According to CGI who just moved to PEI from the USA, the graduates of Holland College are not worth hiring. They claim that the graduates are useless and being able to log on, perhaps tape a couple of pieces of cable together does not make an I T employee. They would rather go to India and hire from there. So is this course a waste of time. They think so.

@krobinsonization I know many graduates from Holland College that CGI hired and promoted to senior developer and management positions. I have been hired by a major international IT firm off of the Island with a great salary and comprehensive benefits, another was picked up by a small start-up for his expertise, two work with the government, and another is working for a successful Island-based company. Everyone from my class is working, as well as those I know from the undergrad program.

@IPaddress123 Our program is a 10-month program so it ends in June. The program has a history of having a 100% employment in the industry. You can find more info at the Holland College website.
