  • She put the Great back in Great Britain - subsequent premiers took it back out!

  • Lovely to hear Rule Britannia while she was speaking :D

  • @TehNoobWhoPlaysHalo I know i thought the same thing

  • SHE IS A HUGEEE SLUTTT omg !!! ..cheers from argentina ! ..btw i want to see the cooming soon movie of this good woman for some and bad to others..meryl streep !!!!! INCREDIBLE ACTRESS

  • Probably the strongest leader since Churchill (though no where near as popular). The guy we have now is a pussy, I'd rather have her back :/

  • It was the Conservatives and Ted Heath who betrayed the UK and joined the EU.

  • @EddieExile It was Labour who wasted 600billion £ of tax payers money, gave away our gold reserves, flooded the country with unwanted non-EU immigration, actually I think I will stop there before I am physically sick because I could go on all day but it would just depress me thinking about how much labour destroyed this one proud land of hope and glory.

What you going to blame maggie for? Taking away the milk from schools? Jog on ya muppet

  • @ProbablyCoolerThanU

Your rant is accurate but not cool - and I don't support labour at all you moron.

But the tories did betray the UK by joining the EU.

And the tories started mass 3rd world immigration into the UK in the 50s - and dismissed Powell's accurate warning of the consequences and sacked him.

And the tories sold off the family silver to foreign ownership and based the UK economy solely around the corrupt financial sector.

Labour disastrous - tories not much better

  • @EddieExile Hear the army of proud men in the background bless the streets of London with patriotism, singing musical notes of tradition, celebrating victory.

When did you hear such a thing with labour around?

When did you last hear a crowd of people sing a patriotic song, or their British national anthem like it was their god given right to do so under the nose of labour? NEVER

Labour almost made it illegal to fly your own flag.

A tory will refer to our nation with pride, labour won't.

  • @ProbablyCoolerThanU

The crowds were celebrating the achievements of the British armed forces - not the tories.

Cameron is no better than Blair.

  • '' Everyone together '' LOLZ COMMIE COMMIE

  • Go to hell where is your friend Pinochet!

  • support self-determination rights of 3000+ chaggosians brutally expelled by britain in the 70s

  • vieja loca

  • Why do we need these islands? Surely the Argentinians are entitled to them; given that they are just off their coastline.

  • @jushayward What has how close they got to do with it???? Such an argument has no legal basis.....None. For instance the Pharoah islands are nearer to the UK but are not ours.France is just 35 kms from the UK whilst the Falklands are over 400 kms from Argentina. So your argument has no basis at all....Funnily neither has the Argentine claim.

  • @bannon1000 -'No legal.....None.'- basis you say. However, does this not depend on whose law you are siding with? What about moral reasons?

  • @jushayward Argentina behaved immorally it seized a peoples, changed their way of life, changed the name of their homeland, denied their identity & used shops and freezers as toilets. It placed children under house arrest and refused to comply with International law, refused 10 peace plans and defied a mandatory Resolution of the Security Council, so it was Argentina that behaved immorally. It tortured ITS OWN TROOPS & TODAY is on trial for stealing 500 babies from their mothers, that is IMMORAL.

  • @jushayward Surley France is entitled to England given that they are just off their coastline.

oops looks like the EU beat France to it.

  • @MrGilles1990 Ha- Yes that's a good point.

  • The Falkland Islands are British Colonialism Argentinas Stop the islands are Argentine

  • @tamoargentina Hey, you really should come to terms that our lady PM had bigger bollocks than any Argentine man at that time...................ie she ensured that war mongering bastard Galtieri had his fucking arse kicked.........now fuck off & stop bitching because it makes no difference, you'll never get your hands on the FALKLAND ISLANDS!

  • @markyboy1704 .............we will come back as in 1982 and this we will see island and alos violating military wing British invaders are going to shit dead

  • @tamoargentina Yeh, your like a bad case of diarrhoea. You keep dreaming & drooling shithead because you know as well as we do, you'll never get your hands on OUR FALKLAND ISLANDS.......

  • @markyboy1704 INGLESES HIJOS DE PUTAS MAL PARIDOS

  • @tamoargentina yes i have translated it................now you go away with the vision of the great Mrs T, with a huge strap on dildo & you and your Argentine commrades bending over while she stands behind, strap on in hand ready to fuck you up the arse again.

  • @markyboy1704 maradona and children raped whores usd British Falklands are Argentine simpre they were outside British colonialism queers fucking cowards

  • @tamoargentina there you go, you just said it yourself..............."British Falklands".......see it's easy when you accept what is right......

  • @markyboy1704 the Falkland Islands are a colony of Britain are the real owners of the islands is my country, Argentina

  • @tamoargentina your country is a shit 3rd world peace of shit.

