  • I'm so happy to hear that it worked well for you. Terrific!

  • This has made a huge difference for me since I watched this video about a month ago. Thank you, Gretchen, for sharing this simple strategy that is cleaning up my life!

  • I'm going to try this

  • I'm so pleased to hear that it works for you.

  • Hi Gretchen! The one-minute rule is fantastic! It has made such a difference around our house!

  • This is a great tip. She is on the money.

  • awsome!

  • I love the message. By the way, who makes the dress you are wearing? I am looking for Sichuan a dress

  • i hate clutter

  • 0-O I Already do this?

  • What a great strategy. You turn that "wasted" time into productive time, and also realize how little time it takes to do those kinds of tasks. I'm going to copy that!

  • Terrific!

  • Thank you for your happiness wishes - received them in the mail last week!!!! Lots of thanks, from Canada

  • I do stuff when my coffee heats in a microwave for 1.45 minutes, and its amazing how much you can do. I can refill the washer, wash a sinkful of cups, clear the kitchen counters, sweep the floor, etc. Not all of these things at once, but I've been stunned at how much I can do within that amount of time.

  • I just cannot stand clutter!!!

  • Good luck with it!

  • i like that idea! thank you!

  • I really love that rule. I have to say I've just eaten and left the wrapper on my desk but as you was saying about the 1 minute rule I just reached over and put it in the bin (though it did make me feel lazy as the bin was only 3 or 4 foot behind me i could have done that in the first place =-$) o well at least i did the one mintue rule. Anyway thanks for the motivation =-)

  • While I don't know of Gretchen overarching philosophy, her "real life," tips here are backed by disturbing science: The reason so many people are weighted down with clutter is a. Depression - clinical or situational, and b. 'Damaged' attention span.

  • Great video and what a great tip to help everyone!

  • Excellent advice, Gretchen, as always!! I have been following this rule since reading your book, and it really makes a difference in clutter and overall calm in the home!

  • @tenthousandhugs Terrific! Isn't it surprising how clearing clutter really does make life happier and calmer? but really true!

  • I'm so HAPPY to hear that you enjoy it! Thanks for watching.

  • This is such a cool project! I feel bad for not having found about it before. :-/
