Awesome town, he got through his illness in 1 go and became normal by the end. Any other town would've probably treated him like a psycho and he would've been marked permanently for the rest of his life as "psycho" so much that it may have reinforced his condition rather then cure it. He was also in this Canada film entitled Frankenstein and Me (1997), and I didn't know he was in it until YEARS later, in which he has a supporting role. He has to be, without a doubt, the best actor of his generation, and one of my top ten favorite actors of all time.

@MolanoZwolle Molano, I am glad that I attacked that feat & watched the movie Friday evening, even though I did not want to. I didnt LOVE the film if I am to be truthful but I didnt HATE it either. I enjoyed the sort of everyday small town folk portrayed through out the movie, the secluded winter rural feel of the town & the clothing & nick-nacks in the design of the settings. My favorite character was Dagmar played by Patricia Clarkson. I think she is a beautiful talented mid aged woman. : D

I respect other points of views, but I think that theyve turned, what might have been an interesting plot, into a soap opera. And the concept of delirium is mistaken; In the movie the good doctor explained that Lars was experimenting a delirious process, but wasn`t a case of psychosis.

The truth is, according to DSM IV, that delirium is a typical psychotic condition.

Art and comedy can take its liberties, but there are certain limits regarding credibility.