  • @tamoargentina I think the inhabitants of the Falklands would beg to differ. You were the aggressors in this conflict, and she gave you the beating you deserved. The hound Galtieri carried out a cowardly surprise attack to divert attention from the country's failing economy and try to boost his own popularity. Well, we know what happened next, you had it coming.

  • @tamoargentina you guys tried that in 82, you lost, because your a weak shit 3rd world country, lol,

  • @territt16 your country is shit along with the us are always killing people and invading foreign territories and in Iraq thieves

  • @tamoargentina I don't think the (my) country is 'shit'. However you may be right about certain things. I would love to see the Falklands returned to Argentina. Why not?

  • tee hee maggie gonna whoop yo ass

  • If the UK had lost the war, God knows what South American countries would have tried to do next.

  • @ttiiyy Exactly Maggie said "If we do not act no small country could ever feel safe".....She said " If we fail, people will see naked aggression triumph over the rule of law and democracy"....So yes thank god we won.......

  • @ttiiyy WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! YOU SOUND LIKE GEORGE BUSH! THE MALVINAS (FALKLAND ISLANDS) BELONG TO ARGENTINA GEOGRAPHICALLY, HISTORICALLY AND MORALLY SO YOU MEAN STEALING FROM OTHER IS RIGHT? GREETINGS FROM CANADA

  • @CULTURALTRAVELS The irony here is that you're from a country called Canada, which, by the way, is a mistake based on your logic. The entire "country" was stolen from the natives living there.

You also need to remember that most people in Argentina have ancestors from Spain. These people stole the land from the natives as well.

Now you see how trick this is LMAO

  • Socialist... all they can do is call Maggie a cunt when you mention what she did for Great Britain. We can systematically dismantle socialism in an argument in real terms. The reason why the socialist hiss their bitter venom at Maggie is because she eradicated socialism in Britain as they knew it. They can't stand her for that... all I have to say to you 'socialists' is when Maggie dies, piss on her grave, have a little party too but always remember SHE PISSED ON YOUR BONFIRE A LONG TIME AGO!!!

  • @PadrethePio

Do people really call her "cunt"? I thought that the word ranked No.1 in English swear words therefore rarely used.

Pardon me if I am mistaken. I am only a humble, poorly educated Japanese.

  • @tnakai1971jp マラドナ=神様。

  • @PadrethePio What you think britain is like today? A messy multicultural religious bowl full of puke. Socialism is the best system...

  • @Hermoor Or not. Socialism destroyed Portugal. And if you look at it, it keeps destroying Greece and Spain. What Socialism touches, it corrupts. As simple as that.

  • @AvatarMarxon90 Well I think socialism combined with religion and ignorance/stupidity isn't a good combination. But look at sweden and norway, non religious secular countries. Socialism works only if a country has developed a good socialistic basis. Like good education and culture. Many countries are very ignorant, some still believe in angels and flying horses.

  • @Hermoor Really? A religious society is the explanation why socialism failed in the examples I presented to you? Really? You can't think of anything better to say? Because let's see: communist regimes exterminated everything to do with religion. Oh, but why do their countries are the cesspits of civilization? HArd to answer now? For God's sake, ignorance gets you nowhere.

  • @Hermoor And let me tell you: Sweden, Norway and Denmark are great countries because of their way of thinking. You can tell me whatever you want - that there's no cultural "points" in each country's people, that there are no common national values, whatever. The truth is that they still exist. And the people from the northern countries have been far more advanced than those of the south, not because of socialism, but because of the way they react to several events.

  • @AvatarMarxon90 In socialism everyone are cared for, the disabled the sick. Everyone got decent living standards. Unlike in other systems where the ones who are from a poor background or for some reason can't work, maybe they are sick etc are being taken advantage of. There are very few homeless people in sweden compared to other countries like the UK for example. Everyone are being cared for!

  • @Hermoor Well... in the past right-wing Portuguese governments, we had a better social security system, than we had during the socialist government that lost the election (thank God) 2 or 3 weeks ago. And honestly, the Catholic Church (in my country) does more for the poor, than the governments do - both socialists and social-democrats.

  • @AvatarMarxon90 the catolic church also condems condoms and rapes little boys. Maybe that is why you people down there are so poor. You breed too much? Warmer climate encourages sex, without condoms lots of babies. Lots of babies combined with religion and...ignorance means more poor people. More crime and more starvation etc. The church has done more bad to the world than you can imagine..90% of all people in sweden are atheists. Don't defend your church ;) That is like defending your ignorance

  • @Hermoor You're crazy or what? Just because some priests raped some boys, it means the whole Catholic Church does it? It's like saying: Nazis were from Germany, so all Germans were Nazi. Nothing more wrong and stupid to say.

