@Oati127 hey both have good and bad sides if you get the psp version there is no 3D gameplay / cutscenes besides in dungeons but in the FES version you can only control the main character via direct commands that means you can only give the team mates some commands like letting one support and the other one attack so if you want a better fighting mechanic pick the psp version.

I have 1, 2, 3 and 4, and while i enjoy 1, most people seem not to. Its entirely possible to like 1 and 2 but not 3 and 4 because they are actually quite different, so you could try either set and love them while hating the others. I prefer 3 but enjoy the others but they are different

Just be prepared. The Persona series is a spin-off of the SMT games, as in the usual philosophy of the game series is toned WAY down. A normal SMT game makes you question everything your morals revolve around. @yaku3 Wel.. your magatama gives you stat bonuses and also changes your weaknesses and your strengths. Also, magatama allows you to learn certain skills (Like healing, fire, etc). Kinda like Personas, but there arent as many. If your gunna play SMT Nocturne, build your character into a hulk, and learn more physical attack skills, and mabye one elemental (fire-based perhaps?)

Persona 3 Portable is more a updated version of the basic game while FES is the definitive version. You don't get to play the 30 hour epilogue The Answer after you beat the game.
