I actually really liked this movie. I though what made this movie interesting was how realistic it was- it was a comedy, but it was also a legitimately good film. Sort of Tina Fey ish for me- it just worked. They didn't make it all magic- they left in the grit. However, there are the two issues they never really explained- their attraction for each other (she does seem a bit out of his league) and he decision to keep the baby, which was plotting.
yeah i know this sounds gay and a lot of ppl r gonna reply that im a homo, but... i dont know why everyone says Seth Rogen is ugly and shit. i honestly think hes better than average looking, even more so now hes slimmer.
why do people say that a woman like katherine heigl would never sleep with a guy like seth rogen?
seth rogen is fucking awesome and no homo but katherine heigl isn't even hot, i mean she's okay but there's so many bitches out there that are a zillion times hotter
which (romantic) vulgar comedy hasn't been influenced by There's Something About Mary? just sayin, that movie was classic. I loved this movie as well and this is a great review, S.S.
you guys are total idiots, this movie was average at best, by any standards we apply to film criticism... the script didnt exist, the characters had no depth and no endearing qualities, the jokes were stale and recycled, it is everything that is wrong with our culture wrapped into one big stinking pile of shit
you are so wrong. characters, situations were ripped right from real life. i know these people. if you think this is everything that's wrong with our culture, you muight be living in a '50s dreamworld.
40 year old guys who have never been laid is not such a rediculous premise. Have you ever met guys who play dungeons and dragons? Most of them have never even kissed a woman.
"One of the best comedies I've seen in a while, since Borat"
Borat wasn't in the cinema long ago so that statement was fine until Borat was mentioned. Basically you're saying this is one of the funniest movies within the past 6 months or so.
Yeah, I see what you're saying. The only reason I had to say since "Borat" was becuz that was also a 4-star movie. Usually comedies aren't 4-star movies for me, butit just so happens the last one was "Borat." Don't let that comment dissuade you from thinking that I also loved "Knocked Up" quite a bit. I'm just not one of those snobs who won't give a good comedy its due!
I loved 40 Year Old Virgin, but I also really did like this movie. 40 Year Old Virgin did have alot of crude jokes, but I thought it worked. I will admit though Knocked Up spares less jokes and more heart. Still though Knocked Up was very funny. Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd are hilarious together. I still don't know if Seth is the best leading guy just yet. Judd Apatow may be the next John Hughes making movies that are really funny and have heart too.
40 year old virgin shits on knocked up

Both 40 year old virgin and Knocked Up are equally funny but Knocked Up is better because it has more heart to it, but both are great movies.

The people who say this movie sucks are idiots. This is one of the best, if not the best movies of the year.
