  • I am on Seasonique and have been for about four years now (I was 18). Since then my skin has really cleared up, though I credit part of that to using Alba Botanica Hawaiian facewash and moisturizer. The trick with using those products, at least for me, was to stick with using them faithfully, twice a day (never washing my face with regular soap). Anyhow, you did wonderful videos and I want you to know that you are really inspiring and lovely lady already =).

  • I know first hand of how painful and aggravating acne can be, so my heart goes out to you. Throughout the years, I had tried everything to clear up my skin. It wasn't until recently that I finally composed a skin care routine that works for me. I just posted a video about my regimen, however, I know that everyone's skin is different. You have a positive attitude and that overrides any acne you have! Stay strong!

  • Hi!! im going on yasmin after my period and i wanna know if it helped cledar your skin up?

  • I realllyyyy have to comment because i just want to let you know what an inspiration you are to me. I have struggled with acne for about a year, proactiv, tca peels. nothing really cured it. Having acne is suchhhh a horrible thing i never go out, i never do anything anymore, its depressing, but you are so confident with it. its something im not strong enough to do. its amazing, and your beautiful inside and out!<3

  • Acne and scarring sucks so much. My face is jacked up, with dark spots mostly otherwise I look decent, and I've had acne for 7 years I just want to get rid of it so I can have peace before I get old. I'm only 19 by the way lol. Oh and nice video your pretty.

  • You are beautiful!

  • i can relate! i really dont have breakouts anymore but i have like some of the same scaring on my cheeks!

I am now using raw black soap of expoliate my skin also im using proactive. some may say that is a little harsh but its really helping havent had any bad proactive sympoths yet!

  • u look like left eye frm tlc

  • You are a true inspiration. I have suffered from acne for 13 years now and although it is not as bad as before it still really effects my confidence and can be really depressing at times, but u are right it is about accepting the problem and loving yourself and not letting others make u feel ugly or crap about yourself. Your video / advice has made me feel so much better about myself. Thank you. Xxx

  • omg you are so awesome, i totally relate to u, love ya gurl!

  • I like this video because I'm very insecure about my skin and my mom tells me all the time I am who I am and I cannot change that and that I'm still pretty. She said real person that loves u wont judge u for that but I cant help it sometimes. I know this video is old but Im still commenting lol

  • thanks you :)

  • youre gorgeous

    you have a beautiful attitude

i just came off accutane and my skin is wonderful and the dermotologist said its not likely to return :)

    xx

  • I wish I had your self-esteem, I have had acne for so long... I am about to turn 24 and I am still not comfortable in my skin and it is b/c of my acne, If I can get my face under control I feel like I could do anything... I am going broke trying to find something that works and keeps me acne free and something that will fade my dark spots from all the scars... I have not tried acutane but I guess the reward might out weigh the risk

  • well done for your attitude!

  • this video helped me alot..very inspirational ..thanky ou

  • did your breasts get bigger after taking the birth control pills? I am thinking of taking the pill for my acne but dont want to go any bigger!

  • thats herpes girls

  • Right on. I like your attitude

  • lol 1:26 ur funny and i admire u, u have nice skin now ur very pretty =)

  • Your skins not even that bad and your so pretty

  • your still beautiful

  • there's this product called Benzaclin, and trust me,it really,REALLY works.you need a prescription for it so go to your dermotoligist, and this soap bar that is called pear,or any soap that is for either dry or oily skin depending on what kind of skin you have, always use a facial scrub every other week, trust me it works, accutane really is good too,but like you said its normal and everyone has it,its no big your still a very VERY cute girl.

  • really helpful to know u keep your confidence. thanks

  • Hey, your video is inspirational and you have a great outlook and attitude about life. I am currently doing the acne free in 3 days program and I am on the third day. Things are looking better, but with this whole cleansing process I do believe if this does work it will still take a couple of more days to see results. I will definitely keep you posted on my progress.

  • The only thing that ever really caused me to break out was Oxycontin. Love the pills but its not worth the zits, so I quit.

  • you are a really beautiful girl.

  • my sister took yaz we both suffer from acne, yaz takes about three months before you notice any change. i tried yaz and my heart and chest was hurting so badly that i could hardly breathe, strangely enough my acne is treated pretty easily i use clearsil face wash and the cleansing wipes thingy its only when i get lazy that i break out really badly and around my monthly of course, but good luck i really hope something works out for you. your story is really inspiring.

  • i like how to talk u inspired me lol. whats your star sign? u sound like an ariesXDDDDDD

  • i'm about to start yaz this week for acne. i hope it works.

my mom doesn't want to put me on accutane because of some of the side effects.

  • You are such an inspiration. I've been suffering from moderate acne for 5 months now. Before I had acne, I had completely clear skin. I was quite depressed over my skin because I've recieved comments on how terrible my acne is.

