  • I know a proper sizeup can't be done from this video, non the less I would love to know that the armchair critics would have done better under the very same circumstances? I don't know the area but I'm guessing greater alarm companies were, at a minimum, 15 minutes away? What do you do hotshots with limited manpower and water? Tell us. I';d love to know. and from 30 years fire service experience, I can tell you that at EVERY working fire, mistakes are made somewhere. Period!.....Retired Chief

  • Good vid

  • To fdny101202. some day a (as you call a volley dept) will save you your dumbass. How many volunteer dept do you think sent people from all over the country to help on 9/11 you ungrateful shithead. If you are a fdny Firefighter you should have your ass kicked. and fired from the dept.

  • that guy must not know how to pull the minute man lay cause he took his sweet time. total CF

  • i love watching the dumbass pulling off the 1 3/4 line off the back of the engine, oh lets just take another 30 minutes to take a line off the engine, its only like 3 damn row homes fully involved. this whole thing was a bigtime C.F.

  • you probably weren`t even at the fire. i was there, and first off it was a 2.5 inch BLITZ LINE not a minute man lay. second off there were so many engines hitting hydrants all at once the pressure was terrible, if you could see aerial ones master stream you could tell this, so if the engine one firefighter takes an extra second to deploy the BLITZ LINE properly to protect the exposure. you should get your facts straight before you shoot your mouth off because you haven`t got a clue!

  • the next comment is in reply to; firefightertank and truckmedic1775

  • why not call in FDNY to then ?

  • DCFD maybe... since theyre a career dept... screw all the volley departments that are around bethlehem.

  • One of my clasmates lived at 635 New st, They almost lost there house.

  • How so? Ninth Avenue and New Street are no where near each other.

  • Oh, I'm just relating what I heard. I don't normaly go around there

  • This just goes to show you there is no such thing as an ordinary grill fire. From what I saw on the news sites, it was called in as a grill on fire and when the fire dept showed up the propane tank exploded. Grill fire to 5 alarm fire.(not sure if it was a full 5 alarms, but the press reported it as that).

  • easton? wow

  • this was some crazy shit i live right behind where it happend

  • i live one block behind where this happend
