@cheynos15 I actually bought the car for $300. It was rusted and sunk into a field on a farm. Rescued it and spent a couple years fixing it up. Total cost to date is around $7000 and a lot of hours.
This engine is carbureted. To answer you question aboiut how to do efi, you would need a manifold with a throttle body. You'd need all the related sensors to run it and a stand-alone fuel management system like megasquirt or haltech. It takes quite a bit of research but lots of people convert these to efi.
no problem man, im lookin to get into a 68 toyota im gonna go out and look at it tomorrow i hope its in alright shape..need me a little project car..yours is very sharp year?
This one is a 1974. It has been about 3 years so far from when I found it rusted and sinking into the earth near a farm. This is the 14th one I have owned. Good luck on getting your next project!
Sweet whip, dude! I've been to the Dominican Republic a bunch of times and cars like this are a dime a dozen down there. You can beat the crap out of them and they keep on going. They pretty much drive them the way you described yours when you found it. Most of them also run them on propane tanks because they can't afford gasoline. Nice job getting it back into shape. I wish you the best of luck with it.
it is awsome car.we're bought this car about 8 years ago.i have also learnt driving on this car.awesome