And just so you know, the problem of Portugal is that we don't conceive. Portugal is one of the "oldest" countries in Europe - and oldest, I mean in terms of population. According to some studies, population in Portugal will decrease because of that negative impact.

  • @Hermoor So your anti-Church theory is a bunch of bullocks. We don't starve, we don't have a high criminality. Are you even speaking seriously with me?

  • @Hermoor You don't know absolutely nothing of what we are talking about. Honestly, you just use whatever arguments you can to attack right-wing/ center right-wing policies and religion. And that sir, makes you dumb. Very dumb.

  • @AvatarMarxon90 Wrong, the reason nordic countries are advanced is because they found oil in the sea and their are just a few inhabitants...that means a lot of economic resorses for a few people... Norway is just 4 million people and Sweden 8 million.... you can´t compare those countries with another ones...

And their way of thinking is not better than another societies, nordics are the most racist countries ever... so theiir way of thinking is also retarded...

  • @DelSolNacido Yes, but the Dutch are also kind of racist for what I've heard. And so are the Spanish in some ways (against Africans, especially). Obviously it is backwards to think there is a "pure race" or "better race".

And yes, the way of thinking of one people does change the course of its history. And we could compare a Portuguese/ Spanish with a Danish/ Swedish. Or even a British with a German. There are fundamental differences, my friend.

  • @DelSolNacido And the way of thinking will obviously affect the way they develop their natural resources, thus developing their economies. For example, Portuguese discovered huge oil reservoirs in Angola (prior to their independence) - what did the Portuguese do? Ignore it. Portuguese have the biggest sea exclusive zone of Europe, and one of the largest in the world. Do we explore its natural resources? No. We import everything from abroad. That is a way of thinking my friend.

  • @AvatarMarxon90 Well if Portugal found oil in Angola, that´s not a portuguese resourse at all, that oil belongs to natives from Angola... Why do you say Portugal have one of the largest sea exclusive zones of the world? It´s a tiny country...

I think europeans should keep their arses in its continent instead of invade, steal and throw bombs over other territories, now europeans complain about immigrants, but that´s the result of 500 years of imperialism and colonialism in other continents...

  • @DelSolNacido Wrong. Angola was Portugal until 1974. You can even go study the Portuguese Constitution: Angola, Mozambique, Macao (China), East Timor, Cape Verde, S. Tomé and Principe, Guinea-Bissao, Diu and Daman and Goa (Portuguese India), along with Madeira, Azores and Continental Portugal were Portuguese territories. Basically, there was a plan to make a "United States of Portugal" which failed, because of Communist/ American pressure.

  • @DelSolNacido It is quite astonishing that Portugal has the 20th largest Exclusive Economic Zone in the world. And remember that Portugal is not a tiny country. Monaco, Vatican, Liechtenstein or even Luxembourg ARE tiny countries.

About immigrants, that is true - obviously it is the result of imperialism and colonialism. But if you keep pressing Europe with illegal immigrants, it will only result in chaos and social convulsions. People have to integrate their new countries.

  • @DelSolNacido Going back to the Portuguese colonial system - you have to go back, not with the "eyes of today", to understand what was the way of thinking of those times. That's why there was this phrase in Portugal: "Portugal goes from Minho (northern Portuguese region) to Timor". This line of thought took my country to 11 years of a brutal Vietnam-like war (read about the Portuguese Colonial War from 1961 up to the 70's).

  • @PadrethePio Well said.

  • @PadrethePio

    :DDDDDDDDDDD

  • Bring down coalition government, it had been disaster. Arshad Khan will help to get you re-elected with working majority. click Justice party UK.

  • I'm an American

But what are they singing in the Back drop?

  • @JPSwissCheese

Why, that would be Rule Britannia!

  • @JPSwissCheese they are singing rule britaina britannia rules the waves england shall not be slaves

  • vieja hija de puta ingleses son la mierda del planeta y sus hijos tambien

  • a woman trying to be a man in a mans world. she was a cocky old bitch who, like all these politicians forget who they work for - the British people

  • @sweetypie000

Just like Blair and Brown then eh!

  • @theblackmafia71

Brown was one of the greatest prime ministers we've had in a long time. He brought us out of the recession America put us into, and people say he's an asshole for calling that hag a bigot. Nothing but a load of pompous bullshit - She WAS a bigot and he was well within his rights to call her so!

  • @ShadowRSonic

Have you been on the fuckin crack pipe again Trot ?! ha ha ! Brown was the greatest PM

    fuck off you prat!

  • @ShadowRSonic What the fuck are you talking about? Brown was this countries worst Chancellor in history and then presided (unelected) over a government that continued to borrow money despite record tax revenues. That government continued year in - year out - to constantly spend more than was being generated leading to the creation of the greatest structural deficit in this countries history - which is why we find ourselves where we are today!

