I just got one, but I would like to know, mine has a lot of hiss, even bypassed... And it change the sound a lot, even bypassed... I know it's not true bypass, but even the boss do not change your sound like that... Maybe mine has a defect...
I tried everywhere (fx loop, before, after pedal, different power supply). I have many good pedal, i didn't like this one. Finally I bought a T-Rex Tonebug Reverb and I'm really happy with it. And it takes no more room (You have to think that the plug are on the side on the Malekko...)
IDK, but i like the spring chickens reverb better, but this 1 is good. I know the memory toy isnt a reverb pedal, but delay could get hallway sounds like reverb to. Im gettin 1 next week. Yay!!!
Could it be this sounds more like a Hall reverb than a Spring reverb? Or maybe it's half-way between the two? Seems like it's a Hall at low levels, then increasingly emulates a Spring at higher levels
The spring chicken was def. a spring rev. emulator . . . maybe this one differs from the Spring Chicken in that manner?
I think these mini pedals are a brilliant idea - I can see someone easily putting together a compact, yet diverse pedalboard for easy travel made up of pedals like this. Beautiful playing as well.
thank you for having a whole clean demo it gets anoying when people just do distorted demos on everything with a silly mid scoop tone so thanks again !!! now to track one of these bad boys down in the uk :/
i prefer non-true bypass time based effects because they allow the effected signal to decay on its own naturally after i bypass the effect. just makes everything sound more fluent, especially if you play in a band with only one guitarist.
@CaptainErn What time-based FX are non-TB nowadays. It seems like every pedal is TB. I'd prefer that too cus most of the time if I used a reverb or echo I'll put it on a setting that I can leave on all the time no matter what I'm playing.
also, just because its non-true bypass doesn't mean it has some crappy tone sucking buffer inside it. Almost all of TC Electronics pedals have buffered bypass, same with Damage Control; and both those companies make the highest quality pedals on the planet. Not all buffers are created equal.
Actually, TC Electronics was one of the first to offer true bypass and they still due on their high-end pedals made in Denmark. Their Chinese line is buffered.
haha thats such a load of bullshit dude. check your facts again. sure they have distributers and branches of the company in various countries (15 to be exact) all products are made in Denmark. They only have roughly 185 employees. No way do they have factories in China or Japan. And to clarify, the all there Nova Pedals except the overdrive distortion has a buffered bypass. This is to increase the pedals flexibility in use; if you wanted to put it after a keyboard or whatnot.
"Dude", I'm a professional musician and I bought my first TC Chorus/Flanger in 1990 which is true bypass and the current version is as well. The entire Nova line is made in China and is their "consumer" line.
Does this reverb keep the dry signal analog?

Great demo awesome sounding pedal. I would like to see a shootout between this one and the original spring chicken though.

Yeah, I hear you. Some pedals offer both via a switch under the hood. Maybe it'll catch on? Take it easy:)
