  • Good technique. I like the disarm just am not sure about the fist punching to the bad guy's chin.I am trying to "unlearn" fist punching in favor of open hand striking. I like your videos. I only wish you would make some more. All of your stuff on here is years old.

  • I like to disarm my opponents by being a total bitch and giving them whatever they want. As long as the guy doesn't demand to anal rape me, I am all for not getting in a fight.

  • You can't compare this to Aikido. As it says it is a combative. This is far more plausible to happen in a real fight scenario then something you can pull off with "real Aikido". I've studied Aikido/Aikijutsu and many of those techniques are not designed for todays violence. Robert Bussey and David Smith know what they're talking about. This is theoretical, don't be dogmatic and walk blindly behind the shadow of your teacher ThehappyhellTime and don't fool yourself, "Real" Aikido is about ki

  • This is hardly a complex technique. When I was coming up with stick defenses for my own class, I thought of this same sort of movement without needing to be told.

Get close enough to negate the striking power of the stick, wrap the attacking arm, and rotate until the stick comes out. Simple. Intuitive. Everyone should know this technique.

  • u should look at frontline krav maga u tube clips cos they have very good stick defence clips .

  • @vikingproducts I am a Frontline Krav Maga Instructor.

  • this is bullshit ...stick should be stopped before it enters downword path...people don't use this tehnique.......watch aikido tehniques for any kind of defense

  • @ThehappyhellTime Do you happen to have any links to those aikido videos lying around? I'm sure we'd all love to see how it's supposed to be done.

  • @AllCombatDotNet No because I learn from aikido black belt and not from youtube...if People want to learn self-defence ,they should train aikido,krav-maga or some other self defence martial art.By the way, this tehnique of yours is too complicated for ordinary people to use, there are much more eaier tehniques for stick defence, and much more effective.

  • @ThehappyhellTime Are you telling me that on all of YouTube, there's not a single video you can point us to? Or that you can't shoot one yourself with somebody holding your cel phone for you? We're all for watching others people's techniques and demonstrations, but if you want to come on here and make these big sweeping declarations that you know better, then it would be nice if you'd give us some reason to believe that you actually do.

  • @AllCombatDotNet Man,I realy don't care about aikido videos on youtube because, like I said,I am proud to learn from real aikido master.People are not stupid, they will try this and they will see its too complicated,I am not a master of aikido and its not my job to argument about some useless tehniques on youtube. All I got to say is,all stick deffence tehniques should be based on stoping the stick before it enters downword path, every normal human can conclude it himself.

  • @ThehappyhellTime Well, you definitely felt it was your job when you came on here saying this was "bullshit." Next time, consider 2 things: 1) Stopping the stick before it comes down is obviously ideal, but what happens in the real world isn't always ideal. Sticks come down before we can get to them, and we need a way to deal with it. 2) This is not the only stick defense we're offering - it's just one, and it works great in this situation. A few minutes training on this technique is proof.

  • @AllCombatDotNet Ofc we won't always menage to stop the stick when we want, but if you put any part of your body infront of a heavy stick or club at its strongest point, you are gona endup with something broken,so when you can't stop it on time, the best is to avoid it completely and deal with it on the next attack. ( and don't say we can't always escape from it,because there is always an escape move )

  • @ThehappyhellTime you are seriously delusional. Aikido is at best marginal in any defensive application. It is a form based on spiritual refinement and has NOTHING to do with real world application of force on force combatives. The training methods of aikido, its principles and philosophies have nothing to do with modern defensive tactics.

  • @ThehappyhellTime

If you know so much and you don't care about training videos, What the hell are you doing watching training videos on Youtube anyway?!? If you're not willing to contribute something positive to the topic to back up your argument it just means that you're a Big Mouth Trouble Starter. You should be learning to avoid confrontation in your Aikido classes so that just shows the world that you SUCK both as a martial artist and as a person...

  • @ThehappyhellTime did you really just say Aikido for real world defense? Really? Did you really say that for the world to see? Really?

  • @SpartanCombativesGrp /watch?v=h__CdPeJoXo&feature=related

  • @ThehappyhellTime Really pretty dance work with a compliant training PARTNER, delivereing KNOWN attacks. Aikido is bullshit.

  • @SpartanCombativesGrp please don't do martial arts...you are disgrace to all of them.

  • @ThehappyhellTime I didnt even realize you are only 15 years old. My bad. Junior, I have been teaching combatives longer than you have been alive.

  • @SpartanCombativesGrp yeah, and when a 15 year old kid tells you something about you is bad, than its vrely bad ....I learn Aikido as pure self defense and not inner martial art,not all Aikido schools put accent on developing chi energy,I learn how to defeat oponnent on the street with lowest amount of demage as possible....if you teach your students to break bones then you are a bad teacher, they will end up in jail or wors....

  • @ThehappyhellTime Isnt it your bedtime? Go play your xbox squirt, grown men were talking.

  • I like this much more than several other instructional videos. He described why it works and how to do it slowly so you can practice on your own, and proved that it worked by going real time. GREAT :)

  • This video is much better then with knife !!

I think it is about 80% will work in real situation

  • Awesome! I love the how you are ready for either scenario and that it is such natural motion. This is why Bussey Combatives is so good. Master Bussey knows his stuff and he has great teachers like David Smith who he holds in high regard. Great job.

  • the body mech. of these moves are so awing, its just amazing how it falls into play.once again bussey truly is a master of combat.
