Any CBX owner knows the 81/82 models are referred to as a pro link. Few know more about CBX's than Tims. It has a 81/82 swing arm (again referred to as pro link) modified with shock mounts and an 81/82 front fork and brakes. 39mm forks rather than 35mm, twin piston calipers and vented disks. Much better front end and brakes.
I used to use the pro link front end but now have CBR600 41mm forks on my 79 turbo cbx.
Pro-Link suspension? Err...I think you'll find that's a twin shock model, numb nuts! Pro-Link only came in on the CBX on the later, "Sports Touring" model. As for "front and rear"...how can you have Pro-Link suspension on the FRONT of a bike? In over 28 years of riding, I've never once seen that!
is this system made in the US or a PowerFlow system out of South Africa? I have a KZ 1300 I am restoring and another that I want to customize with a big bore kit and 6:6 pipes etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated
@aguiristante Eh? This model CBX never had Pro Link in the first place! How could it be modified to take twin shocks?? Twin shocks were standard on this model, it was never an option! In any case, why would anyone modify a Pro Link set up to take twin shocks, when the Pro Link is a superior option, in terms of handling? Also...what the hell are "Pro Link front discs"? Durr!
It's a perfect machine.
