everyones asking, and the answers have been all over the place. the chords are a derivative of pachelbel's canon, using the first 5 chords (minus the fourth). in E, the chords are: E B C# A. in A, the chords are: A E F#m D. in C, the chords are: C G Am F. those are the 3 major keys used to create 4 chord songs, but others will start on the 3 chord. for example, "you're gonna go far kid" uses Am to start but follows with the other chords. to achieve any other key, its easiest to just use a capo.

@eirikmatias it is that for certain songs but its derived from Am, F, C, G; and the notes change depending on the song, now keep in mind im going to refer to guitar for this whole thing btw, but to play dont stop believing with the Am F C G you need a capo on the 5th fret because it starts on E, to play youre beautiful you, you have to put the capo on the 3rd because it starts on a Bb, same with Apologize. also notw that only apologize starts on the Am in those examples, the rest start on C.
