@juliug Do you remember in Rise of the Planet of the Apes... There was a TV report saying that there was a mission to mars... And then about half the movie later there was a person reading a newspaper that said lost in space... Well Astronaughts went on a mission to mars and went through a wormohole that spat them out 2000 years later... So the guy in this movie is not the guy in Rise of the Planet of the apes... He's a different dude... None of the characters are the same... Hope that helps :)
@juliug This is not the real movie this one sucks dick. The real one is from 1968. Also in rise of the planet of the apes humans die from diesese in the real one it was nuclear war.
No, this movie should actually be like sequal to the rise of the planet of the apes.
On the rise of the planet of apes notice that spaceman gone lost in space in one newspaper, well that's the guy, so he must have actually fell in to the real planet Earth, but just with a time difference. And with that time, everything changed.
My point is, this is deffinetly not 500 years before the rise of the planet of the apes, this is actually 500 or more years after that!
will there be a planet of the apes remake in like 2013? and how the hell does rise of the planet of the apes connect to this? this must be like 500 years before the rise of the planet of the apes.....
so in ROPOTA, when that spaceship that got "lost in space", wuz that mark walbergs spaceship that went into another dimension thus creating Planet of the Apes (2001)?
I seem like the only person who enjoyed the movie for what it's worth; A movie about the world taken over by apes. People were too harsh on this movie. Don't take it so seriously and just enjoy it. Rise of the planet of the apes was what I expected it to be as well; FUN but not to be taken seriously. I can't wait for the next movie.
@DERFVEDA He was the original leader of the apes or something like that. A reference in the fourth Planet of the Apes movie says so, but I think that the 2001 version has a completely different storyline .. :)
Why was a remake intended? There was nothing wrong with the original, the original was a classic, and this is actually a lot worse the the original, if you can't remake it then, don't.
Ceaser aint in this Film,, Along with any of his other friends in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Ceaser had to have died off, He just began the Revolution but like Humans they evolved in to something Evill! ;)))
Tim burton is so pathetic he takes brilliant ideas and old movies and remakes them into pathetic garbage im surprised any actor wants to even be in his films
@MrBallzacSniff In the fourth planet of the apes film I think it is, there is a reference that Ceaser was the leader of the original troop of apes and that his first words were "NO!". I found this out by going to the "extras" menu on The Rise of the Planet of the Apes DVD. I don't think Ceaser is in any of the other films though, but there is that reference in the fourth film :) Hope this helped!
I don't know why you guys compare this to 2011 version lol, 2011 is a prequel to this, not a remake. It has a completely different story. It sets up the foundation for this film
@hacksign000 No, the 2011 film is a prquel to the 1968 version. The director of rise of the planet of the apes specifically said he is ignoring tim burton's film altogether
I remember seeing some cast and crew interviews when this came out, and even THEY were confused as hell as to the timeline of this movie, so... Doens't make much sense.
@PriestcheesVideos How did all the modern world civilizations disappear in few decades ? Ceasar still lives in the 2001 movie and it looks like its been alot more years further. that is one big thing that doesnt connect at all.
@PriestcheesVideos Two different stories mate. This shitty Tim Burton remake isn't in any storyline. Rise is considered as the first of a new trilogy/prequel to the original movie/remake of the fourth movie.. Either way this shit doesn't count towards anything
the new ape movie is not sick u moron.. it more logical and base on scientific idea.. the movie tell you the beginning of apes revolution.. not just war between apes and man... u r sick man ... LOL :P
Mark, Katie told me a joke about your band, and I laughed. I didn't know you could see me from a dream. If I had known you could see me from a dream, then I wouldn't have laughed. To me it seemed that Thade investigated the ship and found a way to go back further in time to Earth around the Civil War period. He replaced Lincoln and became the liberator of apes. So far, the ending did took place on Earth, and so far what seems to me is that, yes the film did also took place on Earth as well, just that Thade was trap on the spaceship and figure out how to travel back in time I guess.
