Wow! Just read about this movie. So a guy takes a famous film and puts it on slow-motion, and it gets its own release, not to mention acclaim? Proof that you no longer need to be talented to find success in the movies anymore.
lol comments below just seem like cynical people trying to out do another viewers opinion. its not about the film it self - not Douglas 'creating a slide show.Its the idea, process and execution. i dont think u should perceive this as being a short film but an instillation .. which is what it is.
@itsmscherish I don't think the common movie goer would perceive it as such. I don't disagree, but expecting this was a good idea, was a horrible decision.

I'm just saying, I understand psycho is a landmark in filmmaking. but the film itself is a not masterpiece. I would've personally done it with john carpenter's halloween.
I know that. john carpenter has always mentioned the huge influence the movie had on halloween. but even carpenter pointed out that despite it's groundbreaking impact, it's still far from a masterpiece.
Does it remind anyone else of when you used to play with your Fisher Price Movie Viewer. I used to go through one film cartridge of a Mickey Mouse short called Lonesome Ghosts, going slowly frame by frame, cranking it backwards and forwards. Watching the whole edited short backwards.
SLO-MO has been a page one first year project for film/video art students for many, many years. C'mon don't be conned (obviously the curator or whoever first got knocked out by this hadn't done his/her homework)!

Looking at something moving much slower allows a completely different interpretation, and it appeals to the voyeuristic tendency in all of us.
