  • Puh der kann etwass

  • Son of Gary Moore XD

  • PLEASE!, I love Vinnie's tone in this video, what amp is he using?, what kind of pedals?. THANK YOU.

  • Wow, this was my first instructional video..I still use alot of these practice routines, today. It's still amazing to me..He is def one of the best...Rock on Vinnie..

  • Vinnie invented playing shred guitar with pure feeling.

  • Anyone Scene Brian May lately?

  • OMG! I wore this video out back in 1989. Very good instructional when he finally stops pleasuring himself and starts showing you stuff.

  • Where is the rest?

  • I wish, my playing was like that. Writing is my thing the songs just pop into my head but finding the cords. that baffles me. This guy knows scales and all the jazz. How do you play like that?. This guys got my respect. Here is the thing can he make a rift that people want to hear?. I 'm not that good but I got a couple. Your an outstanding guitarist. Create.

  • @museken listen to vinnie moore's "meltdown"... you're welcome

  • Oh the memories. I actually learned a lot from this video... then, forgot it all when I stopped caring about shredding. Nothing wrong with shredding, it's great, but I'll leave it up to guys who are GOOD at it. I was only ever "decent". Would rather be a riffmachine, than a shredmeister.

Vinnie is indeed teh mahn tho.

  • holy crap

  • I wish Vinnie still sounded this good. He sounds like someone trying to play Vinnie now instead of himself. I wish he'd go back to his old picking technique

  • @clovis2012 I think he was forced to change his picking technique because his arm was messed up. I heard him talking about it in some video. I wish I could rip like that for just one day

  • Wow, his playing is almost as awesome as his hair!!!

    (jokes aside, this dude rips!!!)

  • fucking clean!!!

  • good exercise.

  • legato is awsome!!!

  • tab?

  • Anyone remember a Vinnie Moore Guitar Player Magazine “Sound Page" from the mid-to-late 1980s? Specifically, I'm thinking of the one on which he demonstrates arpeggios. He starts out playing them ridiculously sloppy. Next you hear a pause then Vinnie says, "Just kidding." He then proceeds to shred into next week. Classic.

  • @XenoType008 I think it's mostly the quality of the upload but yeah, it certainly hurts more than most tones.

  • what scale are good for shredding please tell me>????

  • @lyrrad999 Definitively the Phrygian scale. I love this scale. Or mixolydian, harmonic, phyrgiian diminished, hirajoshi, pentatonic, blues...you could shred with any scale.

  • @lyrrad999 If you know scales, then it's a good start already

  • The Brooklyn Malmsteen. Cin-Don!

  • Slash made 27 accounts to dislike this.

  • @jarkanciofan y u hating on slash?

  • @pokerdogZ well maybe because he's one of the most overrated guitarists out there along with kirk hammett ._.

  • @jarkanciofan why would he??I think he can apreciate other good guitar players

  • @jarkanciofan why slash!?

  • @jarkanciofan so stupid comment :(

  • Comment removed

  • i laugh every time @1:02 Vinnie hits that nasty bend and throws his head back with it as if to say "I'll just leave this here..."

  • Some of the cleanest and most melodic playing ever here..

  • it almost hurts knowing ill never be this good lol

  • Damn, this tone sounds exactly the same as Jason Becker's tone in the Pagainini 5th Caprice video.

  • There are many guitar guys here in youtube as well in the real world, guitar9-online magazine was always a good spot to search for "hidden" virtuosos, but Vinnie has a special technique really i think noone can refuse this.

I like many names but Vinnie is different I dont know.

  • So clean and so underrated

  • thumbs up if you enjoyed the fretboard rather than his face

  • I just saw Vinnie play last night and he blew my mind, also got him to sign my guitar really nice guy and awesome player.....one of the best around......

  • Effortless!

  • i ... dont.. believe it :DDD

  • Well his guitar tone is shit!

  • the best!!!!

  • Thumbs up if you noticed that this is the same place Marty friedman shot his instructional video! :D

  • @NuClearEra1 All the "hot licks " tapes

  • ta bueno muy buena tecnica

  • I cant play anywhere near as good as that even with no distractions, let alone while balancing a fluffy dog on my head!!!

  • anybody got the guitar tab for this?

  • 25 people wish they could play like vinnie

  • @jimmyhobbit I still wish I could play like Vinnie

  • @jimmyhobbit it is now 27....lol

  • @Steveman1981 Lol.........

  • @jimmyhobbit Yeah. i really wished. :(

  • @jimmyhobbit 25 people who disliked this wish they could play like Vinnie, but 859 who liked this doesn't? Lol the joke's on you!

