time but built in for only a few more pounds

if the saturn was chipped and there were games available like that then people would of baught them and followed to dreamcast same with r4 ds killing psp

  • @sonicgamer2 if you play sega gamess for the graphics, you're doing it wrong.

  • @sonicgamer2 A good library is the only thing that matters.

  • @sonicgamer2 No way was the DC more powerful than the PS2, it was good for sure but it lacked the raw grunt of the PS2. PS2 was a mutli core machine, much like PCs are now. I would love to see the DC do games like God of War, Final Fantasy 12 and all that. Would never happen.

  • @volkte37 probably gow it can do check out jet set radios graphics or sonic adventure

  • @sonicadx Neither of which are even close to God of War. Both run at sub 30fps with popup and slowdown. Still nice looking games mind but it will not have the power to run such a high spec game as GoW.

  • @volkte37 gow i have and dreamcast i have they both look pretty good

  • @volkte37 i mean gow i a standard tv looks like sonic adventure jagged edges hold it back but without them it still looks kinda like SA

  • @volkte37 I always think it's funny to hear this considering back in 2001, no one thought PS2 would be able to run something like GoW either.

  • @DietSoap3 Indeed that is a good point. Looking back though, the DC wouldn't have the raw grunt to do it.

  • @volkte37 If you nix the giant bosses, I think it could, and even better with it's larger textures and full screen anti aliasing on a hardware level... And even in the case of the gigantic bosses (which truly are incredibly), you could just tone down their poly count as was already common practice with PC/Xbox/GC ports to PS2 (although in some cases PS2 could pump out more polys than the GCN).

  • @DietSoap3 Oh course it could do a version. But FSAA is a myth, it would slow the frame rate to a halt. FSAA is used on hardly any last gen titles, the 640-480 resolution the DC used hid the jaggies well. Also despite nicer textures, it would have to be cut a lot in terms of polys and would not be able to stream the game with no load times, PS2 could move data at a frightening rate. Do a search for last gen games that used Anti Aliasing. Shocking to see how few actually do.

  • @volkte37 Alot of my DC games run at 30 and many even 60 fps with full screen anti aliasing, so I'm not sure why you say that. And sure, but that applies to any game on any system, it's all relative. But yeah, it would have to load more often no doubt, but I've never seen the big deal w/ a couple loading screens anyways.

  • @DietSoap3 Your DC games do not run with FSAA, the machine simply outputs almost all of its games at 640-480 which helps to eliminate jaggies. The PS2 ofter renders in 640-224 interlaced to give a 640-448 which is what gives you jaggies. Aliasing is not the issue. There are also other ways to soften an image. Tekken 5 is running at 640-480 with almost no jaggies, plus there is a smoothing option in the menu to eliminate it more. Check it out. The DC renders in the same way.

  • @volkte37 I don't really know what your talking about tbh, but either way I guess the point is every publication outlet I've read from claim the DC has/had full screen anti aliasing, and either way when I play something like Alien Front Online, it sure as hell looks like it does.

  • @DietSoap3 Those publications are incorrect then. Not that it matters really, a lot of DC games do look lovely and smooth and the PS2 does often look less smooth. Currently playing Virtua Fighter Evo on PS2 and another game with no jaggies at all. In fact VF4 had loads of jaggies, Sega sorted it though for Evo. It can easily be done on PS2.

  • @volkte37

Actually you are wrong, the Dreamcast's PowerVR2 CLX2 chipset does indeed support FSAA in hardware, also Dreamcast's port of Omikron: The Nomad Soul utilized 2x supersampling. PS2 could only do FSAA in software, hence why FSAA on PS2 caused severe framerate issues and was not utilized in many games. Games that did utilize FSAA on PS2 usually used the Edge Anti-Aliasing method (also used on most N64 games) because it didn't have as big of a tax on the CPU.

  • @Chaniyth Not wrong as I never said the DC can't do FSAA. It can like you said as it is included but it still is rarely used. In fact FSAA is not used too often even today with the HD consoles. Go and look at Fifa 11 and Need for Speed to see the shocking amount of jaggies in those games. Higher resolutions on DC games go a long way to hide jaggies. as does a flicker filter. Some games do use it, not many though. Rogue Leader on the GCN used FSAA too. Again not many others did.

  • @volkte37 The most a Console will use FSAA is about x1, any more and the framerate would drop too much.

  • @sonicgamer2 No it wasn't, SEGA said that's 1 of the reason Dreamcast failed agains the PS2. (Xbox was the most powerful consoles)

  • My Copy Broke Im Gettin a new on soon

  • omg this has ps2 like graphics!!

  • that game aint got nuthin on ken block

  • GAME OVER YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!... Sorry I couldnt resist =D

  • That has to be the most ecstatic game over screen I've ever seen :)

  • "You lost! WAY to go!"

  • I remember that at the time it had who compared Dreamcast and PS1 in graphs but looking at this video Is certain that this game is not of PS3?

  • this makes me wanna get a sega again

  • Anything with Dreamcast is good

  • Man, playing the SEGA Rally games, you feel excited even when you've lost!

  • Sega Rally 2 is a piece of shit, the good one is the first (both arcade and Saturn). The 2007 Sega Rally for Xbox 360 and PS3 is good, too.

  • Didn't expect that kind of graphics from a 9 year old console.

  • All you idiots arguing with the review. This was back when the Dreamcast first came out, this review isn't knew. At the time of this review, this was probably one of the best looking games on the Dreamcast. You people need to chill out about small things. Anyway long live Dreamcast!

  • You dumbass this is a CLASSIC VIDEO GAME review it wasn't made at the time when this game was released.

  • Uh yea it was. Look in the description. "Classic Game Room season 1. December 14, 1999"

  • these were my fave consoles back then

    1. Dreamcast

    2. Xbox

    3. Ps2

    4.gameCube

    5, N64

  • Anyone who puts the PS2 in front of the Gamecube really, seriously, needs to see their doctor.

    Uber lose.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, that's true.

  • Fan boy much? BTW... NO... Fucking... SHIT! PS2 has been an active console for about 7 years... so no shit it has more games you unintelligent ass....

  • Back then?

You mean like 3 and a half years ago?

  • more like 10 years ago idiot

  • Those consoles were all in the last generation of gaming which basically ended in early of 06'.

I believe its the 6 generation?

    I forget.

  • "Constantly 60 frames per second." No.

  • Yeah when it started it was and other cars appeared and it slowed to 30. This geeky fact ruined my life.

  • LOL game over yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • Dreamcast > PS2

    'nough said!

  • haha not really

  • do u have to play the 10 year mode to unlock the new cars?

  • GAME OVER YEEEEAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

  • lmao

  • 60 frames per second????

Was the American version different from the european, cuz over here it ran across 30-60 frames per second, and it had alot of slowdown....

  • this ran on PC.....the dreamcast version ran on the windows Ce crap that made it stutter : (