  • @ShadowRSonic "America caused the recession" , "Brown the greatest Prime Minister". Fucking hell the stupidity of some people really has no bounds - must be another internet crack head on a wind up.

  • @Buggsy61

Not really, my good man. I'm intelligent, and I do my research. AMERICA put us into the recession. and BROWN brought us out of it.

  • @ShadowRSonic I find that unbelievable. Brown created the biggest deficit we have had in our history and has in effect mortgaged the future of 3 generations and wait to see what effect PFI has. The banking crisis which even he admits he should have done something more to prevent with his bungling at the FSA was only part of the deficit as he had been taxing and spending with impunity well before. To blame USA is ridiculous - the man was an unelected disaster.

  • @Buggsy61

I think some of the central banks should reconsider giving easy credit to investment banks. I am personally against regulating investment bankers' remunerations, as I firmly believe in minimum intervention by government, but every government has the obligation to tax as little as possible, therefore spend as little of tax payers money as possible.

With no easy credit, investment banks will go to investors, as they should as private enterprises, then curtail their risk portfolios.

  • @Buggsy61 You do realise that the banking crisis started in the USA? So it's quite fair to blame them...

  • @ShadowRSonic Think you should do some homework.

Brown inherited an economy that had been in growth since 1992. He managed to sell gold at a 20 year low between $220-$300 p/ounce, it's now approx $1440 p/ounce (400 tonnes), you do the maths.

He scrapped dividend credit on pensions in 1997.

However, you comment about the recession, between 1997 & 2006 Brown removed 9 regulatory bodies from the financial sector & bought in the inadaquate FSA. He also endorsed "light fingered regulation"

  • bleedin ek wheres the Falklands lol Cant believe people wanted this again!.

  • Love the chants of rule brittainia echoing through the streets of London, must of been like that when we ruled the world haha

  • @JBrads91 if they knew then what we knew now lol. probably a record playing

  • There is amnesty to those who committed terrorism before good Friday agreement.

  • Maggie rule! ugly argi woman not maggie!!!! jajajjajajjjjajjja!!!!!!!!

  • I heard this bitch is sick... I hope she dies from a horrible death and goes to the hell!

  • Comment removed

  • So Thatcher.....the war is over....now go and wash the blood of the young men you sent to fight your war off your hands

  • @alunhughes147 AS I SAID IF YOU WERE LEFT TO MAKE THE DECISIONS, THE BELGRANO WOULD HAVE COMPLETED ITS PINCER MOVEMENT AND WE WOULD HAVE LOST ONE OF OUR SHIPS WITH THE BLOOD OF OUR BOYS ON YOUR HANDS YES OR NO? THANK GOD YOU WERE NOT PRIME MINISTER DURING WW2. DON'T SHOOT AT THE GERMANS UNLESS THEY SHOOT FIRST.

  • Love the echoing of God Save the Queen being chanted in the background, back in the days where the British had something to be proud of.

  • @MegaLolburger we have everything to be proud of we are the solid rock of the world and trust me the whole world knows it

  • los ingleses viven en una nube de mentira

son capaces de robarle a sus abuelas ustedes

  • lesbian old come here alone jaja inglesitos you are gays comre here again i want to fight with you but come alone and fuck you england jaja

  • @holaroger you embarrass my fellow countrymen with your childish comments

  • @holaroger That woman is now old and she cud still kick ur fag ass back to peasent land

  • @holaroger You want to go again motherfucker???

  • As to the subject matter here: Thatcher's cuts extended to the military under her defense secretary John Nott, who signalled his intention to call back the Endurance from the South Atlantic. This was bound to lead Argentina to believe it could attack the Falklands with impunity, bolsering the junta with a wave of partiotism. As it turned out, the mad cow whose cuts led to the invasion rode to an election victory on the backs of the young people who died winning them back. Cruel irony.

  • @freddo27 A country has the right to move its ships etc where it wants without worrying about another dickhead country invading its people and land......Its called International law and decency. We have the right to withdraw Endurance with out having to worry about the Terrorital ambitions of these types of countries......But they did us a favour....Defence spending went up.....we won the war and Maggie won the election....A win win win situation

  • @bannon1000 Depends if you were one of the kids who paid tyhe ultimate price for putting her back in, I guess. Two of my family and one friend paid for her negligence with their lives down there. If she hadn't been swinging her axe down on everything, the invasion may not have happened. How naive "international law and decency", Tyrants don't usually fail to act because it's against 'decency' do they? That's kind of naive. Was general Pinochet 'decent' then? Thatch thought so.