  • @Finjuniper go fuck yourself dickhead

  • @jimmyhobbit Haha y u so mad?

  • @Finjuniper cause u r a fag

  • @jimmyhobbit No, you're just a stupid kid

  • @Finjuniper Fuck Off

  • @jimmyhobbit No I'm jerking off C:

  • @jimmyhobbit LOL so u mean u dont want :D ? because they dislike thats mean they want play like him ? hmm I must dislike this video then

  • somebody said clean picking technique?

  • my brain hurts but my ears are happy

  • I wonder if he still can play that today oO

  • Ho wdoes he get such an amazing picking tone!!! it's so chunky, yet smooth.

  • Hello Beginners! Today we are gonna learn this!

  • Vinnie, Paul Gilbert, Reb Beach, Kotzen, way better today, they managed to add groove and soul to all their shred.

  • Vinnie is not really a very tall person... but the truth is he is a GIANT among guitar players. I have seen him many times and he remains a pivotal guy in what most guys would like to schieve in rock guitar. Melodic, Fast and an awesome writing machine.

  • Japanese people always tell me "Blackmore is the father of Heavy Metal music".

No, he isn't. The original heavy metal guitarist was none but Jimi Hendrix. Blackmore is the most influential person for another genre "shred guitar". That's for sure.

  • @rainriders

You can see why people would say Blackmore, what with the leather jacket, the bad attitude, heavy riffs, and the fast solos. Pretty much the archetype of heavy metal...

The same goes for Tony Iommi, the real father of metal.

But Jimi Hendrix. The man conjures images of bright colours, peace, love, fuzz, and cannabis.

Sure his playing was loud and wild, but his lyrics were not. Metal simply hadn't been created.

This idea that everything starts and ends with Hendrix is nonsense.

  • @ExtremeBogom "Heavy Metal Music was born when Jimi recorded Foxy Lady" -Judas Priest's guitarist. The word "Heavy Metal" was first used by Rock journalism in an article about JH Experience concert. I still respect your opinions and I can agree with some of your points. cheers

  • @rainriders

Ya, as has been mentioned numerous times by others... the same with Steppenwolf, captain beefheart, lord baltimore, blue cheer bla bla bla.

Your talking about the evolution, the history..

Heavy Metal as we know it today, was fully realised by Black Sabbath.

    Artists before just provided precursors.

You really shouldn't be so gullible.

Just because some journalist said Jimi's band sounded like "Metal falling from the sky" doesn't make it metal. That's hyperbole.

  • @ExtremeBogom I'm talking about the founder, the guy who initiated the process of Heavy Metal evolution. The terminology "heavy metal" was originally made to describe Jimi's performance, nothing else. Youtubers say Iommi, but I've got Judas Priest guitarist and Yngwie Malmsteen on my side, lol

  • @rainriders

Well now things are more clear, it seems we agree how things evolved, and became *Heavy Metal*.

As for Hendrix actually creating it?.. I still think your nuts, but hey that's fine, were all entitled to our opinions after all.

  • @rainriders Tony Iommi.

  • If you could eat his chops, you would be obese in a matter of days.

  • Vinnie rules,

  • That is some clean playing!

  • He looks like a 1970's Gino Vanelli

  • Effortless!

  • Mind´s eye. A must have LP:)

  • @Mr4000killer

Hell yeah!! I still have the original vinyl and play it frequently :D

  • This guy is definetly in my top 20 guitarists. It sounds not so good but when mixed up with Hendrix, Yngwie, Iommi, Buckethead, Dave Murray etc. you must be fucking great to match. I love his 80s albums, among the best beautiful shred guitar ever.

  • He makes angry face at 0:22

  • quite possibly the worst guitar tone ever for a amazing plaeyer

  • pure shred

  • at 1:29 ... strong knuckles

  • seriously the best guitar player on the planet. i dont care what anyone says

  • He absorbs the power of the universe through his fro and directs all of its energy into playing the guitar.

  • @Shi7Disc0 epic comment. peed my pants

  • @Shi7Disc0

That's more than one fro. Fuck it's like a fro for each surface on his head. Just goes to show that picking as clean as this is only achieved through massive 80's hair

  • @Shi7Disc0 LMMFBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • At 1:35 he's playing fusion jazz I think. Wild incredible!

  • The quality of the sound is just awesome.

This man is really good, wonder why I have never heard him before.

  • @mrbrain30 Probably the same why you've surely never heard of Dave Uhrich.... ^_^

  • Guitar mathematics...genius.

  • His playing is almost as awesome as his hair

  • Mullet of the Year 1987

  • @currentriverpat

Nah come on, the Vinman would never sport a mullet. His hairdo was so puffy back then lol, the back cover of Mind's Eye still amazes me.

