I rock a glock 26 as an ankle holster backup. Funny thing, is training to ignore pain in the moment isn't a bad thing. To each their own. Some like to work through the pain and train on. Like the occasional piece of hot brass that finds it's way into your body armor :). But as you would think, when you purchase a weapon you should think about the fit before you pay the man for the weapon. But there is always a trade off, my three gun AR with Magpul PRS stock fits me great, but I can't hide it.
I had a springfield xd.. Good gun just also very small like the baby glock is... But I have fairly large hands, so even a full size gun feels partially unnatural to me..

They have an extension you can slide onto the 10 round mag. Works perfect and is still very concealable. Do your research before you post a video complaining about the best gun manufacturer there is.
It takes very little time to get used to firing with your pinky below the grip rather than using a stick on magazine extension. You should have put a few hundred rounds through it before deciding it doesn't work. The shorter grip is to improve concealibility. If concealibilty isn't an issue, why would you buy a scaled down version of any gun at all?

My G26 pinches my Nephews fingers like that as well. Strange that I have no problems with it. Nor does anyone else who fire pistols alot. I think it has alot to do with grip strength. If you let it flop around then it's gonna bite you. Practice practice practice. But if all else fails then go to a G19. Dont buy an XD with grip safety and thumb safety. Unless you drill alot then you'll choke the safety when you need it. Glock goes bang when you pull the trigger no matter how you hold it.

If going for an xd, get the xdm instead. Then you get the option of different backstraps. And their extended mag fits much tighter than that one in your glock.

The pierce mag extenders solve this "issue" for people who want someplace to put their pinkies. Solves it nicely in my opinion. It's probably the most common add-on for the Glock 26 and this guy doesn't even mention it.
$10 for a Pearce grip extension is all you needed. I have owned and carried a Glock 26 for over a decade both as a law enforcement officer and a civilian. Can't believe you didn't try this before selling.
In order to have a handgun that is nice and small for Summer carry, you have to give up something. Adding the grip extension gives more size. In order to CC in summer a secondary gun choice is going to happen. I would love to carry my SIG P-220, 229 or 245 all the time they are just to large for the summer. In order to stick with at least a 9mm the Glock 26 is one of the best choices. Good mag cap and very reliable. And very small in stock trip.

@AssaultWeaponChannel The DAK is defiantly and acquired taste. I understand the SRT is a refinement that is available on the newer models. I haven't tried the SRT, but I think the DAK can be converted. I'm used to the DAK now, but could be persuaded to convert.
Having owned the same model, I can only say "To each their own." Mine could consistently enlarge it's own bullet holes at will out to 20 feet. So accuracy is not an issue in the right hands. I hope you bought a larger Glock and are quite happy with it. They are a fine weapon.
I do not have this problem with my Springfield XDSC, so if you're wanting something close to the size of the baby Glock for concealed carry try the XDSC. Also, Pearce makes a grip extension so that you can get that ring finger on the grip when shooting the short magazine. I have the XD full size and the XDSC and I'm just as accurate, if not more, with the SC as a am with the full size. Good luck...

Just ordered a Sig 1911 Traditional Government (full size) TacOps through Sig IOP. I can bury my Glocks for a month then dig them up and fire them. But I don't plan on doing that with either my Sigs or my Glocks!
@bonzerrrrr SIGS do cost but are as Rel Dur as Glocks. I carry SIGS on duty and off hanguns and the SIG 551 sp SWAT rifle. Never an issue. However I did have a Glock 23 break and the slide fell right off. Anything can break all made by humans.

I hate to admit it's a legit concern. Some people have to have a place for their pinky finger. Try a Glock 19. As for me, Glock 27 (40) is perfect. Good luck and rent a few before you buy.

That is not a "15 shot clip"... It's a magazine. Clips are used in some rifles and revolvers... not semi-automatic pistols. Also, What is a "safty"? Are you talking about a safety? BTW... Glocks don't have manual safeties.You may want to get educated yourself before you go around trying to educate other people.

My G26 pinches my Nephews fingers like that as well. Strange that I have no problems with it. Nor does anyone else who fire pistols alot. I think it has alot to do with grip strength. If you let it flop around then it's gonna bite you. Practice practice practice. But if all else fails then go to a G19. Dont buy an XD with grip safety and thumb safety. Unless you drill alot then you'll choke the safety when you need it. Glock goes bang when you pull the trigger no matter how you hold it.

There are other +1 magazine adapters that don't pinch. I got them for my model 33 mags.

Sorry, the pinky is overrated for grip...You should take a shooting class the teaches you the proper grip. Then you will learn that your pinky is not needed and it will only cause you to shoot low...but spend the money on a larger gun and not training. That will solve the issue.

umm i own a G26 and i have a pinky extension on the bottom of my 10 round mag... your an idiot! just pay 8 bucks and get the damn peirce grip extension and stop crying! the 26 is a bad ass gun, I love mine and have 0 problem with it, 10000+ rounds. you must not know a bunch about Glocks, otherwise you would know about these simple accessories. BTW i got my G26 on a trade in from a Springfield XD, they suck! at least compared to the glocks accuracy they don't hold a candle to it. Whatever works

If going for an xd, get the xdm instead. Then you get the option of different backstraps. And their extended mag fits much tighter than that one in your glock.

There are other options he didn't even cover in this post. It's like he just wanted to find a reason to fault the Glock 26. Then talk about buying an XD or an M&P just for fun.
The pierce mag extenders solve this "issue" for people who want someplace to put their pinkies. Solves it nicely in my opinion. It's probably the most common add-on for the Glock 26 and this guy doesn't even mention it.

$10 for a Pearce grip extension is all you needed. I have owned and carried a Glock 26 for over a decade both as a law enforcement officer and a civilian. Can't believe you didn't try this before selling.

In order to have a handgun that is nice and small for Summer carry, you have to give up something. Adding the grip extension gives more size. In order to CC in summer a secondary gun choice is going to happen. I would love to carry my SIG P-220, 229 or 245 all the time they are just to large for the summer. In order to stick with at least a 9mm the Glock 26 is one of the best choices. Good mag cap and very reliable. And very small in stock trip.

Having owned the same model, I can only say "To each their own." Mine could consistently enlarge it's own bullet holes at will out to 20 feet. So accuracy is not an issue in the right hands. I hope you bought a larger Glock and are quite happy with it. They are a fine weapon.

I do not have this problem with my Springfield XDSC, so if you're wanting something close to the size of the baby Glock for concealed carry try the XDSC. Also, Pearce makes a grip extension so that you can get that ring finger on the grip when shooting the short magazine. I have the XD full size and the XDSC and I'm just as accurate, if not more, with the SC as a am with the full size. Good luck...

Just ordered a Sig 1911 Traditional Government (full size) TacOps through Sig IOP. I can bury my Glocks for a month then dig them up and fire them. But I don't plan on doing that with either my Sigs or my Glocks!

@bonzerrrrr SIGS do cost but are as Rel Dur as Glocks. I carry SIGS on duty and off hanguns and the SIG 551 sp SWAT rifle. Never an issue. However I did have a Glock 23 break and the slide fell right off. Anything can break all made by humans.
