The leaders of this country are fair and just, despite of its good and bad; so it was the same mentality back in 1960s, John F. kennedy's era. The leaders of this country are fair and just, despite of its good and bad; so it was the same mentality back in 1960s, John F. kennedy's era. The bottom line is our community in the US, or country is in desperate need a lao person who has tremendous capacity, intell. & educated. That was Y the plan "B" never got to formulate. The incompetency of LPRP prevented Laos from being wealthy and respectable. Under the LPRP we are known as the poorest country with a foreign debt of over $4 billion. We didn't stand a chance in hell against the communist because China, Soviet and N.Vietnam were endlessly supplying them with troops and weapons. The communist secretly broke the treaty. There were more vietminh troop in the Pathet Lao then lao. I have talked to veterans, they were shooting at vietnamese speaking troops.
We ask the US to help but they couldn't because of the Geneva Treaty. The CIA responded with the "Secret War". We were left alone defending against the world wide red.