Thanks for giving me hope and confidence. You're my inspiration.

    (:

  • thanks for sharing your story

it sucks because ever since i turned 11 and im now 14 i have had acne and the scarring is so dark and i dont know what to do. My doctors are being quite shady, only giving me these creams that do nothing.

Acne stuffs up my self-esteem but you give me confidence

    x

  • I've had acne for 2/3 of my entire life. one day i didn't and the next I did. literally. I came home from school one day and my face started itching really bad. It lasted several hours. The next day, my first pimple. Haven't had a day where my skin was completely clear since. The self consciencness has simmered down with age. The best thing i've found so far after trying everything under the sun is hot as I can stand it water and a hot towel twice daily. I still get em, but not as bad.

  • Yasmin makes my skin look great but I get severe abdominal pains as a side effect!

  • Just started taking Yaz - it had made my face break out worse, and I only have mild acne. Is it going to clear up? I'm confused. What do you think?

  • Don't take that yaz poison! trust me! my friend got a major blood clot after only taking it for 4 months!!! it raises ur potassium levels n it's not good 4 ya! Stay far away! Instead, take somethin like ortho tri cyclen lo which is less harsh on the body!

  • Thanks, girl! :-D This video was very inspiring to me.

  • I swear your story is like a mirror image of my life. I really appreciate you sharing this. You've given me a little more confidence. Thanks!!

  • thnx for posting that video it helps me hearing people telling their own stories and be so confident. ive been battling with acne since 13.Now im 17 still trying to get rid of spots..........

  • hey was it your dermatologist that prescribed the birth control? cause I've been trying to get my physician to do it and all he says is that I have to see the obgyn regardless if the dermatologist recommends it.. its frustrating because I've had acne since the 5th grade and I feel like it's holding me back big time from the things I want to do.

  • Having acne really does sux...

But i must say... i enjoy watching u telling ur story... its like a reflection of myself.

Ive suffered so much from it.. but then I have also learned so much. Im a soph in college now n i started having acne when i was in middle school. Its been too long girl.. nothing worked for me. its like a come and go kindna thing.

Well, i just wanna letchu know that I think ur beautiful and ur confidence is great. Acne doesnt kill what i c, as well as others, in u =)

  • you are awesome. im 34 with acne! and it doesnt stop anything. i love your confidence. i am totally comfortable with me also. breakouts are annoying, but hey, life goes on. thank you!!!!!

  • you're an awesome girl, thanks for the vid :)

  • aww you're too nice. its great to see that people like you still exist today. your words made my day.

  • i too suffer from ance..and i have pcos, which you talked about in part 1. i have try every product possiable....till i got pregnant. i'm 5 months now and my acne have cleared up sooooooo much. but up until my fifth month i had the worst ance of my life.

the video was great..thanks for sharing

  • wow my acne story is very similar to yours except my mom refused to let me try accutane...im a freshman in college now and i am still struggling with acne. However, i have been taking zinc supplements as well as folic acid and it has cleared it up quite a bit.

  • @Macjunkie121 Have you tried herbs.

  • acne is hormonal almost hundred percent. drink a lot of green tea and take sulphur tablets. I have severe cystic acne which broke out all the time but this with some other things are helping a lot. I have to have confidence cause my dad owns a store at pacific beach in the board walk and i have to work every day in the summer, with having to talk to hundreds of hot girls every day.

  • I also suffer from acne. I know there are some days I feel really confident and I'll go out without worrying about how my face looks but sometimes there are others when I feel like staying in my room all day so I don't have to look at myself. But I feel like I'm slowly getting back on the horse and beginning to feel better about myself again. Now I know I'm not the only one who has had tonnes of trouble with acne! C:

I'm glad you don't let it bother you because you are so pretty!

  • Hey..

I'm glad to hear that you have the confidence. because I don't. I have a lot of scars and I always break out. my doctor told me that I might need to take birth control. I'm scared of actually taking it. I can't go any where without make-up. I feel like the whole world is just looking at my acne.. both my grandpa and mom had acne as teenagers.. over the counter products are not working for me at all. I wash my face twice a day but my face won't clear up..

  • If antibiotics dont work, Ask your doctor to take isotretinoin.storng pills. You have to be patient though. It brings all you scne out and u should get beter after 3 months. its the closet to the cure of acne

  • you go girl!

  • have you tried drinking...? I dont know what it is with alcohol, but it has helped clear my skin out. I have noticed if I drink a martini or two or three sometimes my skin looks alot better the next day it has worked for me... dosen't hurt to try :):)

  • LOL, you can't be serious

  • @KarlaBMV actually i have noticed that after a night out of drinkin my skin looks better as far as acne......and im not kidding

  • @KarlaBMV i know what you mean... it sounds really ridiculous but the day after going out and having a few drinks my skin always looks better. and my skin is usually horrible

  • @KarlaBMV i know what you mean... it sounds really ridiculous but the day after going out and having a few drinks my skin always looks better. and my skin is usually horrible

  • i love you!

