Yes, well even some of those songs are live. There are slight mistakes he makes in those songs like Lucia di Lammermoor. Either that, or he had recorded some songs for live concert, like I think Blessed Guru was lipsynced (he took out the mic and nothing happened). Sometimes it has playback but he sings along with it. Vitas is pretty bad at lipsync and he often speaks out the lyrics to prevent himself from lagging behind (it's quite disappointing to hear, see Star in Qingdao)
TV performances are nearly always lipsync. He sings badly in those to save his voice for live concerts like this. This is why some of the "Vitas is fake" recordings sound a lot like him because they are him performing on TV, only edited to fit with a live concert recording. Russian singer Alexander Novikov used this as evidence that Vitas is a fraud, but it is clear that he also overlayed an impersonator's voice over it. Vitas' real live voice can be heard in the background.

it isn't just the parts where he swings the mic and the vocal skips that proves this is live, it's that at 3:38 you can hear him WITHOUT the microphone, and the crowd is reacting to that as well. It's often hard to hear this because most cameras (regardless of good or bad sound quality) are bad at picking up high voices. This is a poor quality video and in other parts of the video it couldn't pick up his voice, but at 3:38 it definitely did.
@PahangDragonbird I like these earlier concerts where Vitas sings a lot of the song without the mic. Nowadays he points the mic that just to get the audience to sing, so you can't hear him without the mic. He often moves the mic away so he can take a breath.
Still this video proves no doubt he sings LIVE. I heard his voice without the mic during Nessun Dorma, La Donna Mobile, O Sole Mio, Tibetan Plateau, and some other songs, and it was in perfect pitch!

yeah, watch Smile in Xian 2009 his unamplified voice there is INCREDIBLE. Also Opera 1 in that concert he moves the mic away and nothing happens LOL, I almost thought it was lipsync but of course not. The microphone was really sensitive in that concert. LOL

It's not possible for it to be a soundboard switching an acapella on-off, because Vitas sometimes keeps his mouth shut and doesn't sing a verse.

I don't think he is lip synching here...For a person who had learned opera singing, you can still hear their voices although the mic is held 10 inches away from them. That's why we can hear Vitas voice when he held his mic away.
During practices, the vocal teacher will stand far away & they need to sing loud and clear enough so that the teacher can hear. And that is without mic... this shows they really gotta have strong vocal and stamina before standing on stage!! It's really hard work!

You do realise that whoever filmed this was almost certainly close enough to hear his unamplified voice when he moved the mic completely out of range? Lip Syncing or not... He has to have sang it at some point. Which is in itself a feat. It is very difficult to sing. Even for someone with a five octave + vocal range... Not him... Me. He didn't even need to do that, you can hear that his vibrato sounds different from the recorded version. Different frequency. So it was obviously not the same exact version as the record. Although i guess he could STILL be lip-syncing over a re-recorded version. A lot of trouble when he could have just put the original record, and done the mic gimmick.

he's definitely not lip-synching. The high notes part is much higher than the original for some reason. I can feel it coz I felt abit disturbed by that high pitch on this one. And he seems tired in this concert. Perhaps too tired of people's questioning about his high pitch voice. His voice is real for sure.

If you aren't a singer of official producers you have no chance to stay on stage for long time.Producers who control russian show business did everything to cancel his career but he survived and I respect him.What concerns lip syncs.I can show you a video where S.Dion lip syncs & i can remind you that Spears, Madonna were caught lip syncing.

Also if he is so great how come he never sings anywhere except Communistic countries? It's no secret 90% of Russian pop-singers never sing live, much less leave the country. Besides that in all of his concerts he's always dancing and moving around, yet his voice remains completely stable, which is physically impossible, no matter how you train. There are many out there who attends his concerts and they all said it was overrated and lipsynced but I guess people like you are clearly easily duped.

The gills are SPECIAL EFFECTS. You can clearly see in his music video "The Star" that his neck has no sign of gills.

he has some enemies in russia, you know some people dislike it when you earn good money. The rumours that he is lypsinching began when he started to be famous. When he couldn't sell tickets on his concerts(it was in the beggining of his career) newspapers laughed at him,when he started earning money he was attacked with stupid articles in newspapers(someone ordered them)

He didn't even need to do that, you can hear that his vibrato sounds different from the recorded version. Different frequency. So it was obviously not the same exact version as the record. Although i guess he could STILL be lip-syncing over a re-recorded version. A lot of trouble when he could have just put the original record, and done the mic gimmick.

There are many people who, understandably, questioned publicly whether he was actually singing. They accused him of lipsyncing - and also of being a eunich. He chose to prove he was not lipsyncing - and the best way to do that is to show. It's annoying, but I bet it also annoying to have people saying your gift is a lie. That'd suck real bad.

all singers lip sync sometimes. however not at concerts.too many things can go wrong and no sane performer would do that. if you are singing on a tv show then fine..not too many singers come with a full orchestra to sing one song...he has a voice that is a fine tumed instrument. i wish he would just sing & stop trying to prove he isn't faking it. the folks who don't believe he's singing never will and aren't important because they will never go to a concert or buy a cd.

he's definitely not lip-synching. The high notes part is much higher than the original for some reason. I can feel it coz I felt abit disturbed by that high pitch on this one. And he seems tired in this concert. Perhaps too tired of people's questioning about his high pitch voice. His voice is real for sure.

There is a video on youtube that I saw where he CLEARLY was lipsynching, I think he was in China and he was wearing a very Michael Jackson looking suit.

Yes, I know, but the audience someitmes gets excited and likes to sinng him! It's good he's giving them an opportunity. And I think the screaming in this concert sounds different from the MV and other performances...A bit more highpitched. 4:16 you can totally tell it's real. I know there are some videos where you can tell he's lip synching, this is just not one.

2.02 he sings away from the mic yet it is still relatively picked up because of the way a microphone works, yet at 2.23 when he spins the mic the sound completely cuts, it looks rather timed, im not saying he isnt a skilled singer i just think he has a "little" assistance on the high range parts

What are you talking about? he moves the mic around quite a bit and even says thank you in the middle of the song! there's no way he could fake his performance. even hit the mic off his chest. and makes a speech. plus, the quality on youtube is shit, so you wouldn't be able to tell any detail of any of it anyways.
