I think that GT had some nice ideas (Super Saiyan 4 and the idea of the Shadow Dragons) but they were all brought out poorly. I'm not saying GT was bad more like they didn't make use of those ideas well enough. And the fact that ki blasts were highly overused and overpowered i.e Oceanus Shenron was destroyed by a single kamehameha fired by a 1/4 Saiyan and O. shenron didn't even bother dodging it
i like to think at the end of z vegeta got ss3 becuase he made it seem like when he and goku would fight at the tournament at the end it would be really spectacular. its never confirmed but its very slightly hinted at and I like to think he made it. after all between the kidbuu fight and that tournament at the end it was like 10 years.

the only flaw with DBZ and the movies is that Vegeta never really saves the day. he just fights looks awesome and then gets the shit kicked out of him. when perfect cell killed trunks and vegeta attacked i thought he would fuck cell up. i just wish he killed a major villian even in the movies thats his in he makes big entrances and then gets his ass kicked. if i wanted anything from GT it was vegeta save the fucking day.

He has that I don't care about the world mentality and I feel if he ever got the chance to defeat a villain and save the day, It would ruin his whole anti hero, arrogant prick image. As for Recoome and Burter, they were DEFEATED (beat up) by Goku, but he didn't actually kill them. Vegeta finshed them each off with an energy blast while they were unconscious. As for Ginyu, I was mistaken. Ginyu wasn't killed by Vegeta in DBZ, but in TeamFourStar's abridged series, he was, which I somehow mixed up with REAL DBZ accidently. Silly me =P

@DarkHuricanex I think it was meant to be that way. one of the main themes of DBZ is being selfless, thats why you always see gohan or goku winning because they always faught for others while vegeta always faught for himself and his pride

@BlackBladeSamurai I have to agree you know. GT wasn't as good as Dragon Ball Z but it certainly wasn't bad, there were plot problems, but there were plenty of those in Z as well. Plus GT had a lot of emotion in it from what I remember, especially in the short, but wonderful Super 17 saga. The only real problems I have with it is what happened to Picollo and I don't like the design for Super Saiyan 4, but I didn't really like super saiyan 3 so that's splitting hairs

The only reason I haven't watch all of Kai is it is just basically the same as the orignal DBZ with no fillers and shorter episodes. @kicksntuass Well the only problem with that is that you need a tail to reach SSJ4. Goku had special training from the Kai's and Vegeta used a machine made by Bulma to grow out his tail. So it woulden't work out like that.

Think about it after the frieza saga nothing made sense anymore. the original task was to collect dragon balls. one they killed frieza you dont hear much of them anymore. I honestly don't think GT was that bad. Sure it wasn't as good as DBZ but it was able to move the plot along quickly, it was if anything a nice contrast to Z plus gave some closure.

Z ending goku goes off to train uub, so he can be the next defender of the earth when goku dies, in fact,
Z was better, it ended with a tradition to be handed down from defender to defender so earth would be safe GT was "goku is all we will ever need, when he dies were screwed"

@Aiiwolf Well if it makes you feel any better I havn't watched all of Kai. I have watched all the original DB series in its entirety from DB, DBZ, and DBGT. The only reason I haven't watch all of Kai is it is just basically the same as the orignal DBZ with no fillers and shorter episodes. Point is I have already seen all of the DBZ series so Kai is kinda pointless to me. Maybe not to new generation fans, but to long time fans of the series like me its all the same stuff with a new coat of paint

A true fan huh? Hmm, well, I'm a huge fan, but I wouldn't like DBZ Kai. Nor should anyone else, since Kai butchered like half of the series. They went as far as Cell, because Buu Saga pointless? Shortening something doesnt make a series good, it only pisses of the fans that followed it from the beginning. I heard funimation wants to release DB, DBZ (Original, Remastered, & Kai), and GT on Blu-Ray. That would be the complete edition and worth having.

And for those who hate the fact that the whole series revolves around goku, get over it! Goku was the main character in DB and it would be stupid if he wasn't in the other shows. Besides, he didn't defeat every bad guy by himself. He beat radditz with piccolo. Gohan and krillin helped him defeat vegeta. Vegeta kept everyone alive against freeza until goku came.

@kicksntuass Well the only problem with that is that you need a tail to reach SSJ4. Goku had special training from the Kai's and Vegeta used a machine made by Bulma to grow out his tail. So it woulden't work out like that.

Think about it after the frieza saga nothing made sense anymore. the original task was to collect dragon balls. one they killed frieza you dont hear much of them anymore. GT stuck with the same plot throughout the whole series

I honestly don't think GT was that bad. Sure it wasn't as good as DBZ but it was able to move the plot along quickly, it was if anything a nice contrast to Z plus gave some closure.
