  • I want

  • fwd tow truck hhhmmm they never thought that idea through did they lol

  • heh that car is from movee Wrong Turn...ha ha

  • Restore the thing so it runs, but don't fuck with the way it looks. It really tells a story of its life with the old, cracked paint and rust

  • Jeepers Creepers 3.This should be his new truck he drive

  • that truck needs some r&r.

  • that is a piece of history thier my man. that is a dinosuar

  • that truck is creepy as hell, they should have had this truck in that movie Maximum Overdrive

  • put a video of this thing runnin up!

  • @lt1nightmare id love to , it needs to be fixed....

  • @mazda2284 ahh... well if/when it is running id love to hear it!

  • well

    fire it up

    lets go for a ride

  • Those suggesting Oshkosh lineage are probably right, if the badge says FWD. FWD was a company in Oshkosh that was the forebear of the present Oshkosh company. As the name suggests, they specialized in four wheel drive trucks at a time when hardly anybody else made them.

Among their more interesting projects were a full-time 4WD truck w/ no center diff, with four wheel steering so the rears would track on about the same radius as the fronts, and a Miller-built 4WD Indy car, which still exists.

  • @jedgarsquink Upon further research, I need to correct myself. Actually Oshkosh did not come from FWD, and in fact FWD was in Waupaca County, in Clintonville. It was founded in 1909 and built vehicles for the US Army during WWI. Oshkosh was founded in 1917 and has always been a separate entity from FWD.

I was right about the four wheel steer truck and the Indy car, though.

  • nice but wtf is wrong with your mic?

  • dude u should work on it and get it started

  • Awesome.

Would be good to see it running again.

  • I think this the same truck in wrong turn looooool

  • wrong turn ? lol

  • Definitely not a 32. Definitely looks like an Oshkosh Or an A-car, with that set back axle. Autocar always put their 4x4 axles far back to get the weight of the engine over the front axle as much as possible for maximum traction.

  • fwd front wheel drive huh

  • @mrklr650a19 Yeah, that's what i thought to! Where is the most weight of a truck? On the rear wheals, and FWD is slow, you don't want a truck to be slower! What were those engineers thinkin'?

  • @mrklr650a19 Yeah and i forgot to mention, he probably ment four wheal drive with FWD but fwd stands for front wheal drive so he should change the description.

  • man thuis is nice!!!

  • Неужели этот экипаж 1932 года ? А дизайн кабины современен : как будто годов 1970 - 1980 - х !

  • what part of wisconsin?

I'm in the wisconsin rapids area..

  • @carpenterman23 waupaca .. bout 45 minutes away

  • Crank it. :)

  • i would drive it!

  • this truck can be used in Duel -- part deux

  • The creepy look of these old trucks gives 'em character, and keeps them intimidating.

  • alot of these parts are not 30's. but I love this truck regardless lol it's awesome.. something outta the movie Duel

  • @transworld20 An old autocar in the movie !

  • alot of these parts are not 30's. but I love this truck regardless lol it's awesome.. something outta movioe Duel

  • After having worked as a truck mechanic for over 40 years, this truck appears to be out of the 40's...maybe 50's...the cab and axles, axle hubs are the give away...i'll go with a 1949 ...maybe a Federal???....depending on where it is...could be a "Pacific"...a long shot might be an "FWD"...cool rig ..get er runnin...RR

  • @raginroadrunner from what i have heard is that the frame was purchased in 32 and the rest of the truck was built over the next few years ...so it could have many odd year parts lol

  • @mazda2284...If anyone comes across a 1949 "Corbett" twin screw sleeper in cab tractor..please let me know..they were made from 46 to 56...beautiful truck...RR

  • Looks more like a late 40's Oshkosh to me. No way its a 32.

  • any videos of the truck running?

  • Brad, can we get some more videos of this truck? thanks

  • can you share where to old girl is located? I saw more trucks in the back ground! Any Oshkosh?

  • @oshkosh1972 at my house lol ! i should take some new video of it sometime lol , i have over 1000 videos , im in central wisconsin

  • wast of two min

  • wow, i would love to take some photos of this bad boy :)

  • Thats a mad max truck if I ever saw one.

  • No way thats a 1932.......looks more like late 40s........You sure its a 32?

  • @crazeyspivey the frame was bought in 32' and they began constructing it

  • That thing is a,beast

  • yiu either have very tiny hands or that hook is HUGE!!! :D thans for sharing, here in portugal there is no good old iron like that...

  • yeah - leave the exterior as is but fix everythin else - even if ya can get the old winch workin and tow somethin... that would be cool

  • This thing is creepy as hell, lol

  • @blazing64099 lol should see it in person !