  • @freddo27 Do you think a patrol ship like endurance would of stopped an invasion.....One little patrol ship against subs, aircraft carrier, over 200 combat aircrfat destroyers and a battleship..... that was 8,000 miles from its mainland would of stopped an invasion planned in January......the ship was not even talked about in relation ti withdrawl for months after the invasion was planned.....DRRRRRRRRRRR

  • @bannon1000 Stop making silly DRRR noises and get real. Yes, it would most likely have prevented the invasion, since it could have intercepted Argentine vessels en route over the 400 mile distance to the Islands. Bearing in mind the Argentine junta held back from invading despite plenty of threatening noises for years until it was removed, it's obvious it was a factor.

By the way, I don't need to research what Thatcher's policies did. I lived through them. She gave us all a very shitty time.

  • @freddo27 So one small Patrol vessel would of stopped an aircraft carrier, battle ship, over 5 Destroyers armed missle corvettes....fast attack boats....submarines over 200 fighter/attack aircraft that included Skyhawks,Mirages,ANBERRA BOMBERS....Not to mention an army of over 50,000 men.....One small PATROL VESSEL could of stopped an entire nation's armed forces.....Are you on drugs....IT HAD NO MISSLES JUST GUNS THEIR 4 SUBS COULD OF SUNK IT LET ALONE OVER 200 COMBAT AIRCRAFT....DRRRRRRR

  • @bannon1000 If it took a task force of 2 aircarft carriers,destroyers,

attack subs, harriers and thousands of men over 3 weeks and our losses of 7 seven ships.....yOU SAY ONE LIGHTLY ARMED PATROL SHIP WOULD OF DONE WHAT A TASK FORCE(THE LARGEST PUT TO SEA SINCE WORLD WAR 2) TOOK 3 WEEKS TO DO......aRE YOU ON SOMETHING.....Why send a task force.....just have a lightly armed Patrol boat DRRRRRRR

  • @freddo27 ha ha ha ha ha ha.......You make me piss my sides......HMS Endurance only weapons were 2x 20mm guns and 2 Wasp helicopters.......And a handful of men and you think this ship with 2x 20mm guns would of stopped the Argentine fleet, airforce and army.....See your doctor the mds are clearly NOT working.

  • @bannon1000 That's good, It's reciprocal then. You have just demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge about the miltary, which kind of tallies with your political knowledge. You're hopeless in every suibject you attempt! Well done. A resounding failure.

I was in the paras for eleven years. You?

  • Let me try to explain what happened. After the Endurance was recalled thanks to the hideous witch and her cuts, the Argentine junta thought they detected a lack of will to defend the islands. CIA reprots warned that the junta seemed intent on some kind of miltary action. Thatcher ignored them. The Argentine navy transported men and machinery little by little, ship by ship.A British destroyer in the region would make the transports risky. Can you understand why?

  • @freddo27 WHATS IN CORRECT????......I THINK MY KNOWELEGE IS JUST A LITTLE MORE ACCURATE.............google HMS ENDURANCE AND GET YOUR CARER TO READ IT YOU THEN COME BACK AND APOLOGISE.......GOOD BOY.Oh yes everyone been in the army have'nt they.....Yes i was in the Marines for 85 years.

  • @bannon1000 You wouldn't survive two minutes in the boy scouts son. Well, you know more than the British Admiralty. Well done. We're all very proud of you. Clearly the Endurance' presence in the South Atlantic served no purpose at all. Thanks for educating us. freddo, he's just a spotty little prick who's read the boy's own book of the british army and had an action man. Still got it, no doubt. You're an ignorant little prick who knows fuck-all about anything bannon. You needed telling, sorry.

  • @bolloxinator Thanks, I knew that. Anyway, I'm bored and off to bed. Some of us have to work for a living ;)

  • @freddo27 so a task force of carriers destroyers,Frigates 5 attacksubs with aircraft did not of stop the activities but a lone destroyer 8,000 miles from would of???? What planet are you off???

  • @freddo27 The whole task force,UN sanctions etc did not stop them but a ship with 2x20mm guns or a lone destroyer would of??? yes of course it would of.....They would be more wary of that than 2 carriers and over 10 destroyers and Frigates 5 nuclear powered attack subs and thousands of troops backed by aircraft.....Why did'nt Maggie think of that a lone Destroyer would of done it.....They attacked our large task force sinking 7 ships or so so what would a single destroyer of done????

  • @bolloxinator ha ha ha ha ha ha ha........need i say more.

  • @freddo27

Freddo your original comment is incredibly stupid and naive.

  • @Taramriel Glad you liked it.

  • while the fools were singing England England they were having England's assets taken away through privatizations. Intelligent diversion the Falklands war.

