Well gosh Scottie. You worked. You had a roof over your head. You had transportation. You had meals. You were two weeks into a two year commitment and you quit -- you couldn't make it. Sure, multiple people leave... people just like you. If you go back over the literature, no one said it was easy and it always said you'd do "whatever it takes". Is a life of drugs easier than the RV program?
Scottie26- Please sir, don't become so consumed by the fact that this was not the program you were looking for and you were not ready to make the major changes in your life that is required. Please continue to seek whatever help with your addictions you desire. We wish you all the best in your journey.
Also I would work at contract job for 16 hours a day, never saw a paycheck from that, I also was told to fill out food stamp forms and never saw my card. FRAUD IS WHAT THIS PLACE IS! They have had over 800 people enter there program and only 80 graduate! Do NOT send your loved one here it will be a horrible mistake!
This place is utter bullshit. I spent 2 weeks there. I watched multiple people leave. Not completing the program. It is more of a labor camp than anyhthing else. I went to 1 step meeting
I So agree with knowyourrights31! I was there and it was a Nazi work camp! It had nothing to do with recovery I think I went to 3 NA/AA meetings while I was there. I slept like 4 hours a night then had go work ALL day and I'm not talking 8 hrs. It was 12 to 16 hrs. a day. They've something worked out with the "place of employment" they get paid and you get squat not even recovery! Everybody in this video works there in some shape or fashion so of course they are gonna make it sound great!
@jshane76 Sorry the program didn't work for you. We graduated 7 more individuals yesterday who successfully completed 24 months in the program. They were willing to do Whatever it Takes, to change their life of addiction. Remember we asked you if you were ready to do that. Perhaps not. Anyway, we wish you all the best, and if you did not get help here... please get help somewhere. All of us at RVC
I don't think that 80 graduates in 6 years is commendable or that their sobriety is accurate for the most part.Adam has relapsed(the Director's husband)along with countless other graduates as well as staff members, only to be swept under the rug with the excuse that addiction is cunning and baffeling. It really seems that your program's military tactics are not producing postive results...Power is an addiction too and that is the basis of your program along with many more unhealthy traits.SHAME.
I am sorry you feel that way knowyourrights31. As for myself and the other 80 some graduates to date, who have remained successful in our recovery, we feel the experience is priceless. Consider yourself fortunate for not requiring our services.
Fraud that is the first word that comes to my mind when I watch this video. It's scary that you can make such an unhealthy hellhole into paradise through a video camera. Shame on RVC for lying and ppretending that capital gain is the primary reason for its existence.
