I deeply love this, I remember as a kid, my dads vinyl copy of The Shadows Greatest Hits (1963?) was my music choice for sunday afternoon "music time" hehe, I'd be doing air guitar, my mum and dad would dance, my sister would curl up with her book and a cat, and the house smelled of tea and baking cake. Bliss.

Of all The Shadows pieces, this piece is of the most haunting. Slow but it is very soothing. Straight away it will bring you back to the early sixties where four-piece intrumental guitar groups were the most popular among teenagers.

In this particular piece, Hank Marvin did it on the lead guitar with lots of feelings. Credit must also go to Bruce Welch, he did a marvelous job on the rhythm guitar.

I love this tune, have seen the Shads a few times, but this is one of my fav's, hasn't anyone noticed, Peace Pipe, Geronimo, Apache all have a native American link. My band have rehearsed these tunes time and time again but for some unknown reason never get the chance to play them in the set. Nice channel, Best Wishes Mark :-)

I love this song! But I hadn't heard of this original version by The Shadows until recently. I really like old -school guitar instrumentals such as this.
