To anyone considering getting one of these they are a very shy fish at first and get a live feeder tank i have to go to the store every 3 days to feed mine dammit.
i know but i'm definitly getting a snowflake eel for the 30 gallon tank, they can fit in a tank tha size for its whole life. do you think i will be able to get a fuzzy dwarf lionfish in there to, i believe i will!
@MrTomster93 you should definitely get a larger tank than 32 gallons. I have three fishes, and i have a 92 gallon tank- and I want to move up to a larger capacity tank. It is easier to keep the tank clean and healthy when it is large.
that thing is soooo cute, it's like satellite dishes he's equipped with! Do you have any other fish housed with it and what size tank? Also, how is it doing so far do you still have him?
what would be the smallest tank size one of these woulnt mind living in ( by its own or with another one of its kind ? ) and how long is the normal life span
i dont know much about lion fish ;] i didnt know there where dwarf ones , thanx
mine is fairly agressive to the small feeder fish i drop in every now and then. if the perc is fully grown it shouldnt bother it. as for gobies it depends on what one you get. the larger ones should be left alown but the smaller ones might be a death meal for both fish. gobies are highly toxic to any fish they get eaten by and most likly the fish that eats the goby will also die so choose wisly.

they are capabale of engulfing fish much larger than you would think. This fish should only be kept with fish larger than itself.
