There is a easy way to take the hook off.You need a chainsaw cut your finger off(the one with the hook).Take the hook off you will feel no pain because of your finger is remove than glue it back(I prefer Elmer brand)
yea, when i get hooks in my finger, which happens alot, i just go real quick to the hospital, they give me a numb shot, and they pull it out. no need for the pain with the pliers, though i have done it like that before too. =)
that is deffinatly the best way to go but they were a long way from a hospital there. probably a good hour or so. they decided to just do it this way and keep fishing.
did the same thing but in my calf and we could not get it out and i ended up having to get it surgically removed the needle they used to numb the area hurt worse then the hook.
i have done that, it tickles pretty good. a friend of mine also got one in his back one time. i thought he was going to pass out while we were cutting it out.

i got a hook stuck in my leg when i was riding my bike home from fishing
it got caught in my leg and i fell off my bike
the way the hook broke we couldnt do what you did or tie a string around a fingure
the E.R< guy tried to yank it out but couldnt so he had to take a scapul and yank it out
