you need the acceleration add on pack, and if you have a NAVAL Fighter (e.g F-14, F-18) you should be able to land, anything which has a hook can land on a carrier
sorry you are wrong... airforce planes have got a tail hook but its for emergency landings on lanbases... because just the gear of navy planes is strong enought for carrierlandings... or have you ever seen an F-15 on carrier, lol
and jay, read the readme on the file, it is hard to explain but simply, move all efects into effect folder, guages into guage folder, and airplane in to airplane folder.
How did u catch the wire on the deck?, my aircraft cant do that even with the tailhook down, i came on the approach and land on carrier but the tailhook didn;t catch the wire AT ALL even after i try 4 times????? SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED?

flight deck 5 is an add-on for FSX/FS9 the carriers are always there

if you dont "land" level, and if you flare, then the tailhook wont catch, so make sure you come in as level as you can