  • @currentriverpat it's a perm :P

  • ccool

  • i wish the 80s would come back!

  • soft and clear notes , it's like ear sex :D

  • I could listen/watch him go on like this for hours...

  • I have this instructional video ...... one of the bests from the mid 1980s

  • look at his facial expression hahahahahaha

  • @AngryLlamaz thats feeling of deep penetration of music up the rectum of your soul

  • He makes it look easy, the sign of a master.

  • How can someone play that clean!? Amazing!!!

  • Awsome! the big hair era and VHS V.S. Beta Video tapes that get worse with age hahaha. I do love digging up this old footage though there is just so much good stuff out there from these old lessons.

  • the tone he has makes his playing feel smooth and relaxed even though its intense shredding, sounds awesome ha

  • must be great at fingering chicks

  • His faces remind me of an Old Spice commercial

  • he sucks!!!...........he sucks because hes too awsome! the awsomeness cant be handled or dealt with so now he sucks...shut up everyone dont try to insult me! if your too awsome then you suck...

  • aaa

  • this man is fantastic !!! top guitarrist i love your song vinnie moore !!!

  • his alternate picking and sweeping is fantastic

  • I don't know what Prairie Sun is but it sounds really hardcore.

  • what model of ibanez is that ?

  • 0:28 is the beginning of the new world order.

  • listened and I imagine myself fly in the sky..brilliant guitarist

  • amazing, one of the best ever ! so few players can speed up / slow down like that so seamlessly....

  • my god

    so CLLEAAAAEAEAEAEAEEEAAEaEAEEAENNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!

  • Me think he is underrated. He play better than many of the so called "gods".

  • @Nevigo It's because the music he composes is not that as appealing to many compared to those of other more "famous" guitarists. There aren't a lot of people who appreciate skill.

  • @ralphM1114

    I think so too.:)

  • So smooth, fast and precise. Guys a genius !

  • The Vinster!!!

  • godamn it he just makes it look effortless

  • His hair looks the same as Brian May's hair.

  • Vinnie's legato is just beautiful. D:

  • you know, its so hard to find "THOSE" guitarists, the ones that when you listen to them you just say "WOW, this guy ......gets it" you know, where you just realize he gets music

  • holy fucking shit, i love all Vinnie's works, the most soulful guitarrist ever!!!

check the Mind's Eye and The Maze Albums, your head will explode!!

  • @manuelink64 The Maze is my favorite guitar instrumental album of all time. "King of Kings" Is probably my favorite song by Vinnie and it's also my ringtone.

  • straight mastering the pivot point! hate to bug but is there a website i could jock this tab off of?

  • @xxxjjay13 Possibly songsterr/com. (Replace the slash with a dot.)

  • agreed

  • Awesome stuff. Yeah, those are some insane legato runs.

  • I wish I could play those insane legato runs.

  • no feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @oldschoolaxeslinger Does the title say "Vinnie Moore Plays With a Ton of Feeling"? No.

  • @UnknownSect333 wow, your totally right. it doesnt say that!Igatta start reading my titles more often.

  • I wish my picking hand was that good. I still say the picking hand is way harder to master than the fretting hand.

  • este wn que es bueno l

  • master!

  • Hi my name's Vinnie Moore and my fingers don't even need to touch the guitar to create orgasmic music.

  • One of the more musical neo-classical guys in my opinion. Bravo Vinnie!

  • So this is advanced...? i think I will stick with it..i have some more learning to do

  • @bailey536 I'd consider this a little beyond advanced... haha.

  • UN FUCKING BELIEVABLE..... this guy is insane, wow

  • I think this guy is awesome. I give him thumbs up! great guitar playing dude

I know of a very good guitar player on u tube that we think deserves more recognition

  • @TheKcufttub

Wtf, this guy is Italian. That's his heritage, not French.

Quit hating on the French anyway.

  • @TheKcufttub You're an idiot. You're just jealous he kicks your ass at life.

  • Vinnie is absolutely amazing at guitar, but i feel hes his and other shreders skill are not completly out of reach

  • Went 2 a seminar of his in 87.He did the mind's eye album over a recording of all track's other than 1 of the harmony's and the solos'.It was freaky.Nice guy 2.Too bad this vid cut's short.

  • His "soul" faces are so funny.

  • ghehe, never knew he played with Ibanez :D

  • Wow, his tone kinda sucked but he plays better than Yngwie....well...to my ears.

  • @1971SuperLead -lots more diversity to his playing imo, if you've heard about 3 of Yngwies good solos, you've heard them all

  • unreal