  • @blazing64099 not as creepy as you, lol

  • this suck most of the old shit like that should be in a museim cool old truck and good vid thanks for sharing it!

  • @Adamcoleify thanks for watching . i think we should just get it running and maintained , im thinkin it would be a bad idea to restore it at all.

  • @mazda2284 realy cool i like that old truck beast!

  • THAT BEACON LOOKS LIKE A FEDERAL LIGHTING BEACON RAY LIGHT ON THE TOP OF THE WINCH YOU HAVE TO RESTORE THAT TRUCK AND THEN POST IT AGAIN

  • I almost bought one from the '50's to use as a mud truck, but I didn't have the space or resources to properly maintain and store it. A farmer had a 3,000 gallon liquid manure spreader mounted on it and he didn't need it anymore as he bought a new tractor and started using a pull behind spreader.

Yours looks very complete, tho, and would be a nice show piece.

  • man this could be NICE

  • WILL IT START?

  • Otta fix up the run gear, brakes, tires, anything related to the stopping and going. Then leave the rest as is and drive it. I love the way it looks, especially the writing on the doors. It would be a real eye catcher at the shows. Will you sell and mail me that sign on the gate about the footbridge?

  • Defintely 1942 sounds more likely, I have what I'm told is a 1930 SSU with a 1930 dated Waukesha 6 SRL engine, a friend of mine has a 1934 MJ6? model with bigger 6SRK Waukesha engine and full Frink hydraulic plow. Cool truck just the same, you need to save her!

  • You mean 42 not 32? I once almost bought a truck just like this, and that was a '42. I think it was called U series.

  • @KapteinOpel the records say the parts were bought in 1932 and over the next couple years the county department assembled it in waupaca

  • @mazda2284 Check out 4wdonline dot c slash FWD, theres a pic of a '31. I'm pretty sure this is a newer model, its almost exactly like the '42 I encountered. Even the engine seems to be the same, I remember that injection system. Still wonder how it works.. Supercharged Cummins, right?

  • @KapteinOpel its not supercharged , all i know is what the records say . they purchased the frame in 1932 some of the parts may be newer because it was not completed until around 1937 , i checked out that web site , they dont really have the information on there to correctly identify the years , what they dont tell you is that they built many kinds of vehicles on the same frames-drivetrains , lots of them trucks were very custom back then .

  • @mazda2284 I see. Its not unlikely that its built on a '32 chassis, but I'm almost sure the cab and hood is newer. Saw a picture of a '31 on that website, it has a similar appearance but is much more square, like the cars of the time, and the hood is shorter. Also, diesel engines were very uncommon this early, even in Europe. But I read about Clessie Cummins on wikipedia, he was well on his way in '32 so its not impossible that the engine is that old.. If it is, its really worth preserving.

  • If I drove a waupaca truck, would you love me more..Would you bring me diamonds, and hang around my door.....Woman -i tryed so hard just to live my best...

Yer gonna put me in the poorhouse..and you'll take all the rest

    Tom Petty-- Travling Wilburys "Poorhouse.

  • Don't change a thing about how it looks! It's only gonna be original once, and right now it looks like death itself could be in the driver's seat. If it runs good and drives good, then that's all it needs. It can't look any better than it does right now. New paint would just kill it.

  • interesting outlook on that ! my dad was gonna try selling it ... i got pissed off, but at least he decided not to sell it. its a very cool old machine, my dad just wanted to re paint it the original color and re paint the ''waupaca county'' back on the doors

  • I agree, don't paint this old rat... it looks awesome the way it is.

  • @caterpillarnut I realize you posted this comment over 2 years ago and I feel like an idiot replying at all, but what you commented were my thoughts exactly.

  • @counterclockwise123 i also agree at this point n time lol

  • o carro mais antigo

  • Front wheel drive? That's pretty interesting.

  • FWD is the company that made it, its all wheel drive !

  • and its also set up for duals up front !

  • @mazda2284 i seen one of these on a farm i hauled scrap metal from this year with the duals up front and i was in awe. awesome rig man

  • @mkIIIsupras sweet !!! where was that at? this one used to have a dual setup for the front , i wanna restore this thing next summer , the one you seen was it junk or for parts or in nice shape?

  • Keep the video progress coming!!!

  • were gonna pull it out of the weeds this summer and work on it so ill get a video of that soon

  • does it run??

  • yes it runs. just needs alot of work. everything still is in working order , mainly needs paint, and 1-2 windows, i cant remember. there not broke out just cracked. this thing is soooo damn loud, just a straight pipe off the manifold lol, check out my other video's

  • Can you make a video of it running, im into this kind of stuff? What inch pips does it have on it? I am watching them now.

  • cool!!!
