You have to ask yourself if it was actually for the better good. Explained in CoD4, the Ultranationalist have not been on the UN's goodside. War was bound to happen regardless if Pvt. Allen was included in the Airport massacre due to the gear that was used by Makarov, which were all standard U.S military gear. Hell, he was killed by an M9, that was how thought out the plot was. I am sympathetic with Shepard, I would rather go into a war with more draftees rather then volunteers.

@StitBoyz Site Hotel Bravo wasn't used by the TF141, they were all wiped out at the Safehouse and the Boneyard. Site Hotel Bravo is a completely different place, so if it were accurate only Soap and Price would be usable characters to fight OpFor in multiplayer. And that would be dumb. So, Shadow Company should have been on Afghan.

Wouldn't he have learned about Disciple 4 and 5 flatlining ages before that happened? And during the mission, when that squad passes by you and heads outside, wouldn't they see that pair of dead bodies WAY before that signal about the dead bodies goes out from Oxide?

Given how they drew guys from TF141 like Oxide it seems like Shadow Company is such a new outfit that they wouldn't have the time to set up the required comms and monitoring gear. Plus considering how they figured a sandstorm accounted for Disciple 4 and 5, perhaps the weather had been playing hell with their sensors and Soap and Price just got REAL lucky.

@StitBoyz Site Hotel Bravo wasn't used by the TF141, they were all wiped out at the Safehouse and the Boneyard. Site Hotel Bravo is a completely different place, so if it were accurate only Soap and Price would be usable characters to fight OpFor in multiplayer. And that would be dumb. So, Shadow Company should have been on Afghan.

The mw2 campaign was unrealistic in the idea that just Soap and Price could kill an
army of shadow company spec ops soldiers on their own. Shadow Company could have just put c4 on the walkway with claymores.

One thing I don't get - When the rearguard flatlines, Oxide freaks out.
Wouldn't he have learned about Disciple 4 and 5 flatlining ages before that happened? And during the mission, when that squad passes by you and heads outside, wouldn't they see that pair of dead bodies WAY before that signal about the dead bodies goes out from Oxide?

@GoodEvenings Yeah, I get THAT part. To me, it's not the unrealistic case of two guys taking down a small army. That's a totally different matter. It's the VERY unrealistic case of inconsistent alerts, and the delays in communications on the part of the small army that makes it so easy for these two guys to pull it off. If Disciples 4 and 5 flatlining had been noticed, NONE of that would have happened.

@GunnerySgtCash Far as that goes though, how do we know all of Shadow Company's equipment was functioning properly? Given how they drew guys from TF141 like Oxide it seems like Shadow Company is such a new outfit that they wouldn't have the time to set up the required comms and monitoring gear. Plus considering how they figured a sandstorm accounted for Disciple 4 and 5, perhaps the weather had been playing hell with their sensors and Soap and Price just got REAL lucky.