  • Bitch. If her axe hadn't fallen on the South Atlantic destroyer a few months before it happened, the Argentine tinpot dictators would never have dared invade, and a lot of working class lads wiould have still been alive. Look it up, don't believe your Daily Mail bullshit. Mind you, with an election coming up and all that, a war's always good for votes.

  • She runied this country!

  • @lukespencer91 She did a lot of good.....took on the Unions and while the Arthur Scargills rode around in Jags....chaffeur driven the striking miners he was visiting survived on soup kitchens and hand out's.....Thats what she took on and destroyed.

  • @bannon1000 You read the Sun too much.

  • @London2272 As with many things on here you have got it wrong......The newspaper i read is the Independent.....But you have possibly never even heard of it.....I assume the Sport is about your limit.

  • @bannon1000 The Independent, you surprise me. Well, who can say where you got it from? Believe me old son, if I would want to be seen dead with a thing like that tabloid you mention or any of its ilk, I wouldn't have the views I do have.

'Took on the Unions', bitch destroyed out bargaining power, took away the right to claim unfair dismissal for under 25s, destroyed British Industry, decimated entire communities. All because the miners brought down Heath. Vindictive old slag. May she die poor.

  • @London2272 Yes Maggie took on the Unions. My parents remember the Unions bringing our country to to its knees.....whole regions plunged in to darkness in winter at dinner times as electricity boards went on strike, piles of rubbish in the streets and on public parks.British business priced out of competition.Look at Scargill today.....GOOGLE IT.Suing the N.U.M. because HIS FREE fuel bills are to end!!!!! He stayed in hotel driven around in a chaffeur driven Jag whilst miners lived hand to mouth

  • @bannon1000 Why the fixation with Scargill? He's not screwing the entire country like that mad cow did. My parents remember the anti-union legislation of the Heath administration that caused the strikes. The Tories would love us to have this nice cap-touching attitude and take all the shit they throw at us while giving backhanders to their city mates. Sorry, no. Piss off the working class, and you get some back. Cam-moron's soon going to learn that too.

  • @London2272 Under Maggie British GDP went up.....Wealth went up.....People given back power and the Unions that struck at ordinary people.....Unions that were so destructive and powerful they crippled British business were brought back in control......But as i say it is summed up that Scargill whom still lives in a grace& favour apartment is suing the NUM because his FREE fuel is to be stopped.....He visited mining communities torn apart by strikes then retired to his top hotel...disgraceful

  • @bannon1000 So what if Scargill's a prick? Thatcher was the worst, most destructive, anti-social cow who ever breathed. As education secretary she earned the label 'Thatcher the Snatcher' for stealing school milk from kids, introduced to tackle rickets and malnutrition. Every step of the way, every advance in modern times, there's been the Conservative party, opposing those changes, taking back hard-won rights, robbing the poor to give to the rich. Wealth went up at the top, poverty soared too.

  • @London2272 In your view.....clearly a majority did not agree as she won 3 consecutive elections......She created the wealth that put us in the worlds top ten for GDP....thats a fact. The Unions crippled industry and drove many contracts over seas due to the out dated belief that they ran the country.....They do and did not......Governments are elected to run the country.....not inadequate wanna be's who crave status and power.

  • @bannon1000 Hitler won the bloody election in Germany in 1933, doesn't make him Mr Nice guy of the 20th century, does it?

Never underestimate the power of the tabloids. Murdoch klnows it, Blair knew it.

You say she 'created the wealth', that's useless to the majority of the country who never saw any of it.

Your last paragraph describes Mr Cameron perfectly. And don't forget Thatcher never had more than 33 percent of the vote.

  • @bolloxinator Well first of all.....lets have some facts correct.....In the 1983 election Maggie got 42.4% of the vote......not 33% .....that is FACT.Google it.Secondly you say the "majority of the country never saw the wealth"???? On what do you base that statement??? Sounds good but has no factual basis .....its just empty meaningless words.....British GDP went up.....FACT.

  • @bannon1000 Perhaps you can enlighten me on how the whole country benefitted from this 'wealth' of hers by the way? All we ever saw was rent hikes, pensions below inflation, prescription charges going from 20p to 6 quid, doctors and nurses thrown on the dole, schools closed, hospitals closed, pits closed, wageds down, council housing flogged but not replaced, three mile dole queues, crumbling town centres as small businesses weres wallowed up by the big guns, on and on....

  • Comment removed

  • @bolloxinator How any sane person can compare Hitler to MAGGIE IS BEYOND ME......Hitler presided over mass invasion.....Millions of men, woman and children MURDERED nad tortured and starved on a scale never seen in history. Torture camps and slaughter houses for use against people built on a wholesale scale......Funny can not find ANYWHERE that Maggie did and that and she was the FIRST leader to win 3 Consecutive General Elections....regardless of vote she won the elections.....FACT.

