Because, if you did your research, you would know that Van Jones, Does not consider himself a communist anymore. And he was given the job because he founded "Green For All" which was (and still is) a very powerful NGO.

There's absolutely no way to reconcile the differences in objectives between organized labor and the eco-nutjobs. Everything done to appease the drug-induced fantasies of the grenies hurts the economy which hurts both union and non-union workers. Obama and his compatriots have proven time and again their willingness to throw union jobs under the bus to keep hold of the money-machine the green movement has become. Yet the unions still back them because of that silly little "d" after their names.
