We've been blessed with some wonderful announcers in the Motor City, and George Kell is near the top of that list.

My favorite, "But the damage is done!". To me he will always be the voice of summer. To this day, when I hear his voice, I can still smell the freshly cut grass....

I'll miss our "Mister Baseball"...GEORGE KELL! He will be sadly missed. Mr.Kell got me interested in baseball in the early 60's & who could ever forget his home game openings.."HELLO,AGAIN EVERYBODY FROM TIGER STADIUM. Wonderful tribute to Mr. Kell. Obviously done with much affection and respect. George will always be with us in Detroit and with all who knew him. Thanks for the tribute.
