Tried everything: fring with voipbuster and voipstunt, the vonage application, adphone aplication nothing works for free, the only thing the worked for me so far was truphone and it worked because it gives you 50 cents worth of calls when you sing up so unless someone has another bright idea of how to make absolutely free calls anywhere in the world i am happy to hear them if not I say that there is no such thing as free lunch.

should be, if you want this to be a permanent use You'll have to find a different service provider. (the one in the video doesn't offer its service free anymore, just a few minutes for a proof of concept.)

I think the ppl I sent from this video may have flooded them, so they stopped offering it free.

At the time I made the video no you could have unlimited but that was october 05 2008.

Now probably because I kinda flooded their service with all you guys that watched this video :P, they limited it to 5 calls, then you could purchase more minutes.

Fring still works fine, you'll just have to find a different service provider.

The service provider I showed in the video changed their plans, now all you get is a few free minutes after that you can't use it anymore. You won't get a bill or anything.

There are a lot of voip services and skype is a good one, that works with this app, (there is also a skype app too, but its not in all the international app stores, not even in Canada...) all skype to skype calls are 100% free but if you wish to make a call to a real number, you need to purchase minutes, but they are cheap.

I pay 12 dollars in skype a month, that allows me to call to over 40 countries (landlines and some cellphones) unlimited.

I call my girlfriend in Colombia, then she uses my skype account over there and calls me directly yo my cellphone, that is awesome. now I found something that allows me to use the 3G network to make those calls. cant be more happier than that.

I'm running the 3.0 ( the real firmware jailbroken not beta) cydia crashes too much but I'm really happy with what skype does now.

You should check into Skype's new app, If you live in Canada like me, I have to still use fring to use Skype.

You don't get a number unfortunately so you have to use your regular number that comes with your cellphone, but other people with fring can call your fring account. Or skype if your using skype.

SIP stunt now only give you only a few free minutes, So thats why I've been suggesting skype its pretty reasonable.

Now their is actually a skype app on the app store, all skype calls between skype members are free too.

You know when you buy a new phone it comes with a michrophone with a little speaker on it? well you can get one of those for the iphone which will work with the ipod touch (i have 8gb it works) , you need that because the ipod doesn't have a voice recorder so it will not detect your voice. Hope this helps

There is to a mic. Its called the phillips iphone microphone adapter. It is an adapter/mic that you plug your regular headphones into and talk into the middle. Google it. Think before you say somethin, you just might get showed up. Good day.

Ya it hasn't worked every-time calling cells for me either I guess its a glitch when I works. I just try a few times and get though usually within 2 or 3 tries.

But its not Fring that has the restriction, it the service provider I used, Some others don't have any restrictions but usually cost money though.

Certain service providers like the one I used are free, VoipStunt is an SIP service and they allow free one minute calls.

There are others but I haven't gone into researching for the best, b/c skype is pretty reasonable.
