Don't worry, raocow. DDR type games are tough as nails if you never play them. My suggestion is to play StepMania and set it to never fail... so you can just keep playing the entire song even if the bar is constantly at 0. :P

Raocow, when you play dancing games, its actually much easier to distinguish arrows when you increase the speed. If you're having trouble, try to increase the speed to 2x or 3x. It might help.

That should NOT be the easy difficulty. I swear that the DDR/Stepmania community is *trying* to drive newcomers away by making the "easy" level far too hard. I'm lucky that I started with a home DDR game, those are forgiving enough to let people get better without crushing them repeatedly.

lol that was insanity at it's finest! There is no way those songs could be considered "easy" by any means. I know that because I play Stepmaina... a LOT, lol! The songs you played would likely be considered 9-11 footers(Expert or Challenge level) in Stepmania. You should get Stepmania (if you didn't already)and get the "Plaguemix" series of songs from the site, they have a more balanced difficulty level.

Yeah I guess so, I mean I could pass any of the songs fairly easily as I can pass "Vertex Beta" on SM with a AA (No, I'm not bragging, I know there's better people) so there really isn't anything that's really that hard to me anymore, lol!

But, I was talking from a beginner's standpoint. I tried it out and even on easy it seems to be a 6-7 footer or so because of quick crossovers near the end. Still, medium is not easy or beginner in stepmania and likely too much for new players.
