Home Depot is just as corrupt as any small family business, I have been in Lot for near 10 months and even though I do cashier 90% of the time, they pay me as a lot loader and keep me on the lot schedule so not to give me a raise! The lot loader who started 2 months before me only had to do 9 months in lot then he got moved to Paint, but the real kicker is that even though i did more work, im pretty sure he got promoted cause his daddy works there.

thumbs up for you. I made the mistake and actually tried to work here, you know made seem like it was a job but it was nothing more than a mediocre job and a pathetic paycheck! When I was there two years they started me at 7 dollars in hour and two years later I ended up with $7.70 what a joke!

ha ha well at least they are not suck with three tornados next to him. i worked there for about eight months and the managers there are horible. i had to work outside in garden and there was tornado warnings going on and the managers made us stay out side with three tornados surounding us. they wouldnt let us in or out...
so anyway my friend works not at this HD but another one. anyway he's been there for 2 years and they haven't givin him a raise and everyone that comes after him makes more money. what a joke.

Dude, I'm a head cashier and I can drink all I want. They've never told me not to.
I also get good benefits, paid time off, and other things along those lines. My job is a good job. Not only that, but they come with tuition reimbursement from me working there. Sounds like you just got a bum wrap.
well there are there are 3 things I can say to this. and don't take this personally but A)your store is ran by managers that actually treat everyone equally and give everyone respect. B) your some kid who ass kissed his way to where you are today. C) your a manager at a another store and you don't want people thinking home depot blows. I don't really care I mean conincidently the day I left this place my thoughts of suicide went away.

I have a friend who works at HD as a head cashier and she was going to go to a bar with some friends and the managers at HD told her she was not aloud to go because of her position as a head cashier. Oh I didn't know HD ruled the world and can control who ever they want go back to russia you dictating company!

Could be because you have douche bags working at your store? It's not Home Depots fault that your residence is populated by douche bags.
