I'll give you the point that it's important, but obviously it didn't work in this case because the money was just being badly spent. That's even what happened with Obama's bigger bail-out package, the big company CEOs were just wasting it when they should have really just been giving people more jobs.

Umm maybe a small portion of it, yet a larger amount went to fund the war in Iraq (which really ahsn't been the most economic boom, quite the opposite). And it helped by killing a surplus and plunging the nation into a big deficit? And how is the rich getting richer going to solve the problem? How is paying idiotic bank CEOs 700 billion dollars going to solve the problem (oh it didn't lol)? Indeed I do, but I don't call myself republican, notice I haven't actually used that term. Republicans give a bad name to conservatives and don't know true conservative values (again, with the exception of Ron Paul). Actually here in Canada, the more you make, the more you have to pay for taxes, which I agree with and makes sense and is one of hte many reasons our country hasn't suffered nearly as much as yours ;). First of all it takes days to prepare for a commercial plane trip needing scrutiny over the passengers, flight crew, and pilots. That to me would be more of a hassle, duh! To criticize Obama for wanting to visit his grandmother during the end of a campaign because he didn't take a commercial flight is hilarious. Not only would security measures be insufficient, but the money is used to maximize efficiency so that he is back on the trail as soon as possible, thereby using donations to the Obama campaign wisely.

Obama has every right to go see his sick grandmother and if he didn't go see his grandmother, I am quite sure the Republicans would have a field day about it. "He doesn't care about America!
