question, say you have 3 strings on the 7th fret and you bar the entire 7 fret but only pluck all 3, does that still work or do you mess up your streak? Also, what's the difference between the mad catz and the squier that's coming out in march 2011?

@aotayde2 The mad Catz Mustang is a MIDI guitar with strings + 102 plastic buttons. Close to real, but not real.. well, a real MIDI guitar, though. The Squier is a real electric guitar with special sensors.

BTW: You can strum all 3 strings.

You can Lefty-Flip the Mustang from MadCatz, but it will not work with the squer Stratocaster from Fender that comes in March.

You mean the Squier Stratocaster? Yes, it comes in march 2011 in the USA. Might be a bit later elsewhere. You can preorder that nice thing starting Jan 1st. Just go to fenders homepage and look up the details. Don't forget that you will need a mad catz midi adaptor suiting your console - The guitar has no console specific controls and needs the adapter to be hooked up.

Depends on system and retailer. Game is between 40 (wii) and 50 to 60 bucks (PS3 and X360). Guitar (MC Mustan Pro Guitar) is 130 to 150 bucks.

I think it's funny that, if you know your power chords, this is the easiest song in the game, even on expert. Of course, this was the first song I ever taught myself of guitar when I started years ago and I was able to jump right in and play it no problem.

From what I can gather from playing the 'pro' guitar myself is that this could easily be a way to learn guitar. The tutorials are pretty deep and being able to play individual sections of songs at various speeds and difficulties is great.

Kudos to you KaraokeFreak1. Appreciate the videos demo'ing each difficulty. Gives a good representation. The notations albeit, confusing and make NO sense to me as is, the trainers go over it so I've read. Looking forward to trying out Pro mode.

i loved GH 1 and 2 and even 80's but as soon as activision took over and the original creators of GH made rock band i immediately was a rock band player and they never seem to fail me where as GH has made some shitty mistakes (world tour, band hero) rock band is clearly superior to guitar hero in every way. thank you for reading : D

No, the Trainers will show you how the chords work. The Chord-Numbering Optionin the overshell acivates full Tab view, so it shows all numbers for all fingers.

@GoldenJokered I tried playing the chords in standard tuning on my acoustic and it sounded pretty damn accurate. On medium pro guitar, the game charts 3 note power chords as 2 note power chords. I'm sure if karaokefreak1 were to play the expert chart, the game would chart 3 note power chords and include the right amount of chords to strum. BTW, thanks karaokefreak1 for posting the chart!

@GoldenJokered indeed, you're reading it wrong, they're perfectly normal power chords with a root and a 5th. The actual song is played with power chords that include the octave but this is acceptable, especially for medium difficulty.

What are you talking about? A power chord specifically *is* two or three strings, instead of 4, 5 or 6 for a full chord. That's the *definition* of a power chord. It's a chord with fewer notes.

If you mean, these aren't the full chords in the song... duh. It's medium. You notice how s/he didn't have to play every strum?
