@legofan777 the British army standard issue rifle the L85A2 is now manufactured by Heckler and Hock due to the problems the original L85A1 had the british army turned to h&k for improvements. and it worked being one of the most accurate assault rifles on the market more accurate than the us m4. the reliability had also been massively improved being very reliable now.

I've had my L85 for about a year, had a few problems with it but nothing too bad, it was all easily fixed. If the foregrip thing worries you, just buy an M4 CASV RIS foregrip, I fitted one on mine no problem, looks awesome too. The semi problem must be a one off cos mine works perfectly, it has a precocking mech too so you get instant fire when you pull the trigger. If you have the money go for a G+G, if you're on a budget, and you really want an L85 then get this.

To start with, it's an L85A1, not A2. That aside - not much difference apart from the cocking handle(exterior). I noticed you use the bolt catch to holod AND release the bolt forwards. You may have noticed a small doughnut shaped button on the other side of the TMH(Trigger Mechanism Housing), wonder what it's for? Its exact purpose is to release the bolt forwards after a reload drill(of course it may not be featured on this replica). As for the selector switch...

actually see46 the rate of fire of the r85a1 is 13 to 15 rounds per second i have it and clocked it just wanted to inform you also awesome review.

I hate this gun for the following reasons, and i would advise against getting one to anyone.

The foregrip is just the worst thing, the whole thing is attatched by a single grub screw.

The gun basically wont do semi auto.

you have to file the rail ontop for use with the star SUSAT

The magazine well are differently miss-shapen on each one.

The cocking leaver sticks.

and this was the second version aswell!

If anyone wants a good reliable bullpup, get the TM P90 as many, many say.

Most of the mark three versions of the Army Armament R85a1 are alright with keeping the Blowback on, however it will reduce the FPS.

The barrel is a lot longer than a M4, or G36C due to all the mechanics being at the back.

I don't know if it works on the older version so you can use the same sight-raiser as they use on an A&K tactical, I wouldn't advise it for the simple fact that I wouldn't want all of you going and blowing however much on a scope that doesn't fit.

l85 yes, but famas no becuse if you look at the back of a m4 mag, it has the back part, the famas mags do not have that so famas will not take a m4 mag

only problems i have heard of in this gun is the piston breaking.

so buy a G&G piston for this, make sure its the 1 designed for this because its 10mm longer than most pistons so they others wont work