  • @bannon1000 Well, under her rule the gap between rich and poor widened, people were driven to despair by long-term unemployment as whole towns were devastated by savage closures and redundancies. Elderly people were left in cold houses unable to afford fuel while the 'party faithful' had a great time on share payouts from sold-off services, which we pay for to this day with council tax. Regardless of winning the elction with a 3rd of the vote, she was a hated, vicious, accursed old cow. Fact.

  • @bannon1000 By the way, read my post. Can you see where where I've said 'She was exactly like Hitler'? You implied that getting elected must mean someone's nice. Maybe Thatcher was only marginally less egocentric and downright mad than Hitler, and managed to cause almost as much suffering to people in Britain as he did, but it depends who you ask. If you're unfortunate enough to have lived in a place where people had to do some real work for a living, you'll know she was a horrible cow.

  • @bolloxinator How did she cause as much suffering as hitler.....Under her whole cities were not bombed....thousands and thousands killed....Children taken from their families and sent to live in the countryside.....blackout conditions, Conscription and rations...... To name but a few so how you think she was responsible for nearly as much suffering as Hitler is beyond me..... Nor were hundreds of thousands killed in a war under her....Your factual knowledge is NON EXSISTENT

  • @bannon1000 I give up. metaphors are lost on you, comparisons taken all out of context. And overall, it's like debating with someone who says the moon is made of green cheese. There were no good things to come out of her premiership at all for the majority of people, only bad. The Poll Tax was the culmination of a disastrous period in our history, and again, we are paying extortionate council taxes to this day because she flogged all of our services for a fast buck. Just one of her lagacies.

  • Bah. Ah well, if you can misspell existent, I can mistype legacies.

  • @bolloxinator Well you can play with words all you like.....But saying Maggie caused as much suffering as Hitler is laughable. When some one does not subscribe to your view you react like a child.......The Poll Tax was wrong and i have always said so.....But many things she did do were positive and beneficial......in my view.Beacuse some one does not accept your view point as their's.....you spit your dummy out. Arrrrr deeee dums.

  • @bannon1000 No, it's quite a fitting analogy. She crushed dissent with similar ruthlessness. You'd know that had you protested against her hated poll tax and seen police with no numbers on their uniforms, baton charging cornered people who'd never been on any demonstrations before, and chucking people out of wheelchairs. Or riot police descending on your town to stop you striking to keep your pit open, rounding up union officials and organisors. She obviously took advice from her mate Pincohet.

  • @bolloxinator It is a commonly known fact if a business is not profitable and spending more than it makes then it will close. With the mines the Unions priced us out of the market. It was CHEAPER to obtain coal abroad ship it to the UK & then sell it than it was to mine in this country.Because the Unions had crippled the economy,3 day week etc.So you think the nation should of propped up the mines?Do you mean striking miners that CHOOSE to beat up their own family members?disown their own mates?

  • @bannon1000 "Arr de dums", are you sure it's the Independent you read, not the Dandy? I'm quite calm thanks, despite your childish avoidance of subject matter by your laughably inept usage of misquotes. I'm afraid you don't have what it takes to get me hot under the collar. You're actually giving me quite a few chuckles here, so all was not in vain after all! Well, you failed spectacularly to give any examples of what Thatcher did which benefitted everyone in this country.

    Fin.

  • @bolloxinator Is that the best you can do??? Its beyond pathetic......its shameful. So you would prefer the times before Maggie, the 3 day week as the Union hed the country to ransom.Rubbish uncollected, social and moral squalor???? You like that?In 1977 the UK had to beg the IMF for a loan.....from 1979-1989, the UK economy grew by 28%.....GDP grew by 26%.....She brought in less regulation, she gave us enterprise and privatization......That enough facts for you???Or would you like more? MUPPETT.

  • @bolloxinator And MUPPETT while i am giving some facts.....here's a couple more.....By January 1982 inflation inherited at 18% had fallen to 8.6%......a drop of nearly 10%......some measure gave it as slightly over 10% but a lets say it was just under 10%.....massive impact and change to have inflation drop by almost 10%.....Do you understand about inflation??? No thought not. By June 1983....Economic growth was stronger, inflation and mortgage rates at their lowest level since 1970....FACT.

