  • I used to do this back when I first started benching as a kid. I couldn't lift that heavy when I first started off and didn't have a proper bench so I used to just roll the bar on and off of my chest.

    These days I can't do the same for obvious reasons. The weight I do now is much heavier and doing this technique would obviously hurt a lot more now than it did back then.

  • He did pretty good. I do 120kgs and usually in sets of 5 to 7 reps. He had a nice smooth action with a full range of motion. Nothing wrong with doing a set of 7 reps @ 95kgs. Good job getting out from under the bar too. I've been caught under the bar without a spotter and it's pretty terrifying.

But judging by the low rating it has received, I guess I overestimated the intelligence of the general pubic once again.
