This IS the best of them, it's the only one with Kevin Klein, pretty dull without his performance. Amazing that even he couldn't save Midsummer Nights Dream Remake. I have a copy of the movie and I have no idea where it came from. I remember my grandson playing this song over and over and over and over and, will you get the picture. No one in the house ever said stop or don't. Wish this would come out on DVD, hey hollywood there's a buck to be made here, get busy,,,,,

Actually, they are two separate movies. I used to watch both of them all the time as a kid. The Pirates of Penzance is a film version of the Gilbert and Sullivan musical. The Pirate movie is a more like a modern retelling, or adaptation.

I have been looking for this movie on Dvd but no luck! I am a big fan of Anglea Lansbury and I feel that compared with some of the other singers from the golden age of Hollywood she does not get the respect she deserves for her work. I would really love it if the whole movie was posted on youtube!

You can only get this version in VHS. They haven't made it for DVD yet, and trust me, I've looked EVERYWHERE. They do have a stage version with Kevin Kline in it for DVD though.

Does anyone have any information on WHY this film has not been released on DVD yet? It's so terrific, and Kevin Klein has never been better! The VHS tapes on E-Bay are EXPENSIVE and all used.

Oh My God. This tune is used at Celtic Park in Glasgow by Hoops fans! 'Hail, Hail, the Celts are here! What the hell do we care, what the hell do we care!' G&S gets everywhere, including the football terraces of Glasgow it seems!