  • @bolloxinator And MUPPETT you look stupid.....The country did not back the strikes....The NUM and Scargill were FINED for illegal striking.....Taxi Driver David Wilike MURDERED taking striking miners in to work. The NUM brought down the Heath Government in 1974....The Unions are not elected to run this country nor hold it to ransom. But miners not wanting to strike were prevented from going to work, attacked as were lorry drivers /bus drivers CHOOSING to work....Get real..it shows you know NOTHING

  • @bannon1000 Killed driving people to work whom wanted to work......That's your kind of o.k. is it????? Disgusting.People intimidated in to not going to work.....Peope attacked because they choose to go to work.....You may think the Unions can price this country out of the market, bring governments down and hold us to ransom MAGGIE did not and showed them were to shove their attitude. She wiped the Union's power out.WELL DONE MAGGIE.You did what the country wanted and WHAT YOU WERE ELECTED TO DO.

  • @bannon1000 No, you look stupid Kermit. The strikes were made illegal by anti-union laws implemented by the bitch AFTER she provoked the miners to strike by closing their pits and decimating entire towns, her first priority as a vindictive overprivileged battleaxe was to destroy working class unity as a punishment for bringing down Heath. You're showing you're head's full of bullshit lies, but that's no surpirise at all. You either make them up or swallow them.

  • Furthermore, how is it acceptable for billionaire tabloid owners and Lords living abroad to bring down governments, if it's not OK for working people to organise against them? Standard doublethink. You Tories are trying to lead us into a hellhole of Corporate dictatorship, where the fat cats get to do what they like to whoever they like, but you should remember that working people are quite placid until riled, and right now Ca-moron and his lackies are getting annoying. Remember the poll tax.

  • @bolloxinator The poll tax.....the tax that over 10 years of Labour refused to get rid of???? That Poll tax???? Yes......get some education.....facts and reality then come back.....It seems you know nothing......Your becoming embarrassing......BIG TIME.

  • @bannon1000 You're a complete idiot, aren't you? Where are you getting your 'facts' from? The Monday Club? The Poll Tax was the so-called 'community charge' which finally ended the rule of the mad cow. It was her flagship, an attack on everyone at once, and the working class sunk it. Her party threw it out, and her too, changing it to the Council Tax. All the services were flogged off for a fast buck, and were now higher priced, thanks to this bitch. Please try to argue factually.

  • @bannon1000 You're a thick overprivileged plonker, and I'm off somewhere else to debate with someone who knows their arse from their elbow. It amazes me that the wealthiest people in this country are by far and away the stupidest too.

  • @bolloxinator HA HA HA HA.....Proved wrong so a few child like insults and your off.....Very predictable. But the Community charge, polltax are essentially the same.....same principle, same theory and same basis just re-jigged. What bought Maggie down was spineless, two faced little men in grey suites without a grain of decency or courage between them.

  • Oh you poor fool, you've proven yourself wrong. Each rant just highlighted your ignorance. You asked for examples of her misdeeds and received them. In return, you've done all you can to duck the simple question "how did the WHOLE country benefit from her policies". You've failed miserably. You're wrong on every count. Each and every idea you have is flawed, everything you hold as fact is contrived. One thing I'm grateful to her for: she made the Tories unelectable. As people like you do.

  • @bolloxinator How thick are you.....The NUM and Scargill were fined in court for breaching their OWN.....THEIR OWN CONSTITUTION......Nothing to do with anti Union laws....Goggle it.Then what about the Nottinghamshire miners 20,000 of the 27,000 voted NOT to strike but were threatened with Expulsion from the NUM.....so bullied into striking.....THE TRADE UNION CONGRESS DID NOT EVEN back the strikes.....Go away and read up,your ignorance is blinding.

  • @bannon1000 You were challenged to mention something that was 'beneficial' to everyone in this country, and persistently declined. Funny how all her supporters do the same. It's so paper-thin it's transparent. She did nothing for anyone except the well-off. Nothing.

  • @freddo27 My pleasure; Before she took power,in 1977 we had to beg the IMF for a loan.Britons economy grew by 28% in 1979-1980...GDP grew by 26%. Britain had less regulation, had privatization and enterprise under Maggie.By January 1982 inflation inherited at over 18% had fallen to 8.6%.By June 1983 economic growth was stronger and inflation lower and mortgage rates at their lowest level since 1970.The UK ranked in top 10 Economies in GDP.Now is that enough for you.Not bad eh?

  • Undeniably the strongest prime minister this country has ever had.

  • @alocohc ermmm your forgetting Churchill

  • @jasonisherewow No,I didn't forget him, I just consider her to have been stronger.

  • @alocohc and the cruelest :(

  • @alocohc winston churchill was

  • @MrPenguinPerson I didn't forget him, but I guess she is more real to me as I was a Thatcher child. I do think he gets all the credit though because he brought Britain to victory in a war where the stakes were higher. Where would we be withour him I dread to think. I wouldn't be surprised if Britain does not bring to power again leaders as strong as Churchhill or Thatcher.

  • @alocohc you're probably right there.
