What a treat! Man, I loved Buzzy in those grass and acid days. He was so different, on the fringe. Saw him down in the village NYC. He was ahead of his time.
The time to live is now, you could be riding on a big fat cow, I'm here to show you how.
Know this circa 1971 or so, that incredible "Music" album which permeated my life just then (- thanks to girlfriend of the time. Love what he does with that rhythm & syncopation - here as well with the echo and fuzz on the studio version.
Buz is a rare taste; what fine stuff he put out there in the late 60s=early 70s. At any moment, how many people are listening to "Music" , "The Time to Live" or "Pussycats"? Doug Rodriguez: Play that guitar! Remember west end drive & "help"---summer of 65!
Wonderful,, The prince of hippydom in full flight. Why isn't Buzzy's best stuff reissued on CD (oh, that's right, it won't sell). great stuff, thanks for digging this rare footage up.
My dear pal Buzzy! I so love to see this and I wish I had known him in his heyday. What a great person he is.. fatalistically mad and beautiful is about right
