  • respect! very good.

  • What's Sasastro's range? I can get down to C2, what's his lowest and highest notes?

  • Sarastro was written for Gerl a masonic buddy of Mozart. This aria ends on an F Natural. The other aria goes to a low F# or an optional low E Natural. As I remember it goes up to about a E Natural. Mozart wrote a number of concert arias for Gerl most of which have similar ranges. The really low bass concert arias were written for Fischer, The higher ones were written for Benucci (high F#s- low G's).

The hard part about Sarastro is the breathing and the legato, not the low notes.

  • Great voice, but i did have a bit of trouble understanding the text. Bring out the diction a bit more and you have a stellar performance. But again very nice voice.

  • Very nice voice!!! I can ear the low notes perfectly.

    Nice legato line...

  • Is this a high school production???? And where are the low notes????

  • No, it wasn't a high school production, but it was pretty low-budget, and the production was built to travel. My low notes are available on my website where the audio is better and not seated directly behind the brass.

  • Looks like you just got owned! Singoff on youtube!

  • It's a nice voice, though it is hard to hear the low notes over the brass. they should play down for basses, boo on them

  • In defense of the conductor and orchestra, they unfortunately had to play outside of the pit in an area where they removed seats.