  • LOL thank you!

  • Hey i like you have gone through struggles, i dont have the scarring like you do but im starting to see the scars and its freaking me out wondering when it will go away. It affects my confidance majorily. You are hot. Have you ever looked at your diet?

  • Yea, its just a internal hormonal struggle. BUT my derm makes this FAB bleach that I am now using on the dark spots. Slowly but surely...

  • @BlackGyrl87 Use tumeric and yogurt face mask, it will lighten your blemishes, its take about 4 weeks to start seeing a big difference, but both yogurt and tumeric are excellent for skin. check out how to do it on google.

  • i might have that cyst problem.

i get little hairs and i get pimples.

not extremely bad, but i have pimples.

could you tell me more about that disease?

  • I love your video. I see my acne from a whole new perspective now... thanks to you. Great inspiration! I really want to give accutane a try, but at the same time I'm not down for any negative long term effects. And I know that I can't take it forever and as soon as I stop taking it, its going to come back. I definately don't want to start college with my acne lookin this bad. Hopefully it subsides a bit!

  • Yea, If I had followed my doctor's directions regarding weening myself off of the accutane vs stopping abruptly, I probably wouldn't be in this situation. It really depends on what you feel like you can handle. Personally, I know that if I start taking it again and not changing up my habits (except maybe exercising more) I shouldn't see too many problems.

  • I had to leave another comment 'cause my last one was so long. But I love you're attitude that you have and you're level of self confidence. Acne has really screwed with me mentally and physiologically. I can't even bring myself to look at my face in the mirror, and I avoid the camera at all cost. I wish it would go away!!! Good luck with you're acne and you are really an awesome person!!

  • I really understand where you are coming from, and I addressed your comments in my most recent video titled "Acne and ADTV"

In regards to the COR soap, I've never heard of it but I am glad it is working for you

  • Have you ever tried antibiotics? I was sick and took antibiotics for 2 weeks, which also got rid of my acne!

  • @chocotofu3: You should have tries a naturopathic approach.

  • I am an acne suffer and I wish I had you're self confidence . . . but I don't. I have had acne for 2 years now and I really want to give accutane a try. My acne has gotten way better, and I haven't gotten any cysts in a long long time, but it seems no matter what I always have some kinda blemish on my face. The thing that has worked the best is a product called COR soap. FYI this stuff aint cheap, but it has been a gods send, and is a good investment seeing as how it last for 4-5 months.

  • You are so pretty!! In February I started breaking out badly all of a sudden... going from good skin to bad was such a change, and I really didn't leave the house much. I went on all the usual topicals and antibiotics without any success, so now I'm starting Accutane in a few weeks. I'm very ready for it. I've heard that a lot of people do need two courses of Accutane before they finally clear up, so hopefully this one will clear you up finally. =]

  • Let me know how the accutane goes

  • @BlackGyrl87: This drug is dangerous, look into herbs.

  • Sista you need stop taking them pills. Basically, all pills. They do absolutely nothing good for your body. Don't want to risk pregnancy, use a condom. When there is great trust between a woman and her male partner and they engage in sexual healing naturally as it is suppose to be, the man should acquire the controlling his natural preventive performance.

  • It is not about risking pregnancy, that is definitely not a concern of mine. It is about getting my hormones under control so that my skin stops attacking me. You're right, in the long term, this pills aren't probably the best for me, but until I find another solution, they are doing their job.

  • BlackGyrl87, your skin problem is mostly associated to what you eat and drink. Most Black people in America have no healthy, consistent food staple and they intake more foreign and artificial substances on their body than actual fruits, water, rice, spices, honey, mushroom and so on. Many of them resort further to intaking further artificial sources of supplements; the so-called vitamin pills. Two weeks of ending these unhealthy behaviors will eliminate all your skin problems and strengthen you.

  • I enjoyed your videos very much. Thanks for eloquently sharing your experiences with the different products. Very useful as I'm about to go on Accutane.

  • No problem. When you go on the Accutane, make sure you maintain the same habits in regards to exercise and diet so that you decease your chances of intense side effects. Also, drink LOTS of water, as you will be experiencing some drying in the first few weeks. Good Luck!!!

  • oh well you're very pretty even if you have/had acne. Have you tried Papaya Soap?? It worked for me after Proactiv and the Dermatologist let me down haha

  • I have never heard of that, but I am using Black soap right now...I might give that a try.

  • Aww thank you. Yea men and birth control don't mix lol

  • Corinne your skin has this beautiful glow to it..no matter if you are breaking out

you told this story in a way that i can totally relate to..except for the birth control stuff.lol..
